@TeletubyofDOOM and parts of the Skyrim theme sound like the Morrowind theme. The main reason for this is the composer uses parts of previous themes and melds them into a new one.
Honestly, I think Oblivian had a lot more to it than Skyrim. There were more quests, and a lot more enchantments that you could use, not to mention that they were easier to get a hold of. Water-walking was under-appreciated. It was also fun going through all the gates to snag the sigil stones. In Skyrim, daedric creatures were rare. In Oblivion, you were running.
@coppermeowmix Skyrim was my first TES but I respect the older TES games. It just ticks me off when someone says that the morrowind theme or oblivion theme sounds like Skyrim's, its like I want to throw my computer out the window. I have become very interested in The Elder Scrolls lore.
For everyone who says this is the Skyrim theme, listen!!! The Elder Scrolls has used the theme from Morrowind, with different renditions as its main theme. Morrowind's was mystifying and mysterious, Oblivion's is normal proud and like a march, and Skyrim's is strong and adventurous.
@fuzzykins94 I use some old AKAI samples for the choir called Symphony of Voices. I use various libraries for the strings, mostly the samples that come with Kontakt, and EWQLSO. The samples from Kontakt are really cool, some of them (especially the french horns) have nice legato versions. But it takes experience to make them sound good together.
@aztaclalz You're forgetting that Oblivion isn't a medieval world like the one we had. They have advanced magic that is far beyond our most advanced technology, and they have potions that heal you instantly of disease or wounds.
No, but after watching a billion different videos on UA-cam, it seems to me that most people thumbs down if they got another opinion unless we write that this is my opinion, and actually I agree to you, I dont thing i have played any game more then I have played Oblivion, its a masterpiece, and greatly deserved the game of the year title it got Uo front, if i did some grammar mistakes i am sorry :)
@aidenwolfR I think about that a lot, but that kind of stuff never really existed. Kings, emperors, barons, traders, nobles and all men of power have always exploited the little people, and we were dying by the numbers from the simplest disease without achieving anything. I'd rather look to the future than the past, and enjoy games like this which paint a better picture. It's why I will always like Oblivion more than things like The Witcher or Dragon Age which are constantly dark.
@freak4388 if you play updated skyrim, you'll very very seldom hear that "I took an arrow in the knee" sentence from guards. I also couldn't understand at first, why people made so much fun of it.
I fucking love Oblivion as much as I love Skyrim, and those who say that Daggerfall and Morrowind were better, I say YOU LOSE, You get nothing! Good day sirs I say GOOD DAY!
This is a new version, unlike the other one on my channel, which is old. Kinda guessed that. But i'm not disliking or hating, the song is absofuckinglutely epic.
@metabog BUT! If we could live in Oblivion that would be different, even though it was basically the same but with one guy being insanely bad ass (the Player).
I agree with you, I liked Oblivion better in a lot of ways. I always feel like going back to Oblivion rather than Skyrim, just don't like the simplified mechanics and shift to more of an action-type game.
I'm a little torn. I did enjoy this, and I liked it and favourited it, but I wasn't completely happy with how it was mixed. I felt like the main theme got swamped, overpowered by everything else, where I would have liked it to sing over the top a little more. For example, in these places I felt like it was a bit low... 0:52-1:02 1:19-1:40 (esp. from 1:30 onwards) 1:56-2:07 However, to bring it up and let it sing over the top would subtly shift the genre and style. Thus, as I said, I'm torn.
well i played oblivion and skyrim but i acully liked skyrim better mainly because i liked the gameplay better. the story could have been better amitidly but its still my favriot game. i liked the sound track to morrowind the best.
Episode 400 !!!!!
Justine Berna entre Benzaie qui fait 50 épisodes sur oblivion et Bob qui en est à 440 il y a une différence de level
I want this song to follow me around while playing out loud for the rest of my life, so I feel like everything I do is epic.
Epic, Symphonic, Power, Adventure, Cosmic, Quest, Battle Metal!
Total Biscuit Brought me here! EPIC!
in my opinion the way for bthesda to make the best elder scrolls is to input the best attributes from Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim into it
This is just... Pure epicness.
Anytime I get the itch to play Oblivion, I always replace the Intro song with this.
Idasuki mase so replace it to to original Music file location nad rename.
RJD Channel I already do that.
And man, time flies. I remember when I made this comment.
Thank you TotalBiscuit for the linkage! Enjoy the song, and note I have a Skyrim metal version as well on my channel!

Wow I was expecting to be good but this is just beyond words. And thanks for the download link you read my mind.
@Menelius91 It's the part of your leg that connects the femur with the tibia. It's one of the most important joints.
This is the most god like version of the oblivion theme ever this track goes to my mp3 player NOW!
Guess what's going on my favorites list this day!
@Napalm13092 I'll try to upload it somewhere later, cause right now I'm New Year-ing all over the place.
@coppermeowmix

Best version of the Oblivion theme yet, thanks for the new startup.
@SuperLeshina I know. That was supposed to be a refrence.
this is absolutely amazing.

@metabog You sir are fantastic!
@aztaclalz You're forgetting that Oblivion isn't a medieval world like the one we had. They have advanced magic that is far beyond our most advanced technology, and they have potions that heal you instantly of disease or wounds.
@Hazbags Haha, that was the intended effect.

Uo front, if i did some grammar mistakes i am sorry :)
@Jzzy132 Yes, and it comes out in disgusting compressed mono.
@metabog Excellent! Many thanks!
@bitesizeguy actually it took me about 10 sec for me to forget Gunnarr123abc's comment =D
skyrim doesn't have many voice actors either but there are more varietions in the way of speaking.
does the elder scrolls proud, bloody fantastic!!
OMAIG THE DRUM IS SO GOOD
@aidenwolfR I think about that a lot, but that kind of stuff never really existed. i want to play oblivion while listining to this fucking music now i fucking love heavy metal
F*CKING EPIC!!
Nicely done, hats down. It's a joy to listen. However, I would still prefer the original theme. Damn nostalgia :).
dude you are awsome!!!! Bethesda should hire you to work on thier soundtracks!
@TeletubyofDOOM Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim themes are built on same notes; so nothing is wrong.
Best cover!!!! Feel the POWER!!
le epic
It's time for martin to band his head for this battle. and die for what he loves metal!
@freak4388 if you play updated skyrim, you'll very very seldom hear that "I took an arrow in the knee" sentence from guards. I also couldn't understand at first, why people made so much fun of it.
@TeletubyofDOOM Nope, it's note for note the TES4 theme.
Awesome! The last drum part was a little lol but still awesome
amazing....truly amazing. though i agree that it could use a little bass.
I came here as a mere troll looking to trololol. I now bow to the awesomeness of this videos creator. What is thine bidding my master?
Sounds awesome :) I never get this music when inside the game though... :(
My god i was 4 when this dropped
Fuck yeah! One of my favourite game theme's metal version!
@metabog So wheres that upload, this is good! :)
woot thanks biscuit and metabog
@Yupiyeahs Done, there's a mediafire link in the description. Enjoy!
My frontpage said me and TB both liked this. Me gusta.
I fucking love Oblivion as much as I love Skyrim, and those who say that Daggerfall and Morrowind were better, I say YOU LOSE, You get nothing! Good day sirs I say GOOD DAY!
I defeated Umaril on very hard to this... Thank you for that
I feel like I should be thrown into a moshpit with Rufio and few of the brotherhood with this music!
This is a new version, unlike the other one on my channel, which is old. Kinda guessed that. But i'm not disliking or hating, the song is absofuckinglutely epic.
@ingenious138 Maybe you'll get a surprise performance from Sithis ( in the form of everyone suffering forever).
Cool tip, type repeat right after youtube and before .com and enjoy all day
Came into my head randomly last night. Was like "MUST LISTEN TO AGAIN >:L"
@metabog okay jeez sorry for the compliment
this is awesome.
I've always found it strange what tiny part the actual elder scrolls have had in the games named after them.
Amazing.
@Boganvillar there are rumors that the DLC will be set in the Cyrodill :D
@metabog BUT! If we could live in Oblivion that would be different, even though it was basically the same but with one guy being insanely bad ass (the Player).
you seem like the kind of person I could get along with
It's time for emporer martin to band his head for this battle.
@GUITARPLAYAx93x Looking forward to doing that in Skyrim.
How do you get such an authentic string and choir sound? That's freaking amazing!
@SoldierZyco Yes.
Hmm. I have Arena but never noticed this theme in it! Maybe I need to listen closer.
@Serraphas3 Everything you are hearing is newly created.
I hate when people always talk about Skyrim in every TES-video. THERE ARE OTHER TES-GAMES Y'KNOW?
OK, this is AWSOME!
Yippee for tags. I search "Dagoth Ur Metal Band" and get this. Dagoth Ur totally sounds like a black metal band.
Мужик это тот самый ковер который я искал спс
@MrBoegela Now that I can agree too.
Well this totally rocks!
@zsreich hmm. i think the guitar tone is way better than any other cover I've heard, and the orchestra...
1:03 '"Find him, and close shut the jaws... of oblivion"
@allball103 I wasn't taking a shot at you dude, sorry if I was rude.
Yah, the guard, "I used to be an adventurer like you, Then i took an arrow in the knee"
I agree with you, I liked Oblivion better in a lot of ways. I always feel like going back to Oblivion rather than Skyrim, just don't like the simplified mechanics and shift to more of an action-type game.
...just paste here and cut there,.... aaand this is my new oblivion theme :D
@freak4388 It's an in-joke from Skyrim.
The Best game evar!
So true...
@Gunnarr123abc The original is still there.
Every elder scrolls game has a similar theme.
2 months and no dislikes, people seems to listen to you ^^
I LOVE YOU
My first game morrowind
@Gunnarr123abc Wait, so you hate metal but knowingly clicked this and listened to it even though the title is "Power Metal" verson...
@allball103 Only one guy complained about the drums. :P
This sounds like 1 of the Morrowind battle themes
I'm a little torn. I did enjoy this, and I liked it and favourited it, but I wasn't completely happy with how it was mixed. I AM NEREVAR, HEAR ME ROAR!
My reaction:
Start:Ok...
When actual music started:
Earrape time!
HOLY SHITBALLS, SON. I JUST GOT EPIC'D.
well i played oblivion and skyrim but i acully liked skyrim better mainly because i liked the gameplay better. the story could have been better amitidly but its still my favriot game. i liked the sound track to morrowind the best.
