Someone needs to step in with him too. He's young enough to be helped off of this "I am god" type of pedestal he's put himself on. A LOT of young guys (and girls tbh) are like this as teens and through their early 20s. Most people grow out of it but some don't.
@@MRGOMEDADOME Welcome to teenagers and abuse. So many kids think this is a desirable dynamic to have. It's a "He's just trying to protect her," type of mentality. Most kids outgrow it.
I remember hearing a good quote for this situation. "You raise your kids so you can spoil your grandkids, but if you spoil your kids you will raise your grandkids."
The doctors at the hospital told him he had a "limited understanding of what was going on" and shut him down when she wanted an epidural. God bless someone for standing up to him.
@@spiwolf6998 one of the main ones is his ego. The other is when they asked about the Pediatrician she said "for myself" well....how old is she again? If under 18 I think her parents can step in.
I think health classes should make it mandatory for guys to have to experience period and labor pains with those muscle contracting machines. Dudes are dummies.
This dude is abusive. He may not be hitting her but he's cutting people out her life, demeaning her and then making her suffer so he can control her. She deserves better.
What is scary is he will use his approval as a way to keep her in line with what he wants. I don't want this to happen but I can see him making her choose between their child and him. Sadly I think she's so brainwashed that her child will always come second to this sentient can of ax body spray.
Her dad was dying and he wouldn't let her see them. He was escorted from the hospital after belittling her, ignoring her and verbally abusing her. He was arrested that night for outstanding warrants. Since this episode he was arrested in April and has a possible of 11 charges. Jason is ABSOLUTELY abusive to her!!! I don't understand how TLC can be ok with his behavior towards her. The full episode is disgusting.
For anyone wanting to know the full context of the birthing situation. They went to the midwives place and Kylen was in a lot of pain. While there, he ate in front of her, vaped and called her 'weak' multiple times. When the midwives came in and told Kylen that she needed fluids (like IV sedation with Vitamins) Jason straight up told them no. He also refused to allow the staff to see how dilated she was. When they finally took her vitals (after like 24 hours) they found she was in Maternal distress and urged them to get an ambulance. He refused and they walked out for him only to tell her she had not been in labor and call her a P*****. Once at the Hospital, Kylen's nurses stood up for her and talked her into getting an epidural. Jason was them flicking off the nurses and curing both them and Kylen out and he was basically thrown out of the hospital for acting a fool. This poor girl has been manipulated and controlled by this man's muppet looking ass since day one to the extent where he was OK with her having a traumatic birth.
I’m so glad that the nursing staff at the hospital ignored the hell out of Jason and wouldn’t let him control her decisions. It’s unfortunate that the staff at the birthing center they wouldn’t stand up for Kylen as much as the hospital staff did. I feel like Kylen only stood up to him when she felt supported and probably protected by the staff.
All medical staff are trained to recognise abuse and to give the power to the victim. An adult person of sound mind makes decisions for their body. It’s fundamental.
Jason is actually abusive to Kylen and it’s so hard to watch. He has isolated her from her family, is jealous of the attention she gets from his parents for being pregnant, and has tried to control the pregnancy and birthing process since the beginning while dismissing her feelings and concerns. I think Kylen’s dad said it exactly right when he said “the birth plan is set up for his needs and not hers”. And it’s kinda creepy that he’s so worried about their son being circumcised for the “look”. Someone needs to step up here, whether it be either set of parents or TLC themselves. It’s not ok.
Agreed. Its unbelievable that TLC just sits back and films thinking, "Ooo such good TV". NO get this girl some help and put this idiot in his place before he becomes an even worst adult.
TLC literally stands by while addicts are doing drugs. They've filmed many many abusive relationships and their reaction is to milk that drama for views. He parents need to make themselves available to her. Hopefully she will escape with her baby soon. His parents should be telling her to run.
His dad in clips I've seen has told him off for trying control the birthing plan and is very concerned about her due to everything that could go wrong. He stopped the home birth for that reason other than it being costly
They missed a whole section where she was laboring for 12 hours, he wouldn’t let her get a cervical check and he wouldn’t let her get IV fluids or medicine. He’s so abusive it’s so infuriating
I don't watch the episodes, but wouldn't the midwife (or whoever it is for birthing centers that are qualified to deliver the baby) like.. step in and override that for her safety? I would think cervical checks and fluids are absolutely necessary.
Jason also refused to let the midwives check to see how dilated she was and also got upset that kylen couldn't just push the baby out to get it done with. The midwives were saying that it's dangerous to start pushing if you aren't dilated enough because it can cause maternal exhaustion. They told Jason they need to go to the hospital because kylen had been experiencing 20 hrs of labor without any medical intervention because he wouldn't let kylen have any pain meds.
for anyone wondering kylen does end up getting an epidural and giving birth at the hospital. jason calls her a drug addict and keeps saying shes high from IV fluids. thank god hospital staff protected her and kicked him out but he'll probably hold this over her head for the rest of her life. kid gets a cold? epidural. falls and gets a bloody nose? definitely because she had the epidural.
With any luck, he won't be able to hold anything over her head when she gets full custody of the child and LEAVES, my god man, this is disgusting and sad.
@@ronniesuchiato they're still together 😔 And she said that "TLC made him look like a prick" this poor girl is definitely stuck in a abusive relationship and won't acknowledge it
During my 3rd labour I turned to my husband and said "I think I'm dying, I can't do this anymore" that is how much it hurts. This poor girl, my 1st time was scary and I was 25 with a supportive husband, can't imagine how frightened she must be with this joke as her only support 😢
well good news, he was booted from the hospital for calling her a drug addict because she wanted an epidural and then he was arrested. He also accused the birth center of trying to give her drugs and refused basic IV fluids and any very minor intervention they offered her which resulted in them being unable to keep her stable and demanding he take her to hospital for her safety which he refused to do for a while and threatened to take her home as the hospital "doesn't care about him'. This dude does not give two Fs about the woman birthing his child.
@@PrincessJayJay17 wow. This guy needs a attitude adjustment and a major wake up call. He's going to end up hurting a future partner. Thr girl needs to get her and their son away from this guy!!
It is wild to me that they have televised this child’s emotional abuse from her partner through a traumatic time in her life. I hope she leaves him and this follows him forever.
I am pretty sure most couples that young dont last. Given how immature he is I'd be very surprise of their relationship actually continues for a long time.
He’s the kind of guy you have to worry about shaking the baby. Soon as that baby won’t stop crying he’s gonna loose it. I hope she leaves him before things get bad.
I feel incredibly bad for Kylens parents, I watched the whole season and he has 100% kept her from her parents, they were (according to mom) incredibly close until she started dating him, now they hardly talk, they always try to see her and when asked certain questions Kylen gets visibly nervous and asks to move on (ex: asked if her mom would be able to come to her birth, and other questions like such), her dad is dying he has lung issues from smoking and i believe pancreatic cancer, but when asked how long he said “they said 6months 5 years ago” or something along those lines and then said “so basically any day now” and all he wants is to be able to make memories with his grandson before he’s gone. it’s very sad, Jason’s parents don’t even like their own son really, his dad is very open about how Jason isn’t a super compassionate, reasonable, or likeable person. the whole situation is really sad honestly.
My grandpa got diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer (this form of cancer is really hard to detect unless it’s in the late stages). He was dead in a month and a half. Keep in mind that although he was old he was a total health nut who exercised every day. If her father is a smoker then her father is literally going to drop dead at any moment, and this emotionally abusive amoeba of a boy is going to give her a lifetime of guilt. Honestly, this is a unforgivable offense and while I pray her father doesn’t die without her saying goodbye. If he does then I at least hope it gives her the wake up call to leave this cold sore of a teenage boy, and come back home to the family that loves her. *btw this is not to blame Kylene in any way. She is surviving emotional abuse, and is just doing the best she can for herself and her baby in a shitty situation.
I was 20 when I had my first, I still wanted my mommy. I feel so bad for her and I don't understand how his parents blatantly see he's keeping her from her parents and don't intervene?
as someone who had an epidural - i had zero issue with recovery in that sense. I was able to feel my body within like 20 minutes of the epidural being removed
I think Mary was mostly referring to long term recovery, not just when you can feel and move again. I know girls who still have back problems and pain and theirs kids are 6/7 years old now.
There’s so much that happened between the hospital clip and the parents clip. At the birth center, they were trying to have a water birth and Jason was sitting back with a burger and fries while Kylen was in pain, and he was VAPING IN THE ROOM. Kylen was in labor for 24 hours, no food and no sleep, and the whole time the nurses were trying to help and offered her some IV fluids to help with maternal exhaustion-which Jason rejected because he believes there’s drugs… in IV fluid… but he offered Kylen a french fry because that would’ve been so much better. Fast forward a bit to where they’re in the room with the bed. Jason was refusing to have the midwives check to see how dilated Kylen was, and he continually rejected any sort of help that the midwives were offering to make Kylen more comfortable. They checked Kylen’s vitals and her blood pressure was through the goddamn roof, which is when they suggested calling an ambulance.
@@Kekira exactly. Dude doesn’t even realize both her and the baby are at risk if her blood pressure is that high. He just has to control everything and make her suffer because of how self righteous he is

How could everyone just listen to this guy and let him have his way and do whatever the hell he wants to with Kylen and the baby?? Who the hell is he to order people around like that? the doctors and midwives included, not just their parents it just blows my mind how there could be so many people witnessing all of his bullshit and him puting Kylen and the baby's lives in danger and no one steps in to put him in his place and to take control of the whole thing away from him. I don't watch the show so that's why I'm asking... I believe he's still a literal child and I don't understand how all the adults around let him take all these important decisions since he clearly has no ideea about how anything works.
I am almost 8 months pregnant and I just wanted to cry through this video. I could not imagine being treated and talked to this way by your partner and other parent of your child. My husband and I have certainly fought and been upset/frustrated with each other through this pregnancy, but our world stops if we think anything happened to our baby boy. I am a high risk pregnancy and we are terrified of me possibly developing pre-eclampsia. (Thankfully my blood pressure has been about as good as it can be at each appointment). That’s so dangerous because “men” like this douche only care about themselves. They’re out there and there’s far more than you think. My heart breaks for the women trapped in abusive relationships.
No doctor should ever “need” the permission of a man to do a surgery regarding a woman. Doesn’t matter if the husband is abusive or not, a woman’s body doesn’t belong to a man.

Jason is easily the worst father I've seen on this show, and that's an incredibly high bar to cross on Unexpected. Kylen's dad is months away from dying and Jason won't let her spend any time with him or be part of the birth in any way (not even let him sit in the waiting room). as a female, I can say that it doesn't personally matter if a person is uncircumcised or not, just as long as they keep it clean down there... also I agree, I've never looked at a ween and thought "woww incredible"
We circumcised our son as a baby because he had megameatus. Basically, his urethra wasn’t at the tip, so he wasn’t a “straight shooter” and would have difficulty having children later in life. In order to fix it, they used the surrounding skin from his circumcision to move the urethra to the tip. Surgery could have been done anytime from 3 months to 5 years or to as an adult, but we decided it would be better to do it when he wouldn’t remember it.
It gets even worse when they go to the hospital. He doesn't let her get the proper care she needs and has to be escorted out of the room because he puts so much stress and dominates over her own Healthcare that he's has no idea about. Thinking she'll be a drug addict excuse she gets an IV and an epidural 🙃😑

I’ve had 1 kid so far. Planned to do it without an epidural. Had the epidural. My husband: “I’m not the one giving birth. So I don’t feel like I should have a say in THAT part of it. I’m just here to support you & to meet our baby. Take as many meds as you need. I just want YOU and OUR BABY safe and happy.”
That’s exactly what my husband told me. He said you are the one in labor and feeling the pain. If you want pain meds get the pain meds. He’s seriously the best husband and father to our little girl.
My boyfriend when I got pregnant and found out it was an egg topic pregnancy and that all of my pregnancies would be. he was so sad but at the same time all he cared about the day I had to have the abortion was that I was safe, that I felt ok. 3:15 Hi! OB/GYN here! Another reason hospitals recommend getting baby boys circumcised is due to risk of infection. Unfortunately because most younger boys don’t wash properly, uncircumcised boys can get a very painful bacterial infection. That sounds terrifying, so they basically did surgery on you without anything to help the pain andddd you were awake, I’m pretty sure you can sue them for that especially if it caused even the smallest amount of ptsd.
Thank GOODNESS YOU GUYS ARE DOING THIS ONE. Ive been ripping my hair out watching him on Unexpected and need to know the opinions of 2 great fathers. His utter lack of care for her safety or comfort is appalling. If he’s willing to say the stuff he says to her on camera, it’s likely he says much worse things (if not physically abusing her) when the cameras aren’t there. Also, he’s isolating her from her family which is a common tactic used by abusers. I really hope she gets out of this situation.

I was too late for an epidural unfortunately and although I consider myself to have a high pain tolerance I was inconsolable. It felt like someone was stabbing me in my ovaries and I couldn’t stop screaming. But yeah, painless.
I didn’t have any pain relievers with my first, I puked from the pain and I’ve never heard anything so primal as the screams I emitted. Men who think this way or that getting hit in the balls is comparable, are not worth anyone’s time.
Stabbing in the ovaries? I felt like my butt hole was being pulled back and over my head! I was in so much pain I had the shakes and couldn't talk😂 Worth it! 😁
@@girl.anachronism5639 I definitely wouldn't say painless but, considering I did it without painkillers of any kind twice and didn't faint either time while my husband fainted from kidney stones, there are probably worse pains. Or, pain tolerances (or lack thereof), make it so that some pains can feel worse than the so called "worse pain anyone can ever feel". On my first, I had to have the placenta scraped out and, even though I took morphine for that, it was way worse than the labor itself. It might also be good to mention that knowing exactly what to expect plays a part in how you feel about your labor. I went to pre-natal classes at the midwife center where I chose to give birth and felt like neither of my births had any surprises. They taught us about how to "lean into" the pain to make it tolerable. And about natural painkillers our body produces during labor. And about the aforementioned primal screams. They even mentioned the somewhat rare placenta-scraping I had to eventually endure. All that information really helps when you go through something like that.

If you think he is a Douche at this point wait until you see the footage from the hospital where he calls her a drug addict for taking the epidural after “he told “ her that wasn’t the birth plan. It gets real bad. It is the first time that I have genuinely hated a TLC character.
His behaviour shows so many parallels to those of domestic abusers. The first thing abusers tend to do is try and distance their victims from their support circle (in this case, her parents) so that they rely solely on the abuser.
Jason seems like the kind of person that went to a birthday party as a kid and got upset because he didn’t get any presents or didn’t get sung happy birthday too 🤦🏻♀️
I'm with Dane - TASE HIM! Seriously though, I'm worried for this poor girl. Jason could be putting the lives of his girlfriend and baby at risk with his ignorance and stubbornness. Midwives can handle basic, straight-forward childbirth and they're very good at it. What they can't handle is medical emergencies during labour/childbirth - if they tell you to go to the hospital, you go to the hospital. Ken, I agree with you about circumcisions. I researched it when I found out I was having a boy and it really is just purely cosmetic. When I was in college, one of my professors (who was also a nurse) told the class in detail how circumcisions are performed with newborns and it was horrific. The babies don't even get any kind of pain relief and they're awake for the procedure. I couldn't even imagine doing that to my child. A lot of fathers do choose the procedure simply because it's what they know and/or because of misinformation regarding cleanliness/infection.
There is also medical condition called Phimosis where the foreskin is too small to pull back and this can cause issues. This is fairly common if I'm not mistaken. I believe this can occur in all ages, tho not really sure which age is more common.
Yes the more research that is done on circumcision and nerve endings the more horrific the practice becomes. But the general public does not look at research.
They have a device that sends small electrical pulses/shocks to make you ab muscles tense and it's supposed to simulate things like period and labor pain(depending on how high you turn it up). Some one should dare him to test out his theory

Someone should’ve kicked him in the nuts every time she had a contraction. Not even that it would properly compare, but it might’ve made him want to give her an epidural 😂
I hope you guys keep going with this cause he gets SO much worse. But coming from personal experience of someone that’s had a partner that’s been mentally abusive. They will cut out anyone in your life that tells you the truth about that person’s behavior. They want to isolate you from anyone that they think will even give you a hint of wanting to leave. And family is definitely usually up there on the list. I can definitely see him isolating her and he definitely is already very manipulative of her and what/who she interacts with. Sad. Hope she gets out for her and the baby.

She even took me in as her own daughter when I didn’t have anyone and even though I’m not with her son anymore we are still close. Very kind beautiful woman. This guy has no clue he is slowly pushing her away by his controlling manipulative behaviour. No you need to bond with the baby. He doesn’t get it, anything could happen when having a baby. Clueless
I dated a guy who was uncircumcised and he was nervous to even tell me when we first started seeing each other. He said people always made jokes about how ugly uncircumcised weens are and how he internalized it. There’s a stigma around it and it doesn’t need to be like that
I don’t know how he thinks he can make all the decisions for her pain when he isn’t the one pushing him out! It just shows how abusive he is and how much of a narcissist he is.
I actually just watched the last episode of this and he actually got kicked out of the hospital because he was just being a POS towards her. He freaked out when they started an IV saying they're putting drugs in her 🤦♀️. He started called her a drug accident/ crack head when she said she's getting the epidural, it was horrible. Major major props to the nursing staff that sticked up for her and thought it'd be best for him to leave. The real heartbreaking thing is she didn't want him to leave and shows signs she'd stick with him with all the abuse he inflicts on her. And I guess they are still together to this day 😔
Actually as someone who is currently researching HIV, circumcision does decrease your risk of both obtaining and infecting someone with HIV. It tends to stay longer in the extra folds but if you use proper sanitation techniques you should be fine
That's actually a good point, and not something that's covered in a lot of the "pros and cons" literature out there. I wonder if the same is true for other STIs 🤔
Nah they won’t disown him. They know he acts like this and all they say is “Jason does things his way”. Also I don’t understand why Kylen’s parents don’t press kidnapping charges on Jason and/or the parents. If she is a child herself they can get her back by getting the police involved, right? All of these parents are failing that poor girl
In the eyes of the law she is an adult. “She can make her own decisions.” I was in a very similar situation at her age for about 3 years and my parents tried getting the police involved but they wouldn’t. His parents knew what was going on and did nothing.
I'm astounded that anyone has ever had the thought "yeah childbirth doesn't hurt". That's the first time I've ever heard that take... clearly an uneducated individual and I'm not sure to be more angry at the ignoramus or the education system for failing him SO hard.
Unfortunately, he’s not the first guy I’ve heard say something stupid like that. A lot of misogynists believe women lie about the pain. It’s so horrible.
@@Kasey_Taylor Gosh yeah. You would think that if someone who generally deals with pain every month they would know a thing or two about their body and take their word on it if they're in pain... the most unfortunate part is if said misogynist is in healthcare
to be fair I don't think it's the education system; this guy is just a complete idiot. They could have a whole semester course on childbirth, but he wouldn't remember any of it because it's not about him
"It's not about you dude, it's about her okay, she's the one having the baby" .. .. I just want to scream this over and over and over due to current events. We don't need to encourage these idiots
That guy is such a classic case of narcissism. The isolation, the fight for control-- the real reason he wants the circumcision is because it will be a permanent irreversible expression of his authority over the poor kid. Likewise, he frames the situation as his experience only accepting it into the context of "ours" and attempts to limit it as much as possible in order to maintain a higher level of control. He gets to be 50% of the credit, spin the story of the event his way, and hold it over the family members who wouldn't have been there to assert dominance. The fact he couldn't empathize with the fake baby is absolutely telling. I had one of those in high school, and one day in, the stress was too much for me-- if it cried too long I felt awful for failing it. I realized I definitely wouldn't be ready for that responsibility. He'll take the credit but not the responsibility. His insistence on things being done his way, effecting that poor woman's body directly is another assertion of control and removal of autonomy and its absolutely sickening.
I actually watched the full episode where she’s in labor this weekend and was incredibly angry the entire time. He is absolutely the worst and did not care about her health, physical or mental, AT ALL
Circumcisions are beneficial because it gets rid of the flap which makes it easier to clean that area and less chance to have an infection. Also a decreased risk of penile cancer.
My mom had me no epidural and claims it didn’t hurt but my dad was in the room with her and says she was in pain. The hormones released after pregnancy are crazy!
Our brains purposely make us forget the pain endured during childbirth. It's so painful were not allowed to remember 😂 kinda scary when you think about it
Yes they cause pain relief and euphoria! So kost mothers feel that special moment and it outweighs the bad, most if the time but that doesnt mean getting medical intervention is bad. Its great so long as they dont shove a bunch of crap into the babies system.
@@maresdreams8731 even moms who get an epidural are in pain; my mom doesn’t remember it, but my dad told me about how she was basically screaming in pain for a day having me. The brain is literally so powerful it makes women forget ripping apart their reproductive organs so they do it again 😭
I hope she moves back into her parents and dump him so fast. He is controlling, unempathetic, ignorant and narcissistic. That's a recipe for something horrible to happen, more than a ticking time bomb. It's almost a gaurentee especially since his parents want nothing to do with the situation and him as well. Worse case both her and the baby may lose their lives due to his dangerous behavior. Best case domestic violence, which by the way he controls her I wouldn't be surprised if she is going through that currently.

"my parents didn't have their parents in the room" Well... yeah they probably weren't under age when they had you! That girl is probably still on their insurance! Children's hospital accepts patients until the age of 21!
Yep. 19 hours of labor followed by an emergency C-section was totally painless 🙄. Wew lad, that walking YIKES! pencil needs to sit down and shut ALL the way up.
I had my son circumcised simply because of the "social" expectations we have in the usa. I didn't want him to feel different growing up. Unfortunately he did end up having difficulties afterwards so I really regret ever doing it. Things are better now and hopefully my son is confident in his skin.
From what I remember, they say that a circumsition helps reduce the risk of UTI's, the transmission of HPV and HIV. The only other thing I remember is to help avoid phimosis. So there are supposedly health benefits, if it's not done for a cultural or religious reason.
I had mild Pre-eclampsia during the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy and I got sent to the hospital for it and we found that I was having contractions with no dilation, the baby was transverse breech, and it was medically necessary to get the baby out asap. Ended up choosing having a c section over regular induced delivery and the possibility of 1-4 days of active labor. But it was literally a check up that turned into me having the baby 5 hours later 👶🏼
Our son was circumcised for a few reasons. One, because my husband is, and the main one was to lower the risk of infection. He was born with an enlarged kidney due to a narrowed ureter on his bladder. So fluid wasn't draining properly and flushing back. Had he got a uti or something, it could have flushed back to his kidney and caused more issues. His circumcision helped a ton until he was old enough to have the surgery. And honestly, he barely cried at all! They did it down the hall from our room and he was actually pretty tame and didn't cry much after.
If my husband tried to tell me what to do while giving birth, I would've laughed at him and shooed him out of the room. Nobody controls your health or well-being besides you.
As a grown woman I can answer yes I like the look and feel of men's anatomy, cause that's what I'm attracted to. Circumcision doesn't matter and has proven medically unnecessary and quit painful alot of baby's pass out from the pain. I think its a cruel process. A child's first pain should be a skinned knee or falling while running, not genital mutilation.
Thank you, woman, for your take on male anatomy. While circumcision is not 100% necessary it isn't 100% unnecessary. There are plenty of reasons to do it that aren't religious or social. You and Ken both don't understand that infections can still happen even with cleaning. Risks are LOWERED. Whether or not it's a DRASTIC difference I couldn't tell you but I do have a buddy who wasn't and wound up having to be later on down the line due to complications. I think it should be a decision made later on down the line but to say it's unnecessary isn't truthful.
@@lupusmalum6103 circumcision necessary when it becomes necessary, whether that be when the baby is born or when an infection happens that needs to be treated with a circumcision. Other than that, it’s all up to opinion.
@@lupusmalum6103 You're welcome, man, for my statement. In healthy male babies it's deemed unnecessary, and my opinion on the cruelty of the practice still stands.
When I was a kid in hospital, a little boy on the ward had a LOT of infections and required a circumcision, it was treated as a regular SURGERY (as it should be!!) and he had difficulties healing afterwards. This is a PROCEDURE that should only be undertaken when medically necessary! His parents were very distressed that he was unwell and needed surgery, and during his recovery. I will never forget that. Why are babies treated so differently? Because they can't say no?
To be fair, his mom probably was in less pain giving birth to him than she is now having him as a child.

TLC just cares about the money more than the people and it’s really concerning about the lack of care of the people on any of their shows

He should not have that control! He is such an abusive jerk (keeping it pg)
He seriously wouldn't let her get a cervical check??!! That's so dangerous for the mom and son to skip during labor!!
Wow that’s criminal he did that.
yesss and on top of that, like things go down and you see how much of a hold he has on her and it's so sad to watch

There’s so much that happened between the hospital clip and the parents clip.
Jason was refusing to have the midwives check to see how dilated Kylen was, and he continually rejected any sort of help that the midwives were offering to make Kylen more comfortable. yeah that doesn't happen. At least these days. In the forties maybe. And with any drs who were alive back then still practicing today. Just go to a different dr if you find yourself in the room with old man river and his parkinsons anesthesiologist.

Jason is easily the worst father I've seen on this show, and that's an incredibly high bar to cross on Unexpected. Kylen's dad is months away from dying and Jason won't let her spend any time with him or be part of the birth in any way (not even let him sit in the waiting room). He is, at the very least, verbally and mentally abusive to Kylen and TLC is complicit for filming everything and not intervening. Just disgusting behavior.
Also he was arrested in February on charges of aggravated DUI, reckless op, and disobeying an officer. What an upstanding dude.
Thank God, if he is on jail that will at least keep him away from the poor girl and their baby.
Even if they intervened can't help someone who doesn't want it

But if that was true that would mean pornography was lying to us. Lol
well its cuz uve only ever just been introduced to me 😜
We circumcised our son as a baby because he had megameatus.
Yes; it is rarely medically neccesary. It does not need to be the standard, especially done without anesthetic or proper sanitation.
For actual medical necessity it's fine, most people do it for cosmetic reasons though, that's the people we're complaining about.
It gets even worse when they go to the hospital. He doesn't let her get the proper care she needs and has to be escorted out of the room because he puts so much stress and dominates over her own Healthcare that he's has no idea about. 3:15 Hi! OB/GYN here! Another reason hospitals recommend getting baby boys circumcised is due to risk of infection. Unfortunately because most younger boys don’t wash properly, uncircumcised boys can get a very painful bacterial infection. So to prevent this, most hospitals present the risk of having an uncircumcised baby, recommended getting him circumcised, but ultimately leave it up to the parents.
"TAZE HIM!! Oh wait, wrong show."
No no, I think we can all agree it's definitely the right show.

I then had a panic attack. It's a really scary thing to go through for some people.
That sounds terrifying, so they basically did surgery on you without anything to help the pain andddd you were awake, I’m pretty sure you can sue them for that especially if it caused even the smallest amount of ptsd.

He literally doesn't want to take her to the hospital because he doesn't think "she's ready" after 25 straight hours of labor. He also calls her a drug addict when she NEEDS the epidural because she physically can't push on her own. He also is eventually escorted out
He called her a drug addict? What kind of fantasy world does that kid live in?

My hat goes off to any woman who can handle it, but the bottom line is you get that baby out safely no matter what you want.
THANK YOU, KEN. Circumcision is such a farce unless it's actually medically necessary! I was too late for an epidural unfortunately and although I consider myself to have a high pain tolerance I was inconsolable. It felt like someone was stabbing me in my ovaries and I couldn’t stop screaming.
But yeah, painless.
Oh yea, every person to give birth is just dramatic and wants to relieve stress, so that's why they scream. Totally not because of pain. It's fine

It would be a shame if he had testicular torsion. Forever.
If the misinformed fathers got their arm cut of they also dont have to clean that arm. Logic!

@kasey Taylor I totally agree and TLC has all the footage the courts need to show he’s abusive

Our brains purposely make us forget the pain endured during childbirth. It's so painful were not allowed to remember 😂 kinda scary when you think about it

@Julia K it's infuriating to me that they film it and give this guy publicity. he's clearly only on the show for publicity. it's also infuriating to me that she is a MINOR and this random boyfriend is calling the medical shots. Where tf are the parents? That's who's call these decisions should be!
It's TLC. And if you want better, sadly, you'll have to go somewhere else lol, these guys are devious
Let's not sugar-coat this, he is an abuser. He won't let her see her parents for a month? In cases of Domestic Abuse the abusers will try to keep their victim away from their support circle (friends and Family)
Google the main signs of Domestic Abuse and all the pieces start to form into this Douche shaped puzzle.
I hope that her and the Baby are in a safe place.
"my parents didn't have their parents in the room" Well... yeah they probably weren't under age when they had you! That girl is probably still on their insurance! Children's hospital accepts patients until the age of 21!
You can be on your parents insurance until 26
@@rachmaninovwasemo2313 I think that’s if they are still in school as well.
The unlaced timberlands really brings things full circle with Jason.
"Who are you using as a pediatrician"
"Ummm for myself ??"
Too young for a child.
Ken, you're assuming he is responsible enough to teach the poor kid to shower. It may just prevent infection in this case...
I hope her having a kid with him doesn’t make her think shes stuck with him once she realizes how horrible he actually is 💔
as a father of two . I watched both my boys being born. and I can assure you childbirth is painful. I was in pain just watching my wife go through it
I know what you mean I felt the same way when my wife was in that pain.
Glad your boys arrived safe and healthy! Hope for the best future for y’all
From what I remember, they say that a circumsition helps reduce the risk of UTI's, the transmission of HPV and HIV.
So glad you guys are covering this. This guy is insane and he’s so young it’s scary.
Uh I've done it both ways... without an epidural is the most painful thing I've ever done in my life. Was scary af...
I almost started crying reading your comment. That is so sad.
