    The problem we are working on today is on the subject of open channel flow. All we have to do is perform the following steps:
    Step 1: Find the total volume of water behind the dam
    Step 2: Use Mannings Equation to find the flow rate of water in the channel.
    Step 3: Divide the water volume by the flow rate to get the time it will take to empty the dam.
    Please note that newer versions of the reference manual may have been released since this video was recorded. The search terms are usually still correct, but the page numbers listed in the video will be different.
