- Factory unopened 1KD-FTV 3.0L turbo diesel (275,000ks)
- Garret G series turbo with internal waste gate removed
- Turbo smart 40mm external gate
- Turbo smart boost T
- 3 inch exhaust with Cat
- GnL performance high mount manifold modified to suit garret
- in house fab in-line maf sensor
- psico front mount intercooler with custom hot and cold side pipes
- custom made airbox with unfilter pod
- 4 inch fabulous fab snorkel
- 30+ injector caps
- custom intake plenum
- secondary fuel filter
- HPD coolant and power steering reservoirs
- Alloy rocker cover
- clear timing belt cover
- EGT / BOOST gauges
- ECU-SHOP MMKD and doctor diesel tune
- Tuned to 240hp / 650nm on 35” tyres, roller dyno

- SAS conversion by Mechfab Industries (engineered by Blake’s engineering Rutherford)
- GU patrol front and rear diffs (4.3 ratios)
- GU patrol steering box
- custom radius arms, alloy drag link, tie rod and panhard by mechfab industries
- 2.0 12” profender coilovers front (changing to radflo 2.5 x 12”)
- profender 2” hydro bump stops front
- RG leaf with 190mm phat bars shackles rear
- 2.0 12” remote res superior shocks rear
- superior engineering steering stabiliser

@@newport5504 I didn’t leave any rubbish? It wasn’t a mates camping trip, last night I went out there with a few mates hung around a while then we went up the road and camped then left this morning. Where we camped there was no rubbish, don’t try to say some random bush party was me and my mates camping and making a mess 😂 we stopped by, then we left and camped up the road.

Great rig! When you were talking about the cost. All lot of people will say , man that’s a lot of money. It’s not when it is what your passion is and an enjoyment to you. They don’t get it. To me I’m the same way , money isn’t a concern when it’s your passion. I do all the things I can do myself to save some money.

Absolutely epic build video. Well done Kaito on such a detailed and interesting build. You can really see the passion. I must say though when talking about no other dual cab ute options when choosing to convert you could of just gone an LN106. Best 4wd ever made 😊. Too old for your liking perhaps.
Ln's are great! but back when i bought the car i didnt know where i was heading, i got accepted for a 20k loan and this showed up at 19 so i went for it. turbo diesel manual dual cab was all i knew about it haha.

What a build. I’m just wondering about the seats. Were they brackets that can be bought from somewhere or were they custom fabricated like a one off. I’d like to put the same seats in my n70. If I can buy the bracket from somewhere please let me know

Where did you get the mounting kit from for the toyota 86 seats and were there any modifications you needed to do to the mounting kit to make them fit? I have brought a set of 86 seats and I'm looking for a way to do this

after seeing this lad on the 4wd 24/7 episodes he always seemed to look a bit nervous and in need of directions in the driving seat. bit of a frightened expression on his face at times as if he was new to offroading.
after watching this i've changed my mind, the guy seriously knows his stuff and has really done some research. absolutely awesome build with heaps of thought gone into it. look forward to seeing the 4 link rear.
one question though, here in England we have alot of people with defenders and Discoverys built with winch challenge parts which are easy to get from suppliers. there's heaps of suspension kits that give insane flex, but one thing people do alot is use the tubular wings, tray backs and full tied in external roll cages.
is there laws in Australia that prevent people doing that? as we don't have to go through all this "engineering" hassle or worry about police pull over's all the time.

Hey mate, just wondering about your seats. You said the 86 seats pretty much just bolt in, was just wondering age of the seats you have? I have some 2013 86 seats and a 2012 SR5 and rails are quite different. Is there an adapter kit you used or cut and weld job? Cheers, Adam

Engineered and legal for all things that can be engineered and legal, beadlocks technically cannot be as far as I know, so it’s for offroad use only. I daily on different tyres.

What transfer case is he running to get the right hand side output?
Transfer is out of a kzn165 hilux! Factory right hand drop, and fits on the 1KD gearbox :)
