- went collecting in maine, Mt Apatite and the Harvard Quarry, found so many beautiful specimens of black tourmaline
I do not own any right to the music played in this video
I am loving your content. Thanks for the info.
@@rachelluciano1418 I’m really glad to hear that. I try to share as much info as I can on the locations to make it so others can go and enjoy collecting with a better understanding of what is there and how you’re gna find/collect it.
I moved to Maine in 1982, and I met an older guy who had been mining for 20 years. We ended up being mining partners and went to 12 different mines over a period of 14 years. One of those mines was the Harvard Quarry, and I remember how steep it was. We went to the Dunton Mine in Newry many times, and I always remember the great view from that mine.
Love this video . Thank you. I would like to have you do one on beaches of Maine. Thank you for doing this. Very educational
I would love to do some on the beaches.. might try to get to one next week when I’m up there
so beautiful black tourmaline
Thanks for the video. I’ve been wanting to check this quarry out. You found some beautiful pieces!
Assume video. You have some really cool finds. I've wanted to hunt for Tourmaline in Maine for a long time, but it is pretty kinda a far trip from Kentucky
Yea definitely a lil far but u guys have some dope geodes in Kentucky right?
@@Brian_the_Rockhound yep quartz and botryoidal chalcedony in the part where I live and kentucky agate in eastern kentucky
One day soon I'll be able to get out to Kentucky n collect. It's on my list of places to get to before I retire in 18 more yrs. Lol
Awesome finds! Keep up the vids!
Thanks brother. It was a excellent time collecting a few beautiful pieces came home and I left the rest for everyone else
That is a sweet piece!
The cover piece is got sure. I just finally go ahold of give away winners n shipped it to the the week. Should arrive early next week.
There are a few locations I know of here in the west that I go to get schorl, but the crystals you collected are better than what we typically get here. Nice!
Keep rockhounding. I love your stuff. I'm going to Powers farm to dig me some of that black Tourmaline 😊
I was hoping to make it there this year. It's like 4 hr drive for me but worth it for a day diggin there
Powers farm that is.
Wow! Very cool!
Hi from AUS mate. Great vid and keep up the content.

Thanks for the video. I want to get up there but the hike in is intimidating!
It's a bit of a hike up but it's beautiful And totally worth it for what you'll find.
It used to be an easy short hike until it was exploited and disrespectful out of staters ruined it...
I love Schorl. if you ever have a homerun piece, please let me know. I haven't found a website for you...? I will now look for your IG. thanks for the video.

I have lived in Maine all my life. Just over the past 3 years I have broke into the prospecting, rock hounding and metal detecting world. Wish I did sooner. A mineral that I don't hear many people talk about finding in Maine is andalusite. Have you found any?
Honestly I would have no clue. I may in my pales of things I've collected waiting to be cleaned. I have like 12 totes boxes n buckets of stuff from different places I don't have the time to ever go through. Wish I did lol
Do you think The Rock, is a rock enthusiast?
Be cool if he was but the odds are more that he's a cooking enthusiast if ya smell what I'm cookin
