I remember how much attention I got when I visited USA back in 2012, and rented a Dodge Challanger RT, orange, with black stripes. Can't imagine all the attention you'd get in something like this 😅 (I'm from Norway, and due to stupidly high gaz prices, I drive a Prius. So driving a Challanger thru the dessert in Nevada and Arizona while listening to Creedence, sure was a dream come true🙂)
Damn, imagine the Dukes had 1400hp to outrun Roscoe...lol! Its funny you did that U turn at that intersection in Covington, thats right by the Newton County jail {spent almost a year in there 😁} & you came right past where I worked at Pactiv ✌💖☮
@@LongIslandMopars Oh yea! I remember Newton County sheriffs dept had those back then & they were beasts! My grandpa ran the local Walker Harris Chrysler/Plymouth/Dodge dealership from 1946-1979 & all their cars & the Covington police cars {which were also MOPAR} were serviced there! I hung around that place as a kid all the time just to see the cars & talk to the salesmen about them! They even serviced & stored all the Dukes cop cars & the Heat of The Night cars in the back lot! I been a MOPAR guy all my life {60 yrs}
@@SquirminHermanthe1eyedGerman very cool. All Mopar for me except the daily drivers. Have my dad's 66 Coronet that he bought new. I grew up in it. He's passed on and so now the car I grew up with keeps company with my 74 Charger.
@@LongIslandMopars that is so cool! I wish I still had all my old ones! My 1st was a 73 Fury III sport coupe & my grandpa left me his 72 Newport! Some folks hate on those 74 Chargers but I liked them
@@SquirminHermanthe1eyedGerman That Fury sounds like the one in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. One of my cousins was NYPD back in the 70s and had a 73 Fury 4 door as a blue-and-white radio car. A buddy of mine also dailies a highly modified 69 Newport 2 door. I never understood the hate that 3rd gen Chargers receive. I grew up as a Petty fan and the 3rd gen Charger was the best all-around stock car of its time. I love the 2nd gen Chargers styling but they were bricks in racing and needed a droop nose and fighter plane wing to go fast. Haters will be haters but I appreciate first, second, and third gens each for what they represent.
Yes I have! Ive been to all the Georgia Filming locations, and made a documentary down there! You should go check it out! 🔗 ua-cam.com/video/_stOp7gWu_A/v-deo.html

Hey chunkey, I was wondering if you are down to hang out with me. I’m going to be at the 25 anniversary of cooters event and if you are still going do you think you could ride 4 wheelers at my house??? 🤞
I have a question, where does the guy live that owns the silver general? I live in Sanford North Carolina and there is one that looks just like it. Is that the same car? I think there’s also a matching silver pick up truck I want to say maybe it’s a dodge also. Just curious, I have a nine year old that’s crazy about the show maybe he could take him for a ride if it’s the same guy

Those ex-CHP Monacos and Furys were a lot faster than the General in the TV series. If they ran flat out, those 440 police cars were good for 140 mph.

Yes that is Brandon Bergin. Look him up on Facebook, he has a page Silver General Lee and I'm sure he'd be willing to link up and give yall a ride!
Cops must know him.
He's in Indiana apparently so if you stay out their you'll probably see him or if you can find his email 🤷🏻♂️
He lives in the middle of Tennessee
Where's Kid Rock when you need him! We all know he's cool and he generally don't give a f**k!
Whistling diesel really gonna cut the roof off on his general lee I hope not
Naw he was joking I think.
I highly doubt he was being serious

Look at all the stupid rubber necks stoping traffic because of the police
