@@phantom5869 they are also good, but Genesis is lead guitar (Steve is the original), keyboards (you would never know Tony Banks is not playing here) and drums (this drummer is pretty darn good). Add in the bass and clarinet player and this is pretty near perfect to the original. The lead vocalist is good on the lower registrar. The falsetto, not so much.

I’m 70 and have loved early Genesis from the 70s. Listening to Steve Hackett play is such a joy. I have also a huge collection of classical music and no one ever questions modern reinterpretations of the classics. Great music deserves to be played by great musicians forever. I was grown up with Genesis of that time,1972 and on,and with Steve bringing them back in life in a new unit of time looks like this music it’s ageless and the magic in it carry on in time without end. I get tears on my eyes every time I listen to this music.....simply amazing.

Without a doubt the greatest bands in history are Yes, Genesis, ELP, Pink Floyd and King Crimson. They had the innate talent to rock hard but also to play soft and subdued while combining beautiful melodies. Today's prog rock bands can rock hard, however the lack the talent for songwriting and for creating beautiful and unforgettable melodies.

I like the fact that despite all the aggro between Steve and Tony, Steve still goes out and plays what is basically Tony's song but I guess if you're going out and playing the old stuff you can't really do it without coming across several of Tony's tunes.
