The honey you've got a big storm edit gets me every-time I'm so sorry and also thank you for reminding me that I can like ... just go out and get my nose pierced!! Adulthood does have it's perks! 😁
You can put a sponge in your kiddie pool to keep bees from falling in while trying to drink. They like yellow and will land there safely and lick the sponge for water.
If I had any doubt about you being my favourite creator on youtube before the scene with the tissue up your nose cleared that up. That's me during allergy season non-stop
"I don't like numbers. I'm here to vibe. I'm here to feel" YESSSSS. Ali said it all, folks! Much of love, from a fellow auDHD brazilian neurospice viewer 😂❤
i’ve been going through a pretty rough health month that makes it impossible for me to read but finding your channel has really helped me have an outlet for health frustrations thank you for everything ❤
allyyyy the way you talk about the lovely cheesy-ness of mitch albom's writing makes me want to beggg you to give ari and dante another try. i remember you reading some quotes that turned you off from it a little but at least for me it has so many of those seemingly simple but super hard-hitting moments. and its so quick to get through!
dude, i had a haircut appointment the other day. completely freaked out (it was my first hair cut in 6 years). left the place crying, and then, yesterday I was bored and bleach and dyed my hair by myself with no problem my issue is just other people touching me and having control on how I look. the hair cut isn't even that bad, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted so I hated forever
idk why but this video specifically is so comforting. not only is it as comforting as your vlogs usually are for me, but the comfort of knowing im not the only one who seeks out books which i THINK are gonna be 5 stars and end up massively disappointed is so comforting to know. idk why-
That strawberry cream-cheese toast thing sounds really good. I've been trying to eat lots of fruit during the heatwaves here to help with hydration, so I'm gonna try this creation for sure.
Ally oh my god I have the best book rec for u!! I think I've recommended shirley marr in the comments before but I just read a glasshouse full of stars and it is SO UP UR ALLEY. childs perspective!! magical realism!! both high and low stakes!! (childhood fun but also tackles racism in a child friendly way AMAZINGLY). insanely immersive!! (it's written in second person so you did this etc. weird but works soooo well). I devoured it in a day it was incredible it was amazing I love shirley marr and I think ally and anyone else who loves all the above book traits would too!!! (also love the vid as always lmao)
your videos are literally the highlight of my week, thank you for cultivating such a comforting space ^^ also, i promised myself i could sign up to your Patreon once i'm done with my uni assigments and i'm so excited!!
Ahh so excited to watch! I also hate other people cutting my hair but I didn't think I was allowed to cut my own hair (im a rule follower what can I say) until the pandemic and I realized I could cut it myself and I've never looked back hahaha
Sunday is always the best day when you post. It's a cozy corner for my ADHD pregnant mom of a two year old brain. It's the calm in the middle of my toilet training storm. I love your hair in the opening, btw.
Girlie thanks for the great video as always and all but... your into and outro looks??? EXCUSE ME??? Your skin- glowing, your makeup- gorgeous, your hair- spectaculicious, and the new nose piercing are just chef's kiss😍😍😍 I'm blown away 🤯
hi ally, i just wanted to say that i really love your channel. it’s hard for me to come across booktube channels that i really mesh with. and i’m so happy i was able to find yours. i love your content, and your outlook on life. you also inspire me to want to create my own book content. i joined your pocket pages book club, and i’m so excited to read with this smol community you’ve created. i hope you have a lovely sunday 💞
I binged your last three videos today and they were honestly a ray of sunshine after quite a bad brain week ☺ bringing all the slow, mundane, grateful vibes into next week!
I feel the same way about giving books star ratings. I got distracted about what I thout about the books the whole time I wouldn't lose myself in them. I don't even track my reading at all anymore and it's been amazing getting rid of all of the pressure and has made reading fun again.
i woke up from a good nap when i saw you posted a video! i quickly got a slice of the apple pastry i made yesterday and sat down to enjoy your video🍃this week i finished a prayer for the crown-shy and LOVED it!🌼yesterday a friend came over to hang out and i let her borrow the first book in the series :) and she gifted me a rainbow bookmark 🏳🌈 also i can finally tell you how excited i am that the everpress parcels arrived (i am actually somewhat confused why they sent my order in multiple parcels, one arrived at my home and the other i have to pick up on monday) but holding the sweater with your design on it in my hands made me really happy and i'm grateful that i am able to support you in that way!!!🦋
The way I got an allergy company ad for this video 💀 hayfever hit me out of nowhere too a couple years back. A good nasal spray goes a long way, let me tell ya
Apparently since covid loads of people who never had allergies have developed hay fever/ seasonal allergies !! Something so to with our immune system not being exposed as much ?? Idk but now I can’t make fun of my brother for being the only one with the allergy gene:(
what’re the odds, i just bought motherhood last weekend, excited to pick it up! also ok girl the hair is hairing (is that what the kids are saying?) ITS SO SHINY!! and your piercings are so cute!
Love, love, love all the turtles and frogs and cat bellies and nature in this vlog. Also, the chill 5 am vibes while talking about your fav read for the week was like taking a nice long loving deep breath. You couldn't hear me reassure you that I thought a 5 star prediction vlog is about reading books that you thought you'd really enjoy and seeing if you did (3+ stars) or not (
Things that could be a five star for you might be the Hollowpox books by Jessica Townsend! I was so completely transfixed with how silly, sweet, and sincere they were. It reminded me so much of the Little Prince and Roald Dahl. Spineless by Samantha San Miguel was something I picked up and instantly thought of you within fifteen pages for its bounty of wholesome moments! The Grimrose Girls duology gripped me and wouldn't let me go, even as I reread them, but not half as well as Bitterthorn by Kat Dun. Absolutely refused to speak to anyone until I finished that ad boy. Good luck, I hope you find something soon!!!
Loved seeing my friend the mallard duck (the lil lad with the green head 🦆), also allergies ravage me every year, the flowers are so pretty but their pollen has me on my KNEES
I don't know why but the microphone bits have been ironically overstimulating me, spicy.... BUT this cozy corner is my favorite place on the internet. I look forward to Sundays every week and even though I feel like we have different taste in books I love listening to you share the details of every book and your life with us. It's so wholesome and refreshing in a way that the internet doesn't always make me feel. Love it so much here 🤍
Ally, you may enjoy Anne of Green Gables if you enjoy children's content and books full of philosophy that might be considered twee/cheesy but is pretty profound and good to be reminded of nonetheless. Anne is also widely considered an autistic-coded character, and her approach to life is affirming and comforting. I am almost finished reading all of the author's novels because the feelings evoked by them are so warm and fuzzy, so I thought I'd recommend. Little warning for the fact that it was published in the early 1900s, so there are facets of the writing that haven't aged well, but if you go in with a consciousness of the context I actually think they are feminist, progressive books for their time.
I somehow forgot to subscribe because your videos are always on the page 😅😅 yay for nose studs, nay for runny noses 😮 and omg you could only edit in the 'honey' from the big storm coming 😂😂😂😂 it's always so funny
Hello hellooo! So, I know this isn’t book related BUT I would love a video about your cats? Like, personalities, quirks, tips on cats, cat trivia. UPDATE: to make it book related…what if you sprinkle cat content in between reading books about cats, cats on the cover, etc. 👀 Some books about cats I’ve found/books on the cover: - If cats disappeared from the world (Genki Kawamura) - The cat who saved books (Sosuke Natsukawa) - She and her cat (Naruki Nagakawa) - Pet Sematary Stephen King)
I loved Mitch Albom's For One More Day in high school! It made me cry and want to hug my mom. Great video, as per usual! Your video production (as an independent ytber!!!!!) is amazing, unparalleled, a source of inspiration
When I was a kid I saw part of a movie on tv where a man got crushed to death by a ferris wheel and met people in the afterlife and it made me SO scared of ferris wheels. I never knew the title but now you’ve read Five People You Meet in Heaven I think I’ve worked it out 😆
I'm wearing my 'theres no rush' jumper here in wintery Australia, while watching your video. Cozy, warm, and my mantra ❤ I will admit at the beginning I was screaming at my screen for you to pick up 'infinite country' by Patricia engel! Haha maybe next time 🎉
Hey Ally! Loved this weeks video. And hearing you talk about “Motherhood” and the things you wished it had covered reminded me of a book I just finished reading. “Without Children” by Peggy O’Donnell Heffington. Absolutely stunning. It’s premise is to discuss the history of how women have avoided/chosen against motherhood, but alsooo, the various ways in which those without children also took on the verb of “mothering” in their lives. Very fascinating, and for me-a life changing read. Check it out and maybe see how it aligns or doesn’t with “Motherhood”!
Out of all the booktubers I follow I love ❤ Allison the most! I like how she throws in abit of her day, nature and such! Just the balance is perfect 🎉 I’d like to see more vlogging and do you ever declutter any of your books?
Such a cozy video. I can’t tell you how much I look forward to Sundays. Thank you for being you 💙💙💙 PS The way I screamed when my Little Victories t-shirt arrived on Saturday. I love it SO much 🎉
the goal ( finding a five star book ) shouldn’t take away from the journey !! you found lots of good books and it was a lovely watch :-) i hope you’re taking care of yourself ally 🫶
Hi girl, if you want to cut your hair and have layers but hate other people doing it, google up the "butterfly cut" - it's basically made to cut your own hair and slap 🔥
Maybe in the future you could do “reading favorites predictions” to get the feeling of this concept instead of having the narrow it down to a star rating
I just finished A kind of spark by Elle McNiccol, the one you showed in your recent book haul. And omg if you have not picked it up yet gosh you're gonna love it, it's so cute!! The main character's sister is a youtuber which i thought was very fitting considering your job lol. It deals with online hate, 'not being autistic enough', bullying and being 11 in a wonderful middle grade way. Just adorable ❤
I'm curious, what's been everyone's favourite books of the year so far? (it's for genuine scientific research)
The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches!!!!!
The Book That Wouldn’t Burn!! It was so good i can’t stop thinking about it
What My Bones Know by Stephanie Foo, it's a memoir that really stuck with me the past few months
The light pirate, Nona the ninth, hijab butch blues, a psalm for the wild built, happy place!!
Lanny by Max Porter
I have autism too and it is such a comfort that every sunday at the same time I can expect one of your videos!
I relate to this so much! Safe space on the internet ❤
I love the neurospiciness of freaking out about a hair appointment but also being like "two holes in my face? Yes plz nbd!" RELATE.
"Am I embarrassed? No, I'm rather grateful"
The honey you've got a big storm edit gets me every-time I'm so sorry and also thank you for reminding me that I can like ... just go out and get my nose pierced!! Adulthood does have it's perks! 😁
ok, your hair??? so shiny and gorgeous!
RIGHT?!!
i had that exact thought!
You can put a sponge in your kiddie pool to keep bees from falling in while trying to drink. They like yellow and will land there safely and lick the sponge for water.
The stuffed animal side quest is the most relatable happening I hope you can have them all
Your hair in the video intro is an absolute vision
If I had any doubt about you being my favourite creator on youtube before the scene with the tissue up your nose cleared that up. That's me during allergy season non-stop
"I don't like numbers. I'm here to vibe. I'm here to feel"
YESSSSS. Ali said it all, folks!
Much of love, from a fellow auDHD brazilian neurospice viewer 😂❤
This vlog has everything! Piercings, cats, ducklings, stuffed animals, books!
Doing a puzzle, drinking coffee, and watching Ally. Doesn’t get better
i’ve been going through a pretty rough health month that makes it impossible for me to read but finding your channel has really helped me have an outlet for health frustrations thank you for everything ❤
You dancing at 10:29 about the ducklings is giving “we got a dollar” from the little rascals
omg!!! love i always do that dance
hey hey hey HEY!
allyyyy the way you talk about the lovely cheesy-ness of mitch albom's writing makes me want to beggg you to give ari and dante another try. i remember you reading some quotes that turned you off from it a little but at least for me it has so many of those seemingly simple but super hard-hitting moments. and its so quick to get through!

the hair cut isn't even that bad, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted so I hated forever
Oh my gosh!! The nose piercings look INCREDIBLE on you!
thank you!!
Ally! I wanted to tell you that I'm so happy with my snail shirt! It's super comfy, lightweight and perfect for the warm weather in the Netherlands.
i'm SO happy to hear it! aw wow :') hopefully a fresh launch will come out for fall times!
@@allisonpaiges ooh exciting ☺️🥰
Ahh I'm still waiting for it to arrive here in the Netherlands!
@@manoeksbooknook ik hoop dat je hem snel krijgt! Echt een super fijn shirt om te dragen

I love that you add music from familiar video games to your vids
idk why but this video specifically is so comforting. not only is it as comforting as your vlogs usually are for me, but the comfort of knowing im not the only one who seeks out books which i THINK are gonna be 5 stars and end up massively disappointed is so comforting to know. idk why-

thank you for being such a light on the internet!! We appreciate you so so much and hope you have a wonderful Sunday 🩵🩷
IT IS THE SOUL CALIBER LOBBY MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND FOR ME!!!!! I am addicted to your videos!
Ahh so excited to watch! I also hate other people cutting my hair but I didn't think I was allowed to cut my own hair (im a rule follower what can I say) until the pandemic and I realized I could cut it myself and I've never looked back hahaha
Me too! I wanted a cropped haircut and the idea of someone’s hands in my hair made me PANIC
Opposums are relatable as a neurodivergent haha. Misunderstood and productive in their own ways!!
Have a fun gay reading time!
Two videos in a row your hair has looked amazing at the start. I assumed you did get it done!
Sunday is always the best day when you post. It's a cozy corner for my ADHD pregnant mom of a two year old brain. It's the calm in the middle of my toilet training storm. I love your hair in the opening, btw.

Thank you for being you 💙💙💙

I finally have my shirt!!!!! It arrived and I love it☺️
so happy to hear it! yaaaay!!!
love ur hair!
Love you loads, Alli! ❤️ Amazing video as always!
