Thanks
Just came across your channel. Winner winner chicken dinner! You crack me up! I am from Canada use to have a second vacation home in cape Coral years ago! Sold before the down turn. And thank you for taking things out of all the places you demo. It pains me so much these million dollar mansions that get demoed and they leave amazing hand crafted staircases, woodworking all over the homes and perfectly good kitchens, floors and all the doors and knobs etc. some that are ancient that someone would pay a lot for....so thank you for taking it out and selling it. I am sure it's worth your time for taking out anything salvageable!!!!! Hello from Calgary, Alberta Canada!!!
Hello and thanks for being apart of our community.
It’s unbelievable what was allowed to be built in Florida in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
Fishing shacks...
It is crazy. I am a remodel specialist after looking at the front. I thought I could’ve remodeled it, but after seeing the whole video, I was amazed of what the water did to it does have to be torn down because of all the damage.
The water has so much brute force and then you have salt water that eats everything...
@@removeitprosdemolition I’m glad I’ve never experienced that even though I do live in the Seattle area. We haven’t had that many issues. Stay safe bless you all for doing what you do.
That blackthorn walking stick you picked up is $50-$100 right there.
Really?
another great video. Looks like you have an amazing team around you. I learn a lot watching these videos.
Yes we do, blessed.
I'm an owner at the neighboring property, the green and blue building. That's Tropical Sands Resort. We are a deeded timeshare resort. The guy that owns our management company also owns a construction company as well, so he was able to utilize his maintenance crews to help with the rebuild and not using all 3rd party companies/contractors (obviously some had to be used for stuff like the pool, elevators, etc) really sped up the process. We opened back up at the beginning of June.
I was just there last week and it was saddening to see all the vacant lots everywhere from homes and resorts being torn down.
I'm so glad to see you guys are back in your units over there. We are going to get this mess. Cleaned up here shortly and best of luck to you. I got creamed by the storm myself.
Great video. Enjoyed seeing your thought process as it happened
Ft Meyers is lucky to have you. 🌞
That's very nice thanks!!
I run a junk removal company in Calgary, Canada. I really look up to you, your business is so successful. You treat your employees with respect and I love how your wife gets to tag along and look for stuff. You’re a freaking champion man, very inspiring.
Wow what a complement, thanks. Do you resell stuff?
@@removeitprosdemolition if I could achieve half of what you have with your company, I would be a very happy man. We do a bit of resale! One thing that really stood out to me in this video is when you said “Our rules changes all of the time” in regard to storing resale items. We typically fill up so fast that a lot of the good stuff ends up in the landfill. When did you start your business if you don’t mind me asking?

This scrap yard takes them as shreds....9 to 10 cents a pound.
thanks 4 the tour
You are welcome
Just found your channel and subscribed! Wonderful to see things going to reuse and recycle instead of just to the dump! Thanks for showing us!
Thanks for subscribing
would love to see you guys actually tearing the building down after you take what you want from inside
coming up!!!
i would rather see an investment group or the local municipality get a grant to refurbish them as we have a huge housing shortage in the US!!
its ashame you have to tear it down upstairs is like it wasnt touched im glad that your repurposing what can be and what can be it to labor costly like those granite tops awsome job guy
I hear you. It just kills me that we've got to tear those buildings down. That second floor is very much in good shape.
Ditto just found your channel and subscribed. Love the content, I recycled scrap for most of my life and a little of what you are doing, wish I was still doing it
Welcome aboard!
It was nice to see all of the stuff that you will try to resell.
I hate to see good things destroyed that someone else could use. Thank you for letting us know what you know will sell and what will not sell. Sounds like you need more storage space.
Thanks
I am GLAD to see you recycling some windows, and stuff in general!
www.reuseitpros.com we recycle a lot!!
extremely interesting video. I like the fact that you took the time to show every unit and what exactly is going to go on even though I know the waste and scrap metal game really really good sometimes there’s just certain things but you just can’t sell and time-consuming by the time you take them out piece by piece in order for them to sit on the shelf and not move in then end up scrapping them anyway so money is money but you have to think in the long run but you have an opportunity to have a store and a refill thing and small little brick of brack will sell faster than anything be safe and show us the demo….Bob
It won't work for most......got to be on top of the situation and be careful, luxury market helps alot................17 year track record. Proof is in the pudding....www.reuseitpros.com
The power of water is amazing.... just blowing through walls. lots of nice stuff on the upper levels, treasure hunts are fun. what about the spiral staircases???
I love treasure hunts!!!! lol they are wood and not something I could sell quick enough.
It was interesting. I watched it all.
Thanks

Wish I would have known about your store before the hurricane. Could have rebuilt our 40 year old mobile home on the cheap and stayed under the 50% rule.
Me too!!!!
A lot of that stuff, specially hurricane rated stuff, can be put in a container and sold in the Caribbean easily for building supplies that will be reused in homes.

What about all the copper wire?
take what we can....
You should also look in the couches and mattresses in case if someone did hid money, most likely you’ll find some change in the couches though so there’s always a chance,
I have found stuff in the couches.
@@removeitprosdemolition nice!
I forgot how good resales are on demo work some nice profit coming off them units😊
Yes they are!
I would but the unique wall unit in the 2-story because of the uniqueness of the look. I like the look of things like that for my various collector items I buy. I would love the plans for something like that because I know it was not just built by just using someone's eyes.
Thanks for watching and the comment....
the guy you got breaking the walls to get into the units needs to learn how to pick locks, very easy
It's very easy for him to put a hole in the wall
@@removeitprosdemolition hope he doesn't find a live exposed wire :P
I like the idea of recycling and reselling items to the people that lost stuff and need to rebuild their lives, but 500-1000 for a $250 Temu couch set is a far reach
WE have a hard time selling furniture from our warehouse.....I am guessing off of past sales..
I’ve watched four of your videos since watching and sharing your walkthru of The Dolphin Inn. Lots of good memories there as I knew Travis & Jen the previous owners. I’ve been trying to place your Midwest accent, but in this one you said “dishWARSHer” so I’m betting Southern Indiana. 😂 I was born in Princeton, IN.
I caught that too. No disrespect as I have a nasally Rochester NY “accent”.
I’ve heard warsher from other areas of the country. Long Island, Georgia for example. 🤷♂️
Welcome back! Ohio is where I am from....
No disrespect, when I watch these videos there a few words that sound funny to me when I say them......interesting watching yourself..
I can’t imagine using a salvaged window from a hurricane home. Those dual pane windows can get moisture trapped between the Paynes making them cloudy. Not to mention they were submerged in salt water for a time.
Yeah those kind we do not take out, if they have been pushed by surge on by water it in. Lots got wet but were not stressed. They are fine. Seals blow if they had surge.
Hudson! I see you in those flip flops. WHAT DID I TELL YOU?
😂
Do you ever offer curbside 'free sale' of furnishings you dont want to sell? Saves dumpster/landfill space and helps those who are still struggling to get back on their feet.
I visited the area a few months ago and was amazed at how many people are still in trailers.😢
We have done free curb alerts here and there, they become a big waste of time. People come to you like they are shopping and the emotional are heavy here in the free space, needy people are huge time wasters. Our area is so well off its not a very good option here in Cape Coral it worked somewhat. 10 years ago that is.
Impact windows are $200-$400 brand new depending on series at the big box stores. Should have broke the window to enter the unit.
Hurricane windows are way more expensive than that and these guys are animals it took him 15 minutes each hole.....
New subscriber. Where is your store for the public at. Do you sell on line?

Questions: how long will it take for you to be complete demo on 30 units, how do you get these, do your workers get to take anything?
Yes they get stuff and our shop sell stuff to them at a huge discount. Keep in mind the huge discount given on this job for the salvageable items. That our business model.

And Angie set it free.
some good stuff which you don't want to take could be suggested to organizations which help poor people.
Watch the next video on this property we will showcase how we donate.
I don't think I could do this job, my OCD would be telling me to collect everything. lol
My OCD wants me to collect everything.
Do you mess with copper wiring, or not worth it to you?
Yes we do. Watch our scrap video.
What would you bid on something like this and what kind of profit do you shoot for? Or do you just buy the property as is?
We do it off of the amount of days and the guess of the amount of loads and what type material.......its not what you think it less.
What about light fixtures
We only sell super fancy light fixtures.
I have small excavating company and do some demolition. Can you do a video on best way to remove or get stuff to recycle ? I throw to much away and know I’m missing on profits
A bunch of the videos cover that. Look at www.reuseitpros.com to see what we resell.

put blue tape on the thing you keep
Yep. It's easier for the guys to remember when they go through the units to take stuff out. Thanks for watching!
I’d love to get all the microwaves and wiring to make more metal art out of the copper?

Is it worth it to post the furniture on facebook and have people pick it up? Saves space in trucks and in the shop?
Pretty much because of insurance and timing, we really can't do that.
This is both so sad and uplifting ti see the up cycling! Also
Please please use sun screen especially on your nose no offence you look like Rudolph the red nose reindeer
I hear you I use sunblock everyday!!!
I just ask myself, how you over there in USA build homes. Greetings from Germany with stable walls.
Yeah the wood structures and the cinder block homes without rebar and tie beams didn't make it.
So you're taking the refrigerator to dump and not gonna scrap it?
Not usually
Not usually
Wouldn't it be easier to get a couple of your guys trained up on lock picking, or just hire a locksmith to come out and unlock all of the doors for you. Save you so much time and trouble. Just a thought.
That's no fun, took them a hour to get us in all units and didn't hold us up really much at all. Plus no additional cost or waiting.
Arent there master keys in the office?
No office
Again watching the videos. Talk about cleaning up but looking at the appliances especially the refrigerator we know they are junk. Sitting with no power and without the doors open are junk. Mold and stink let alone if they still run..
I sell 1200 fridges a year......most can be cleaned....very few cannot. Got to remember most of these are rentals or seasonal houses so very little is left in fridges....on average.
Lights and and

Fortunately, no squatters
Yes no squatters.
Do you hook your employees up with any of that stuff?
Yes we do!!!
Came across this channel, and watched it, good stuff, but question, the renters/owners that used to live there, do they even have a chance to come get what they owned, like furniture and clothes etc, etc, how does that work, seen in you videos lot of personal stuff, kinda sad to see and know that was people's things! So do they get chance to recover anything, how does that work?
Second homes. Yes they could come get whatever they wanted. The stuff they left they left on purpose.
What’s a wet bar ? And with that question is there a dry bar ? And if there is what’s a dry bar
I'm not sure i'm fully qualified to explain this, but a wet bar is a place where you keep your liquor and you have a sink with water.
@removeitprosdemolition And the dry bar would be one that has liquor but no sink.
The upper half of that place is good shape I don't know why the bottom half can't be remodeled while you stay in the top half
50% Rule?
Definitely a fantasy there is no way your prices are way too freaking high bathroom vanity 200 bucks. You gave a low price on the furnace, but massively high prices on the rest kitchen cabinets go for not even 100 bucks in individual cabinet.
I hear ya, But yet we sell close to a million dollars a year.........www.reuseitpros.com
Whatever you can't sell I HOPE can go to Habitat for Humanity or the like. ♻️
We donate a bunch.
All the tvs and ceiling fans are scrap metal. Dont leave those behind.
Its all about time....
Why don’t you salvage any of the fire alarm system pull stations on the outside of the building? I’m sure you come across these type of devices in other buildings. I collect them and am always looking for more of them
Are you talking about the little pool stations? Are you talking about the controllers? Or the piping outside the buildings?
@@removeitprosdemolition the pull stations, bells, horns, strobes, horn/strobes, control panels, etc believe it or not there is a MASSIVE community of people who collect these things, to the point that there are dedicated Facebook pages and websites of people that show off their collection or take a picture of a really old fire alarm device they saw in a building, post about something they picked up at a antique store, etc some of us even go out and get a hold of guys like you and do our best to get permission to save the fire alarm system components. The piping and wiring isn’t of any interest, it’s the alarms themselves
Why do people not come back and take there stuff ?
That a good question, different reasons from no where to keep it, to being rich enough they don't care it doesn't matter, we use their stuff as a bargaining chip to get the job. We reduce the price because we will sell the stuff....
Im confused, how are you allowed to go get that stuff? Isnt that considered stealing? I know this is probably a stupid question. Is it because you are the company that tears down the buildings?
We work the salvage into the deal.
@@removeitprosdemolition Awesome, thank you for explaining 🤗
Copperwire
Got it
Where are you located?
We will strip as much wire as we can kitchens and windows are the booty.
Fort Myers Beach Florida
@@removeitprosdemolition I flew one way to Fort Meyers to buy a 2003 rust free S-10 pick up, way before the "Big One" I bought my truck from Dove and Associates, are they still around? I'm from Michigan. Oh and I just subbed ya.
I'm guessing from what I'm seeing in this video that the original owners cannot get their stuff out?
They have had many months to do that, the representative for the owners has kept them up to speed. We mailed a guys a suitcase, others sold us their kitchens, we are taking out the remaining kitchens, vanities, windows, HVAC systems, hot water heaters, appliances, doors, trex and railings and various scrap. Helping out a active church mission with most of the household stuff. they were here today with 10 humans and 2 trucks getting the stuff out we also donated some stuff we usually keep to sell. Fridges and stoves.
Do the owners get a payout and buy somewhere else?
I have heard they get insurance money and they sell the property and spilt that up as well. They will not be made whole. I am sure.
You keep breaking them door windows talking about they’re not hurricane proof, but they lasted through the hurricane
I will correct myself they are not to todays hurricane code........
@@removeitprosdemolition I was gonna say that’s probably what you meant lol
Where are the original owners and why didnt they return to claim their stuff?
From what I understand they did go get what they wanted, but most of them fly down here on airplanes and they have no place to keep their stuff.
I don't understand your contracts. I run a demo crew and we get told what specifically we are supposed to take, not to take, and almost nothing is take what you want.
We give them better price for the salvage it works......
Wassup
howdy!!
Put the shells back on the beach where they belong. They do recycle their shells, ignorant people take them away.
Huh??
This guy is amazing, his market is Naples to Tampa Bay, his name is demolish ion pros. He’s in such a high market area that he want to save the custom railing, the doors and windows that have been trough a hurricane, just to make a buck. The clientele there would never buy it, let’s put morel railing around the pool. He’s on an episode of horders in the next year. He said he doesn’t have any more room already, I love this guy!! He reminds me of my grandfather that I had to clean up his 80 acres when he died. Your the best, someone will buy it, not, your the middleman for the trash company! Get a big picture, for real, you’re going bankrupt in 2 years. The cost in labor to remove those railings and they sit forever and nothing, your killing your business. Take it to scrap.
But yet we have a thriving business, 17 years on the resale side, the resale shop does over $800K a year. and the scrap another $300K. Its because of this thinking that the landfills get so much very nice stuff each year, most are not organized enough, its all in the planning.

Life in Flori-Duh.
Honestly, the biggest threat to your life in Flori-Duh revolves around the republicans in Tallahassee. They would rather BAN books than read them! And there is a MASSIVE homeowners insurance calamity coming to Flori-Duh; I highly recommend you stay away from this state over the next 5-10 years, since this is going to come to a head, thousands of condo buildings will be reduced to little value at all, and then they will all have to be knocked down. Costing the now homeless owners; The republican state government DOESN'T CARE~
As to Fort Myers Beach? It will never be the same, and I bet it's population will be cut in half.
I live in Fort Liquordale, but I am 1 mile inland and since the bottom of the Sargasso sea just off of our beach drops off so quickly, a storm surge such as seen in Fort Myers is very unlikely at my home. Despite "governor" DeathSantis and his stupid, toothless trailer-dwelling or 80+ year old followers, I'm not leaving this place. It is still way better than some frozen shithole up north~!
