Windy day at the airliner meet. Those guys have some real skill and nerve flying those amazing planes in challenging conditions.

@@RCScaleAirplanes Richtig tolle Momente hast du da zusammengestellt. Ich bin selbst Modellbauer und aktiver Pilot. Ich bin stolzer Besitzer einer Hawker Tempest und einer Hawker Typhoon die in jahrelanger Arbeit entstanden. Und auch mir ist sowas schon passiert. Zum Beispiel war mir mal.... hihi.. im Nachhinein betrachtet war es doch komisch. Mir passierte es tatsächlich das das Fahrwerk nicht mehr funktioniert hat und gleichzeitig gab's nen Motorplatzer. Und dennoch konnte ich die Maschine einigermaßen heile herunter bringen. Modellfliegerei ist oft lustig und urkomisch. Aber manchmal sieht man Situationen wo sich wirklich die Spreu vom Weizen trennt was Piloten angeht
also die Spit "landete" scho heftig...-:)

these planes are awesome. mini-jest engines, and mini- engines. they are made by their pilots. each of them is unique. i always wanted plane like that, but anyway I'm happy of my rc plane. this video is amazing
I love rc. I'm into the off-road stuff myself. Can't afford to fly yet. It's nice to watch these to see someone who is having a worse day than me

Hellcat landing with miraculous main gear recovery was something else.
You land beautifully turn around and everyone is busy looking the other way....you bugger it up and the entire pit area erupts in cheers ...That's my club....and most others I imagine... lol.

Danke Hannes. Gerne würde ich darauf verzichten, die Zerstörung der schönen Modelle zu sehen. Die meisten konnten aber schnell wieder einsatzbereit gemacht werden.
Schade, dass bei der F-104 der Rasen aus ging. Die Spit hatte irgendwie ein Eigenleben entwickelt. Es war auch bei Bild für Bild Betrachtung nicht möglich die genaue Ursache zu erhalten. Schade drum.

Well. I have to say that even pilots with a lot of experience can have a bad moment. This video shows a couple of MOMENTS out of more than 1,000 flights I have captured with my camera.

It must be heart breaking to see something you have built & spent many hours working on destroyed/damaged in a landing incident.
the feeling is probably opposite, they probably feel great when stuff like that happens cause it challenges there skill as a hobbyist to work out all the weak points

The last 7 years i built WW2 warbirds,fly it for 6~9 months,sell it and built a new one! The last 13 months i'm flying a P47 with a kolm 77V4 AND I'LL KEEP THAT BEAUTY!!(Already bought a spitfire 30cc i'll put a EME 35cc on it) the S.FIRE at 2:50 had a small bounce but pilot's reaction was tooooo much! GREAT VID AND NICE DAY! !
Now that I'm old, I hate it when they crash. I must be sick. It used to be the best part! i know how much skill it takes to fly one of these graceful beauties. I know how much they cost. They're like magic in flight, so much like birds. It's a good thing these folks know how to fix 'em too!
