Evenin I think the lit up trams make Blackpool they are beautiful lit up oh no it’s kickin off in Blackpool brilliant just brilliant enjoyed that till the next one 😊
They look amazing but triggered my ocd I spent years designing and installing seasonal lights and was always straight onto any lamp that was not working, considering it's peak illuminations season i would be changing the blown ones every day so looks the part.
The Heritage Trams are something else Stephen, love the history of them, love the noise of them & Blackpool wouldn't be Blackpool without them, another great video ❤️👍
Evening Stephen, let's hope they keep the old trams running, they are part of Blackpools history but the new trams are great as well, they run a good comfortable and clean service, cheers mate.
The Heritage trams are possibly one of the only reasons to visit Blackpool, those and the tower ballroom. Still reasonably priced to take a lights tour on one. You feel a bit famous when you are on one and everyone is gawping at you going past.
Pleasure beach shut at 7pm , wow , the best part of going to the fair was going at night when it was all lit up . That with the cost of getting in is turning many away. Trams still look great though
Hi Stephen, you'd better get your ticket booked, the train is fantastic lit up, thanks for the look at the sea always nice to see it. Thanks take care 😊x
Hi Stephen, another great video! It was lovely to see the old heritage illuminated trams, we love them. We're coming to Blackpool again on Saturday for a week so should be able to see them personally. You never know, we might bump into you this time! See you next time.xxxx
Hi Stephen another cracking upload love the old trams very nostalgic and puts a smile on my face . Me and the wife and friends coming down thur 26th till Monday the 30th September . Love the place altho alot of the old places i remember from early 70’s and early 80’s are long gone i suppose time marches on this wil be my 50th year visiting Blackpool. And I loved my old Dad telling me about his visits in 50’s and 60’s godbless him . One place I won’t be visiting is the pleasure beach closed so early on a Friday night and not lit up what’s going on there I loved the days you could walk In for free and pay as you go even if they more reasonable with prices I’ve heard it’s £50+ now per person ouch last time I was in was nearly 20 years ago and remember when peak season and illuminations it was open till Midnight and all lit up at weekends .sadly days gone but nevertheless we will have great time love the resort just driving down from Glasgow leaving at 6:45 am gives us all a buzz and the memories and nostalgia are still there remember when all the theatres and piers had stars off the telly during the season . Ken Dodd , Freddie Starr , The Nolan’s , Russ Abbot , Jimmy Tarbuck and Bernard Manning to name a few the list is Endless keep up the fantastic content mate it puts a smile on my face .
Hi Stephen good to see the heritage trams running, they really look good... Only a few days until my stay at the Carlton, really looking forward to a relaxing long weekend break... Until the next one...
you need to visit the crich tramway museum in derbyshire Steve, as they have some of the blackpool trams there :) even the black country museum in dudley has trams
Hi Stephen thank you for another great video as always ive Been on all of the illumination trams the western train being my favourite they are so iconic have a great evening xx
Hey steven, Another great video, we spotted you 10 days ago while we were riding the Western train illuminated tram, The closing video footage of the illuminations is top notch, Well done, Keep up the good work sir. Ur No1 fans from lancaster 😊😮❤
Fabulous, I’ve never been on any of the heritage trams but hopefully will one day. Love the drone footage over the illuminations at the end, I’d love to see that view all the way through from start to finish but it’s probably not possible. Thank you xx
When ITV started back in 1956 (outside London), the weekend programmes were provided by ABC Television for the North of England and the Midlands from studios in Didsbury in Manchester and Aston Cross in Birmingham. The Aston studios were shared with ATV who provided programmes during the week for the Midlands. Weekday programmes in the North of England were provided by Granada. The North of England was Lancashire and Yorkshire combined. In 1968 the region was split to form 2 regions - Granada, and Yorkshire TV.
I adore the Heritage trams Stephen wouldn't be Blackpool without them. Less chance of being run over at least you can hear them coming. Surprised to hear you've never been on one, hopefully you'll rectify that soon.😊😊😊
Hi Stephan , love the old trams and the illuminated trams. they are part of Blackpool. they are a tourist attraction, a great video with the trams and the view of the sea. take care and ill see you in the next one. Mildred. xxx
Going on the Paddle Steamer "Blackpool Belle" tram would have been different - music, sitting facing outwards. It was apparently scrapped in the USA. I did see it a lot, quite effective. The wild west train tram was the peak of creativity. Things like the hover tram and frigate less so. Run a contest to think up a new illuminated tram design - must have been something new to inspire in the last 50 years.
Excellent video Steve. The train is actually "the Western Train", not the Great Western Train. Great Western runs the trains from West London to the West Country an Wales. 733-734 was inspired by former Blackpool Corporation Transport general manager, Joe Franklin, who was watching a Western film in which Red Indians attacked a train. He decided that his craftsmen in the workshops were capable of replicating such a feature car using a redundant railcoach tram for the locomotive and a 1928 Pantograph car for the carriage as they were almost perfect for the part. The noise coming from the trams is the compressor which "charges up" the air system so that the trams' brakes will work. All of the illuminated feature cars can be driven from both ends as they all feature a controller and brake system at either end. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for another great video Stephen. Have you ever reviewed the Harrowside Chippy? Had a lunch of fish, chips and peas there yesterday. The fish was a thick fillet of white cod with crispy batter. Only £8 for what they called a small portion but it was plenty for lunch. The café is nice and clean with friendly service.
Great seeing the illuminated trams Stephen, look great of a night. I must say personally I prefer the normal vintage trams but these illuminated ones are also very nice especially when it's dark.
I was on an illuminated tram back in the 80's. It was the Spaceship (Rocket) as I was (and still am) a huge space fan. it was okay inside with two astronaut models up front. but the visibility outside was quite poor tbh.
charging people to walk around the pleasure beach will kill it off , just like it did in Southport ,and let people pay to go on the rides they want to go on
A couple of years ago we were on the train tram and it kept tripping out and stopping. Eventually they got it sorted out and we got to see the Illuminations
Hi Stephen, I love the old heritage trams. I used to go on them before the new ones came out. I've not been on the illuminated trams though. That noise is the electric compressor filling up the air tanks for the brakes. I don't understand why the Pleasure Beach is shutting early, it must be really making a loss. I wish she'd get rid of the entrance fee.
Hi steve, i have just came home from a lovely week away in blackpool, What ever happened to all the other trams that had all the lights on and also the double decker ones, always remember them as a kid.
TBH, youre best touring the lights on a vintage tram rather than an illuminated one, if its really dark, you cant see out the side cause of the bulbs reflecting in the window. Youre also missing the chance of seeing one of the trams you Wanna look at passing by.
I do sometimes put them in. Do you think it would make a big difference to how many see the video? I am in talks with an actual human at UA-cam currently, so they can help me with analytics.
I love all the Trams i was on HMS Blackpool last year for the illumunations tour, i do miss the bullett tram I remeber seeing that as a child
Thanks for that Stephen, i love those trams, amazing view of the illuminations at the end 👍👍
I love the illuminated trams ❤
Evenin I think the lit up trams make Blackpool they are beautiful lit up oh no it’s kickin off in Blackpool brilliant just brilliant enjoyed that till the next one 😊
The noise from the old Illuminated tram is the compressor for the air brake's Every now and then it kicks in to keep the air pressure up.
Don't you just love the sound of them old trams the wheels rubbing off the tracks
Possibly the nicest guy on UA-cam 🙌

Blackpool's illuminations wouldn't be the illuminations without the heritage trams . Hope to have a ride on one, one day or night as the case may be
What a great video Stephen many thanks for that, and yes go for a ride on them.
Pleasure beach shut at 7pm , wow , the best part of going to the fair was going at night when it was all lit up . That with the cost of getting in is turning many away. Trams still look great though
It shut at 5 the other weekend😢
Thanks Stephen the trams look great, when it’s getting dark wonderful…..
Great Vlog Stephen love those old heritage trams. And great the intro music is back🥳
Hi Stephen, you'd better get your ticket booked, the train is fantastic lit up, thanks for the look at the sea always nice to see it. Thanks take care 😊x
I did the ghost tram tour this year and have completed the illuminated tour a couple of times as a child.

In October me and Maxine are taking my mum on the Western Train we’ll try get some video of it
the motor noise you mention on the tram in the beginning is the air compressor which supplies air to the brakes 🙂🙂
Thanks.
Thanks for another great video Stephen.

Hi Stephen another great video liked the lights on the team blackpool wouldn't be the same without all the lights from Michelle in Nottingham 😊😅😂
Thank you Stephen for a great vlog love to see the trams lit up.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice to see its still british..... been going there since i was a wee one
Great seeing the illuminated trams Stephen, look great of a night. I must say personally I prefer the normal vintage trams but these illuminated ones are also very nice especially when it's dark.
31m soon
Some good footage
Pref the balloon
Must be getting 1m views per 21 days great going
U set the standard
I've managed to get my first ever light up tram this week got the same as you the boat
That sound that the tram makes is the compressor it put air into the breaks
The noise is the compressor that controls the air pressure for the air brakes!
Love this video Stephen, but just need to say that it's never 'just an ambulance'! 😄❤️
I being on light up trams for lights
The tram train going backwards looks like a glitch in the matrix lol.. watching from Garforth Wetherspoons.
I'm booked on the western train next month
I was on an illuminated tram back in the 80's. It was the Spaceship (Rocket) as I was (and still am) a huge space fan. it was okay inside with two astronaut models up front. but the visibility outside was quite poor tbh.

charging people to walk around the pleasure beach will kill it off , just like it did in Southport ,and let people pay to go on the rides they want to go on
the the noise your herd was the compresser pumping up the the air in the receiver tanks for the brakes on the tram 🚋
i love seeing bunnies :)
hi 👋 Stephen ❤👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Don’t let him see this comment!!!! 😱
I much prefer the old trams. Think they are a great attraction
Hi Stephen would love to go on one of these trams but I use a mobility scooter so I can't
Hi steve, i have just came home from a lovely week away in blackpool,
What ever happened to all the other trams that had all the lights on and also the double decker ones, always remember them as a kid.
They still exist, but mothballed.
Thanks for videos Stephen. Have you met the Chatter Guys yet?
Yes, I've met them a couple of times.
@@AWalkontheWildSideBlackpool cool
Will they be on Saturday?
Blackpool heritage trams needs money fast, if they dont get that roof fixed, they could end up selling trams, they are selling the 2 heritage buses
The Western Train would more than likely have crossed back over at Foxhall.
The noise is the trams compressor.
i have been on the lit up train and boat :)
You should be given a free pass with your famous status 😂😂 Nice one Stephen 👍
You can scoop all the beer monsters up on the front of that tram.
the lights on the wheels used to make it look like the wheels were moving, have they stopped working??
What happened to the rocket ?
Stephen can you tell me can wheelchairs get on these trams and the heritage ones
There noise was the air compressor
The illuminated trams look fantastic at night time obviously. I’m amazed the PB closing at 7pm this time of year🤬

No it's not free there is a charge for using the service.
