Yay gay and 40k! I'm a Librarian from Canada. For Pride we cut out hundreds of butterflies from rainbow paper and made a giant heart. Fave book this month was the graphic fiction 'Killer Queens', there were hench otters. It was so very gay. 🌈

hello everyone! i found this channel a few months ago and binged the whole thing in like the first week or two ^^ i am aroace, chronically ill and probably also some flavour of neurodivergent, i grew up in the very north of Italy and am currently studying german sign language at uni in Hamburg :) i am so happy that i found this little corner of the internet because these vlogs not only make me feel incredibly seen but also inspire me to take better care of myself and make me happy-stim everytime i see a new one
I also absolutely loved Dogs of Summer! Also I feel you about the unsolicited advice!! I have had people tell me to stop taking insulin and drink tea or to try and drink my own pee to cure my type 1 diabetes. I mean they can try my pee if they want, but no thank you!

Based on the description of Dogs of Summer, I really think you would LOVE My Brilliant Friend (aka Elena Ferrante’s Neopolitan novels). At the center we have an incredibly complex, dynamic female friendship that spans from childhood in a poor Naples neighborhood to late middle age. It is simultaneously a slice of life for these characters while existing in the bigger world of Italy as the politics and climate dramatically shift in the second half of the 20th century.

Congrats on 40k! I’m Nancy and I’m a children’s librarian in Oregon, and I am very much TEAM CRAN BABY. I have a doggy that I love and I am trying to get into waking up early to reclaim personal time instead of staying up so late next day Nancy suffers for it lol. My work week starts on Sundays so these videos are my comfort watches to remind myself to take things slow and reward myself for making it through the work day.

One time someone suggested that I set alarms for the morning to help with my trouble waking up (and going to sleep) on time. Like umm, hellooo, I already have TWO, sometimes THREE alarms set for the morning 🙃

That's my first comment on one of your videos but I've been tuning in regularly for a while now and it's my favourite weekly ritual ❤ I even went to Belgium for a city break because in your vlogs it's such a chill place to be (hello, tourism ministry? Someone's doing your job for you). And I found some awesome bookshops in Ghent where they had a nice selection of books in English and even displayed a few books you recommended (maybe they tune in as well 😁). I'm sure you have the bookshop map covered pretty well buuut in case you haven't been there yet I think you'd enjoy 1) Paard van Troje and 2) Limerick.
