@@phoenixmountaintaichi I love Jasmine but have not been able to find a good one. Also green tea. I've always felt food energy. Where it's grown and how and sense when something is off. Like additives or unnatural "natural flavorings" which are in alot of teas now .I want to try Oolong after hearing you talk about it. I want to feel the connection to the good energy of clean earth when I drink tea. Like Im in the mountains surrounded by nature or a meadow of flowers ..or in a fruit grove.
@@anamarie8Ooo you might like Osmanthus Oolong! Oolong is lighter in body than green tea, yet fragrant, which maybe adds to that mountain air feel. And then the Osmanthus adds that fruity flora meadow fragrance. It’s really good iced too. Moe is similar to you about sensing the energy of the teas that’s why he likes to visit where they are from. I think to the extent that our body benefits from good nutrition when we eat, our spirit benefits from good energy when we eat. And that energy comes in 3 major forms, the energy of the food’s life, the energy and intention of the food preparer, and the intention of the food eater. Made with mama’s love is a real thing. 😃🙏
Yes thank you I understand, I've released trauma and emotional/spiritual very effectively over the years. It's fantastic to understand finally understand what I did and how. Awesome 😊
I've always loved "after practice" or "lunch" martial arts discussions. I'd like to hear more about the Chang family. There has been speculation about western writing that suggests that books were not originally meant to be read "privately," but acted as a support for reciting memorized epic poems like the Iliad and the Odyssey. Western written languages also didn't use punctuation initially and even after it was initially introduced was abandoned for a while.
Wow I did not know that about English punctuation! That makes sense though about the purpose of books. Let’s dig into more about the Chang family, their writings, philosophies, and martial arts! Thank you for sharing your comment! 😃🙏
Mmm Ceylon is nice. I usually drink non-caffeinated tea. I am fond of Chrysanthemum in the summer, and Rooibos with some warming ingredients in the winter! I'll share more about the Chang Family book in the future. Here's one translation of it I found on Amazon, I've not personally read it but it is indeed available! amzn.to/3YvEKXo
I love this Tea Time chat format. I've been learning from you the different types of Qi you mentioned in the other video about the large, medium, and small frames. In this you mentioned a type of QI that was for those seeking Enlightenment and bodily health? Can you expound more on that? What was that called in contrast with Central QI you mentioned?
Good question! The Qi for health and enlightenment were not necessarily a different type of Qi. It’s just that the manuscript describes practices that involved Qi whose purpose was not for martial arts specifically. Generally, the bodily Qi has a tremendous impact on your physical health and wellbeing. And practices that develop your awareness for Zhang Qi or Central Qi and your alignment with it were helpful for clearing the mind and removing obstacles towards enlightenment. Does that clarify it? Thank you for the great question! We can talk more about it in another episode! 😃🙏
@@phoenixmountaintaichi Yes, thank you. I can see that as you become able to expand that to the "center of the earth", or as you put it in the other video something to the effect of the "ground" or floor of physical matter itself, in however you pointing to that. That degree of expansion and connection into the fabric of the cosmos itself definitely can bring us beyond that separate dualistic sense of the egoic self into "oneness" and a connection with the nondual nature of self and reality. Something like this. I look forward to more of your wonderful insights you are offering us. These are greatly valued.
@@phoenixmountaintaichithe spiritual practices I follow are Indian based in meditation and japa. No martial art involvement as it’s towards enlightenment. As you are aware on the path one does eventually acquire siddhis( psychic abilities) but are not encouraged to seek as they are seen as a distraction to enlightenment. Think of it as you leaving the back door to walk to the gate. If you take a detour to go and smell the flowers(siddhis) , then it will take you longer to reach the gate.😊
There have been many translations for it all of which have their own merit as well as criticism regarding the difficult effort to translate the ancient writing of this esoteric topic.
