Since you opened a lot of EXFO you probably have some Wattkinetic Puppeteers lying around and i can heavily recommend putting them into your side Deck since the card has actually a lot of potential (especially if you have nothing better). Puppeteer is a handtrap that lets you move a monster your opponent control to another mmz which is really good in some matchups. Against striker you can move their monster into the mmz, turning all their backrow off and against guardragon decks you can move elpy on activation to the far left mms so that it doesnt ever point to anything. All in all a great side deck option (even won a Regional).

This is really a insightful series! It really shows how much effort and luck it takes to build a deck from just sealed products! Imagine if he wasnt able to get extremely lucky with some cards (like pulling the electrumite or some lucky pulls from some packs). Just think about how much adjustments he would have to make. Would he spend another week buying the exact same set? What if he had to spend 3 weeks on the same set to try to get some staple cards he needs? Etc

Thanks for putting the deck list in :) picking up the Legendary Dragon Decks would be a very big leap in the right direction, especially in terms of the extra deck. Since you'll not only get a Vortex, but you'll get a Supreme King Clear Wing which will help you take down boards and a Supreme King Dark Rebellion to help you push in that massive damage.

I’m honestly thinking of getting into actual real life yugioh and find a locals near me rather than just stick to dueling book. Not 100% sure if I can commit to spending and I’m kinda scared of joining since I’m older and people will probably not be nice to me for being new. I just really like yugioh thanks to you :)
Love this series. I do feel like you should be able to trade off the good cards you pull and get the cards you need. Part of buying seal product is that you have trade fooder to get the cards you want. I think it’s fair and would be a way to kinda show off fellow yugioh players/subscribers and show off trades. Anyway just a thought.
Since you dont have the guardragons yet jackal divine and endymion are your main negates so you should prob play the 3rd jackal so you can put it up more consistently
So for the sequel to the series can you do the opposite? Only buy online/trade but still trying to spend the least money possible. I think that would be worth a watch too
I think a good idea would be that every 5 or so episodes you can get a single card that you need without getting it from a pack (maybe $1-5 or less) just so you don't have to keep opening the same set over and over again which I think could make the series more interesting instead of watching the chase for vortex for multiple episodes

wait you’re running wisdom eye AND pendulumcall? if you pend call you can’t wisdom eye and if you wisdom eye you can’t pend call. why would you run wisdom eye instead of the black gang or oafsragon to set scales and cycle harmonizing?
You can discard wisdom eye with pendulum call and search the card you wanted to place in the pendulum scale with wisdom eye. Also if pendulum call gets ashed you can play still wisdom eye.
Really enjoyed the video have you thought about opening multiple of the 2016 tins preferably yugi cuz of the price lol and have you also thought about using a small d/d engine with 3 kepler, 1 copernicus, 1 lamia, and a Siegfried just to give the deck a better normal summon
I took this challenge between the years of 1999-2012 lolz that’s when I learned its better to just buy the cards straight out. I also learned that trading went to hell around 2012 and the only reasonable way to get cards you need is to buy them straight out.
It might be worth your time to open two of the yugi tins one week to chase some of the cards in here like kaijus, twin twisters, odd eyes fusion, and solemn strike is also in this which would be a crazy pull.
