With all that is happening in our world,, when I am concerned for our lids & grandkids, I think of these words from the song: "How sweet to hold a newborn baby and feel the pride & joy he brings. But greater still, the calm assurance, my child can face uncertain days because Christ lives..." God reminded me one day recently, through the words of this song, to remember that because He is alive & in charge & He holds our kids & grandkids, all those we love & pray for, saved & not yet saved, are all safe in His kind hand. He died for us & rose again. He is our deliverer, our redeemer, our loving Father, our kind Lord. He lives, so we can face tomorrow. We are not alone in all that is happening. He is with us & He will be there for our kids, our grandkids & those we love & pray for. 💕
I am a quilter Mark; I liken our 'understanding' to a quilt. When you look at the quilt top you see it all pretty and neat. But if you look at the back, you see all of the messy threads. We cannot see the 'back' of God's work in our world and lives. But one day we'll be with him in the 'neatness' of heaven. Glory!!!

Amen. You know we think of the ones God has chosen to take, like my husband, and there are times that I feel they are the lucky ones, and then there are times that I wish God left him here. I believe the times of this earth are coming to a quick end. But, you know I really wanted and believed my husband would have been able to experience the rapture and then I think again he is the lucky one, because he doesn't have to wait and wonder how much longer, I go back and fourth almost daily. I know my husband is with Jesus and forever better. Hope you don't think I am high on peanut butter for my back and fourth on my husband, but sometimes I exhaust myself. Truthfully, I wish he was still here and it hurts to know my children and grandchildren do not have their father and papa Dodger around, he was the bible answer man, and funny. Mark I could really use prayer for my son Aaron his wife Ashleigh to stop hating me. They are going to church but they are making life at home horrible and they won’t let my 2 grandkids have anything to do with me, they are only 9 and 10 and all 4 of them live with me and my husband. I have been facing unprecedented questions and challenges to my faith that I have never faced in 64 years of believing. I don't know how long I can continue "hanging in there." I am at the end of the proverbial rope. I don't think anyone can offer mere words that would help me at this point. I am compassed by a darkness I have never known before. And I am alone in this. I have never been so alone in my life. There is none to help me. I have prayed and God has refused to answer and to help me. This has been my state for many years now, and I don't know how much longer I can "hang in there." Every day I pray God will take me home.

I believe because of God's mercy and love he is long-suffering and wants to give people a chance to repent and get right with God. You were talking about Hell, Mark; a place that DOES exist. God said he didn't make that place for us....but for Satan and the angels that rebelled with him in Heaven. I am sure they wished they didn't listen to Satan and let him be the lone wolf standing.

But, you know I really wanted and believed my husband would have been able to experience the rapture and then I think again he is the lucky one, because he doesn't have to wait and wonder how much longer, I go back and fourth almost daily. I know my husband is with Jesus and forever better. Hope you don't think I am high on peanut butter for my back and fourth on my husband, but sometimes I exhaust myself. Truthfully, I wish he was still here and it hurts to know my children and grandchildren do not have their father and papa Dodger around, he was the bible answer man, and funny. Mark I could really use prayer for my son Aaron his wife Ashleigh to stop hating me. They are going to church but they are making life at home horrible and they won’t let my 2 grandkids have anything to do with me, they are only 9 and 10 and all 4 of them live with me and my husband. @@kerrylorey5606 Yeah, that trust thing is what I'm having problems with. If one stops believing, it is not a matter of works. It is a matter of faith. That is what I fear. I have been facing unprecedented questions and challenges to my faith that I have never faced in 64 years of believing. I don't know how long I can continue "hanging in there." I am at the end of the proverbial rope. I don't think anyone can offer mere words that would help me at this point. I am compassed by a darkness I have never known before. And I am alone in this. I have never been so alone in my life. There is none to help me. I have prayed and God has refused to answer and to help me. This has been my state for many years now, and I don't know how much longer I can "hang in there." Every day I pray God will take me home.

Rev says we overcome satan by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. Can you share your salvation testimony with me? I’d love to hear it! I am praying for you and we know the Word of God is sharper than a 2 edged sword..it divides soul and spirit and judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart and also brings power and healing. Start reading the Bible every day and ask God to speak to you and calm your fears and heal your discouragement. I believe because of God's mercy and love he is long-suffering and wants to give people a chance to repent and get right with God. You were talking about Hell, Mark; a place that DOES exist. God said he didn't make that place for us....but for Satan and the angels that rebelled with him in Heaven. I am sure they wished they didn't listen to Satan and let him be the lone wolf standing.
This is the verse that so often comes to mind for me during these times.
