- Fellow Legends, welcome! Today we dive into a rather interesting video about a rather interesting guy. A guy of all time if you will. This was definitely an odd one and Kip gets a little spicy as we tread into martial arts philosophy territory. Buckle up because you're in for a good one. If you liked this video then I absolutely recommend you go and check out the original video to show some support for the source material!

Steven: im a gun master
Kip: *ABSOLUTE SEETHING*
Brandon Lee wasn't shot by a bullet, he was shot due to a small fragment of something left in the barrel of the gun, the blank still acted like an ignition to fire the fragment towards him
Squibs end lives confirmed
Yeah, a fragment of a bullet
@@sirkelendor5429 anything using explosives can risk your life yes
@@the98themperoroftheholybri33 i was joking lmao
@@ZeallustImmortal Well, technically a fragment of the lodged or broken casing...blanks don't have bullets...and it's so sad that the incident haunted the actor who fired the gun until the day he died...(The guy who played the character "Fun Boy")
EDIT: See below for a better description!
I’m not even sure they’re blanks, i think he’s just shaking a model gun and using after effects
Yeah I don't get why he was freaking out.
@@LethalByChoice To same degree i get it, he’s had training and he takes it really seriously which i can respect, however he tends to take it too seriously (as he stated in the video) and seemingly unable to tell if it’s legit or edited in.
However, I say we give them time, not everyone has an eye for it
@@LethalByChoice Basically it's the ol' "if you don't respect the tool, someone's gonna get hurt".
I think most of the time people consider this to be a pretty stupid mindset, except for a time after someone gets themselves hurt
@ghostshrimp5006 well it's not a real gun anyways Jon isn't stupid
Looks like he’s probably using a co2 airsoft pistol and exaggerating the recoil. I’m almost certain that degal was cycling.
15:28 I'd like to point out that Jon IS exercising proper trigger discipline here but the jury is out on whether he's flagging anyone or anything off camera.
18:39 Also here he's gripping the guns in a way that his fingers are nowhere near the trigger in this scene or the next. However this skit still has a very real pucker factor to it.
Kip would yell trigger discipline at someone tying their shoe. so would the ATF....Kip is an undercover ATF agent confirmed.
I always thought that he was using props for the "firearms" bit.
@@Baldwin-iv445 Could be using Airsoft guns, or he could be using actual guns.
@@kabob0077 Perhaps.
@@kabob0077he is using airsoft guns. Gas blow back airsoft guns
I do actually wish action movie stars did stuff they weren’t qualified for. Just their only qualification being their movies. Keanu Reeves as a CIA stealth operative. Stallone as an EMT. Michael B. Jordan as a optometrist.😂
The fact that it happened once makes me believe it'll happen more
If you look carefully, Segal does not appear to be shooting any gun that cops use on the field, but rather a precision-oriented weapon that is made to be accurate rather than apply force. I wonder how he'd do with a gun that actually has recoil...
Steven is the equivalent of those Redneck kids in school who always bragged about their guns and how well they did in the local rodeo, only to never achieve anything outside of their local community and anytime someone outside of their community whose better than him comes around, he hides until they're gone so he can talk about how "I would've beaten him if he wasn't hiding from me." afterwards.
That’s oddly specific, are you alright?
@@thevanillafeziantnah he has a point.
From what I recall he started out as a martial arts guy, working od security jobs bearly making enough, until one client liked how big and tough looking he was and as the client was a producer he got steven into Hollywood where his already pretty big ego got even bigger and led to what we see today.
I also recall hearing the producer client was bet that he couldn't make the most uncharismatic and untalented guy he knew famous, and decided Steven Seagall fit that criteria... but I've only heard this once, in a Fact Fiend video, but I trust their research for most things, so I believe it
First he was like 10 feet away from the pistol target and the gives the guy a "Dead fish" handshake. In all the videos of him showing his Martial Arts style you can see all the others are giving him their hands and are moving with him. He never met Bruce Lee, he would have been like 9 when Bruce Lee was in Hollywood. Honestly I wouldn't believe his real name is Steven Seagal that's how much he lies. He was at a party Jon Claude was at and he ran away when JC confronted him.
There's just so much to unpack with this man, it's wild.
@LazyMrShikamaru You're actually half right about his name. His last name isn't actually pronounced suh-gal, it's see-gul. Like the bird. Or the Jason. He changed how he pronounced it to sound tougher.
The despair in Kip's voice when Jon brings up Raid is genuine. I don't think anyone can fake that level of pain.
I could see keeanu reeves assisting police in training, seeing the amount of actual training he had to do for all the John wick movies.
I swear Steven Seagal was brainwashed into thinking he was an action hero badass because the backstory of how he got into film was that he was just some film producers gym coach or something.
I’ve been really enjoying the jontron videos! Your upload schedule is absurd you madlad. I swear you post like 2-3 bangers a day 😂
Thank you. I'm trying really hard to grow and hit the algorithm. I'm absolutely loving making these.
there is some credence to aikido the thing is because they also teach you how to fall to minimize damage to yourself for safety and in the unlikely case your opponent also knows aikido the end result is basically like every dubious self defense video out there, the technique is assumed to work so you at the receiving end try to do the thing that will land you safely instead of trying to win the fight by not getting thrown, not to say every technique doesn't work but there is sort of a fart eco chamber that fosters some techniques that aren't good or that do not work as advertised
What doesn’t help is that there are statements saying that Seagal was not the most gentle with his stuntmen
As someone who fought aikido practicioners before, let me tell you that there's zero credence to aikido
18:55 - ...what blanks? The only guns more plastic than that are super soakers.
The fact that Jon isn't even touching the triggers should be a clear sign that it's all happening in post.
The streamer lythero and his friends keep making jokes about how there's too many nordvpn ads with youtubers and streamers. But almost every single one of their videos has a raid shadow legends ad
Sponsor money helps pay the animators Lythero commissions, and they do not come cheap.
What's left is to help cushion when UA-cam demonetized / age restricts his videos
NordVPN & Raid: The only sponsors InternetHistorian made tolerable.
The Segal hole is quite something. even before moving to east europe, he had a bit of a shitty rep in hollywood. from actually hitting stuntmen and actors on set, to his lecherous nature (he had two wives at one point, one he married in japan and left her to run 'his dojo', whilst sleeping around and marrying another woman in the us, eventually he got rightfully MeToo'd he also supposedly had dealings with the Gambino mafia family (and was such an absolute cry baby about it that Fed Agents accompanying him had to get him 'security blankets'), and some ftc violations that made him yeet himself to east europe. he's quite an interesting headcase.
Don't forget that time he broke sean connery's wrist during a training session.
He also got a lifetime ban from Saturday Night Live after hosting an episode, because he was being a self-serious, miserable prima donna who presumably only did it so he could shill one of his movies (I believe it was Marked for Death, but I'm not 100% sure) and during production he kept treating the cast like shit and couldn't come up with a good skit to save his life.
Listening to Steven sing "Hoochie Coochie Man" does hurt me inside because it's one of my favorite songs to perform and sing XD Yes I can understand what he's saying but I've heard a ton more singing at 3am at a biker bar in North Texas
as someone from michigan.... figures its from fuckin michigan
31:03 no kip, the weapon is himself
26:59 im dying with this part because he had a literal coke nail in the Putin video 😂
18:55
they are not blanks
those guns probably cant even shoot
its post edditing my dude
If I had to guess, I would say they are gas-blowback airsoft guns that use co2 or a propane-like gas to mimic the operating action of a firearm. I would also guess that he’s dry firing them (shooting them without bbs).
Good observation with the aftereffects nonetheless. 👍
Steven is pretty cool guy... He fights teh aliens and doesn't afraid of nothing
"Doesn't afraid of nothing indeed..."

15:04 someone in chat "id take wrestling lessons from gina carano" you and me both buddy, you and me both
2k yards with a 1911? Max effective range for that, I belive, is around 50 meters, I know that's what it is for the M9, and the Security Forces guy that shot the Fairchild shooter in 94 hit two out of shots at 75 meters and that's considered an amazing shot.
Apparently Steven was actually scared of Micheal when they did the movie Exit Wounds, Steven actually avoided Micheal alot during that film.
Apparently the some of the crew asked/wanted Michael to cause serious injury to Steven at one point because they didn't need him any longer for the film.
Didn't an old judo master choke him out and made him shit his pants?
The chancla isnt that bad. Now el cinto is where the leather never miss anything your ass, thigh, back,or anything near because you moved. And now the last hit didnt count😢
Chancla is for moms, cinto is for dads.
“ *Jon please trigger discipline* “ that’s also part of him pretending to be Steven Seagal
As someone who is lefthanded I don't know if I should apologize but I'm going to because that was terrible I'm sorry about that handshake
Do you get nervous every time you see a toy gun with poorly done visual effects added?
Generally.
It's because living in idaho, I see people every time I go out to a store or range doing stupid things.
@@KipReacts Oh for sure, I'm in Northern Utah and spend a lot of time in Idaho, I'm not convinced the average Idaho citizen has an IQ above 75
@@KipReacts Just realized this may have come off wrong, I mean it makes sense that you see it a lot, I'm not saying you're low IQ too lol
Oh no, there's a lot of people I come across here that just don't think. I've seen this firsthand and went to public school here. I was one of only 2 in a 7th grade class that understood how the metric system worked with base 10s. It's an experience here.
Thank you for the clarification though!
Reporter: “Mr Seagal! You just got back from meeting Vladimir Putin. How do you feel about Russia’s annexation of Crimea?”
Steven: “Crimea? CryMeA river.” *dabs
I just want some clarification, but did Steven just ask "what caliber is this?" while also calling himself a "master shooter"? Am I the one who's crazy?
I love Kips reaction videos. They are so cool. His reactions are peak. I like his individual comments to certain scenes
17:30 I am a master baiter
18:22 That “Weapon” is a .22 caliber target shooting pistol.
Now im not one to knock .22, especially .22LR. It’s not a bad choice for self defense, and the bullets can sometimes ricochet in the body to do more damage.
But a target shooting pistol is optimized to reduce recoil and hit dead-on. Police service pistols aren’t
Also im pretty sure Jontron was using fake/toy guns. Not actually shooting blanks or anything.
Oh kip, you are in for a ride
Your avatar is adorable and precious
Thank you!
18:50 yeah he really has to work on firearm saftey! I mean look at how close his fingers are to the trigger of these fake guns!
I come back to this video every so often just for “Jon please!” and “Jon No!”
I don't even know if those a real guns in the JonTron vid.
Heres a fun series to react to; a movie reviewer did a summer of Steven segal were he reviewed about a dozen of segals movies back to back 1 summer
All the guns Jon is using are solid prop guns with no firing mechanism, and the shots are edited in, cause I don't think Jon is wild enough to do this with actual blank guns
16:25 Now, I'm no marksman, I've shot a few handguns and a rifle...but it sounded like Steven's first shot was from a .22...and the second time he is shown, the gun looks like a .22...and the cop is presumably shooting a 9mm...even though a 9mm doesn't have that much kick, a .22 has almost NO kick...so it's not even really a comparison...
The chancla is a weapon of mass destruction.
25:45 Don't feel bad, it's probably not even a real kitchen.
Jon did have tigger disciplin tho?
Also Steven he shook hands with his right hand not left
This is the most triggered I've ever seen you kip, it's like the quietly friend/uncle who finally snapped.
kinda want kip to see mista gg steven seagal movie reviews for the sheer gun seethery
A bit of wisdom I picked up you do not Grant yourself a title you make your own legend for your title to be made
17:28 Some people like to consider me a master baiter. Because of how good I am at baiting fish.
Lol Steven segal black belt, the thing is you can just tell people most people wouldn't question it if you told them something like that I feel like Steven literally just bought a black belt and decided you now what I am a master at this
I think he is a legitimate aikido black belt, the thing is that aikido is absolute shit
Less blanks and more After Effects lol
7:23 SUS
20:30 in italian it has an hard c sound.
I doubt anyone will get this but nothing tops ecky thump.
19:30 WTF lol? Are you trolling and I can't catch your sarcasm? They are just rubber prop guns and he edited the bang bang pew pew.
Also 14:40 A purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu is better at actually fighting and defending than a quadruple onix black belt deluxe in Aikido 🙃
Man I hate Steven Seagal
Dude. Relax. Jon's guns aren't even real, they're cap guns.
Hi Kip!....FIRST
Hi! Welcome!
I tried to think of a way to make this not sound rude, but I can't. So I'll just ask and say that I'm not _trying_ to be rude
You use "an" wrong a lot, like at the end where you said "an guy". Is that a meme or is that just how you talk?
Steven Seagal has credentials in close-quarters combat, for sure. Aikido is a genuine and well-known martial art that demands a degree of respect. BUT (and this is a big but) there are many that are more widely respected than the one he is a seventh-dan (seventh-degree) black belt in. For instance, Isshinryu is largely more popular as a... As we would call it... An 'interpersonal conflict resolution aid' (ass-kicker) as opposed to what Seagal uses. Master Shimabuku was legit to the highest order. "There are no rules of engagement beyond preservation", as Master Wheeler (one of his students) had said to me. (Yes, I studied beneath the guy who learned from the creator of the martial art.)
Steven is a well-known marksman and applies law enforcement quite well in regard to the communities he operated within as a lawman, as do most 'celebrity deputies'. Jon is right to denegrate certain aspects of Steven's career, and even simply poke fun at his 'action hero coolness', but there are some things to pay a certain degree of respect to. Speak how you will about the person and how they carry themselves, but do not speak ill of what they learned that got them there. That's how I view martial arts.
The issue with Aikido is that it's a diet form of Judo. The basics of judo is that practicioners form solid stances and manage their center of gravity, using the momentum of their opponents strikes against them with the goal of incapacitating as quickly as possible. Aikido strives for the same results but does away with the practical foundations in favor of spiritual influences and hoping the opponent is stupid enough to make big openings. It falls into the martial arts trap of only being effective against itself and falls apart against most other fighting styles like MMA. The idea of it being non-violent is also contradictory to the concept of martial arts, which is why it's not looked upon favorably in the fighting industry and practitioners counter by having a sense of elitism that they can do something others can't.
@@theotherjared9824 I largely agree. We used to have a joke in the dojo I learned at that the striking arts that focused on solid footing and fast handwork were the bane of Aikido. It probably would do decently well against modern TKD (you know the kind I mean, I'd hope) for the precise reason of flash kicks leaving big openings, but Shotokan, Isshinryu, TSD, and a few other 'solid striking' arts would eat Aikido's lunch.
Still. I provide the respect where it is due. That's more out of respect for the people who made it, not the people who go around acting like it's the best martial art out there.
@@AdeptusCaeiusIII I personally have experience with Muay Thai and boxing, two fighting seemingly made specifically to counter Aikido. I can punch them outside of grapple range, and even if I somehow get put into a hold, I can elbow and shin them from basically any angle. It's the curse of the incestuous history of martial arts training never accounting for the opponent going "off-script."
I think in real application, Aikido is largely worthless. Definitely from the way Steven is displaying it, it looks more like performance from him than any skill.
