Its not broken, its fixed. Telesto is a precision frame fusion rifle, but it hasn’t had the damage profile of one for a while. Not sure how none of us picked up on that.
So Jake this was intentional Bungie fixed an issue where Telesto was doing less damage than intended in pvp so this damage increase was what Telesto was supposed to be doing the whole time.
Can confirm that its current damage is intended - after a random hotfix last season, it was bugged and was doing its pre-checkmate damage values of about 40 damage per bolt. In the most recent patch for Act 2 they fixed this, so it is back to doing 48 damage per bolt like other Precision Frame fusions (Plug One, Main Ingredient, etc) That being said it still has a lot of bugs with hit registration ever since they pushed a fix to keep it from damaging through the Ghosts of the Deep shield. So for every crazy range shot you get on someone, you get a point blank hit that does no damage or gets stuck in midair.
I definitely recommend checking Cross's video on the patches this update. In the video it is depicted as Telesto dealing 39 dmg per bolt, which Bungie stated was in fact a bug. They have now fixed the bug which now makes each bolt do 47 allowing 5 bolts to kill guardians now. I recommend to anyone to give Telesto a trial run (Not in trials, I mean just in general) and see if it floats your boat
Most people playing trials in fact do not "understand map control" or managing respawn prevention.... Seeing the teammates Jake had reminds me of the typical struggles even just playing zones in iron banner or control in general
Bruh that thing is not broken, its fixed. It would only be broken if only one of the 8 to 10 bullets the weapon fires could kill a Guardian. Of course, if someone with low resilience gets hit by this weapon, they'll die pretty quickly, but someone with T9 or T10 resilience wouldn't die until all the bullets hit them.
It's hard to have a full game without a teammate leaving. Teammate died once we won round. They left. Maybe they forgot they were cooking who knows. My solo experience right now.. lol
I’m usually a heavy trials player with a 1.78+ seasonal KD last few seasons and I just knew this weekend would be absolute dog shit. Didn’t play a single game and proud of it. 😂

You could still kill with the old bugged values, it just made it so you had to land 6 of 7 bolts dead on, as opposed to now needing 5 of 7 bolts. Telesto's weakness is that the bolts do less damage the further from the center of the bolt you are, so landing 6 full damage bolts was much more difficult with reduced damage on each one.

At 1:30 how did his crimals dagger do 100 each hit. He didnt have a buff or adagio yet. Just a smoke. Something to do with a void debuff maybe?
