Jump rope is some of the best cardio out there. You get the equivalent of running miles without the impact and strain on your legs and knees, its also really good for your core.

Wait I understand it's not the same as running but you're still jumping up and down. Wouldn't that be taxing on the knees?
@@lavapop1900 haven't done any research, but I think the little hops you're doing are way less damaging than running. I think it might take most of the strain off the knees because you're jumping with pretty much just your calves, without shifting your knees like you would when doing even a slight jog.
@@lavapop1900 it's not like you're jumping thru the roof when you jump rope, so yes, it is WAY less taxing.
Running is fine on the knees for some I did 21km a day I just got tired and id to stop.

Im not overweight but have a small belly Im trying to get rid of. I run and stay very active but its the only thing Im not happy with and I have to get rid of it

I would suggest if you like running, keep running, but if it’s to lose fat, I would switch to walking, after each meal, keep yourself in a calorie deficit and focus on bodybuilding. You want to maximize your recovery and running can make you a good runner, but not great for fat loss alone. Just some things I’ve learned along the way. Cardio only makes up 5 percent of your daily calorie expenditure so you don’t get much from it. Again if you love it for the endorphins than go for it. But I have walked my way to single digit body fat by following the experts in the field who deal with natural bodybuilders. When natural, recovery is so important. And try to get 7-8 hours sleep. It will help make sure the weight you lose is fat and not lean mass. Good luck!!

You can also fast throughout the day 20-4 or 18-6. And workout on empty stomach. Both will teach your body to pull energy from the stored fat as opposed to working off the sugars(carbs) in the bloodstream. Will lean you out… more veins popping 😮

Abs are built in the gym, but revealed in the kitchen. Six pack = low body fat + hypertrophy of abdominal muscles. You need both, not one of the two. You need to train your abs hard in every training session and 'cut' at the same time. Proper nutrition + smart training + supplements (if you've got the extra money) will get you there. Fix your diet first: cut out all junk / processed foods and start eating whole, nutrient-dense foods that support metabolic / gut health. Use progressive overload and focus on multi-joint exercises (i.e. sit-ups, leg raises, crunches, etc). They are the best for building the abs. If you are a lifter seriously interested in aesthetics / performance / strength, go study Old-School bodybuilding. Old-School bodybuilders were ingenious physique architects. They had a profound knowledge of the principles of proper nutrition, smart supplementation, exercise science and muscle adaptability. If you combine Old-School bodybuilding wisdom with modern, evidence-based science, it's the best, safest, most effective way in achieving a strong, sexy, healthy and aesthetic physique. Vintage Physique by George Kelly is a nice read on the topic.

the most calories you're going to burn in the shortest amount of time is just eating less and not needing to burn more. A good jump rope session burns 100 or 200 calories. You can cut out like 500 calories a day with portion control and smarter choices.

I was mixed lemon slices into my flask with pink salt, but the acidity in the lemon gave me heartburn and sensitive teeth, so I use cucumber slices and pink salt now.

Started jump roping a couple of years ago and it’s the best cardio and fun as hell too. Helped me get super lean and get my abs back. Then I developed plantar fasciitis in my feet. Haven’t jump rope since. Sucks man 😔😢

The mechanisms to achieving and maintaining a six pack are the same no matter age. It might get more difficult with age, but at the end of the day, it's about training your abs for hypertrophy and maintaining a low body fat (primarily the latter)

Fasting works a lot better than doing cardio and raises your testosterone levels when you refeed
That and weightlifting. I get in the best shape when I simply lift weights 2x a week (one upper body, one lower body) and then do intense cardio one day

My body took a beating so I switched to exactly what you do but another day of boxing as a workout. I have seen so much results doing this, our body’s don’t need 6 days of lifting I wish more ppl do what we do

Fasting only works better if it aids in a creating a greater calorie deficit/ diet adherence. The testosterone comment is unfounded with greater evidence showing that fasting actually decreases your test levels.
