Always a pleasure to watch you channel. No saw work today for me, had to do the water pump on my truck today. Oh well. Thanks for all you do. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙
Hi, very interesting . I cant wait to see what the end result. The only bit of advice I can give with these saws is always use genuine bearings and seals. Just keep doing what you are doing.👍 Tim
Thanks again tinman and I always enjoy a front row seat in the saw shop class! Ground my 266 cylinder and went waaaaay to far on the transfers 🤣 but I think it’ll be okay.
I know they're a plastic clamshell homeowner grade saw but I've been kinda wanting to add an ms250 to my fleet! Talked to my local dealer last Friday and supposedly Stihl has discontinued them but... they're still available🤷♂️ either way, I want one before I can't get a new one. Dealer didn't have any in stock. Should be in next 2 weeks!
I have 020 super and trying to get some knowledge on it. Right now i would like to goto a 18" bar. Friend had a couple old 18" bars to see if it would fit. No fit, what am i looking for.
i have a question on the echo cs 590, im getting into porting saws and i ported my 590, i raised the exost port from 113 degrees atdc to 103 degrees atdc, so i was wondering how high i should raise the transfers and how to get my transfer numbers. please and thank you.
Hey I am currently in the process of a full rebuild/port clean up on one of these saws. 2 Questions I'm hoping maybe you can answer, #1 the saw has an older 020 carb with no accelerator port. Are these better? Or should I opt to pick up a new OEM stihl carb with the accelerator port? #2, I purchased a Meteor cylinder and piston kit, and for the life of me I cannot get the new wrist pin into the new cylinder. Is this normal with these? I thought they should just slide in with no force. Love the content, hope you can give me some insight! I will be following thus series for sure!
@@mattammann3833 Yes I am aware, I wrench for a living. To be fair you said you couldn't get the wrist pin in the cylinder.... so I was a bit confused as to what you were trying to do lol
the Okanagan is unique for its stands of timber. because some areas have a mix of hard and soft. Then other areas it has nothing but hard wood so i find its kinda a toss up to be honest.
Hey Tinman, I just converted an 038 super to an 038 mag. I have an OEM 038 cylinder and piston that can be mounted to a mag by enlarging the bolt holes. It’s yours if you want I can send an email. Cheers buddy
Hey Tinman maybe you can reach out to your friends at Rip Saw I think in one of Buckins videos he said that Rip Saw is known for there 200t maybe they can help you with the numbers
🎉Congrats on 39k subscribers! Your channel is truly worth the watch!
Crazy! He was at 20k not very long ago.
Wow! Those are some crazy numbers for stock. Surprising that they're as torquey as they are!

Another great video Tinman. I can't wait to see the next steps. Keep up the good work and stay safe.

Lots of hickory here in Michigan. It takes a real chainsaw to cut wood here.
Funny timing. Just picked up a 010AV non-runner and want to give it some TLC

Do you mean the wrist pin in the piston? Or the piston in the cylinder?
@@alotl1kevegas860 the wrist pin connects the piston to the rod

@AlotL1keVegas that's totally my bad I was half asleep when I wrote thst comment I didn't even realize how badly I mistyped that lol
@@mattammann3833 It happens lol. Put the wrist pin in the freezer over night, then try fitting it. It should pop right in 😊
Try Rooibos tea from South Africa. Its great for the stomach. Got some natural Zinc in.
