Bones 5 Kickstarter: Escape from pizza dungeon... Cheap miniatures for sure. Unboxing and review.

Finally! It arrived after 2 years. A Ton of Minis that I now have to put together and paint! These are definitely cheap miniatures. They are going to get a lot of use in my Dungeons and Dragons D&D game.

i think that flat clear knight is supposed to be like stained glass from a church window come to life! Like a glass golem

That's wild! I thought it was meant to be an illusory figure (and I guess you could do that too) but glass golem totally hits the mark.

I received my pledge reward last week. The only thing I was interested in was the Greek Odyssey set, so that's all I ordered and they are really nice. If it wasn't for the Kickstarter update emails, I probably would have forgotten all about this project I backed 2 years ago. Now I just need to find the time to assemble and paint them.

Bones black material. Also that flat guy was a glass golem. Cannot wait to get my bones 5. Alot of the bigger miniatures are in pieces to make things easier production wise

I think, but am not sure, that the reason so many were not solid pieces was to make it easier to jam them into a single a box.

That could be true. The test will be when I receive the Blacklist miniatures Kickstarter. They are very similar to Bones and it will be interesting to see if they come that way as well. Thanks for the comment :)

@@thecraftingbrothers9448 It's more to do with the production process. You need to mould in seperate parts to get more dynamically posed miniatures.

I just got mine. I went a little crazy and ordered all but one or two of the extra dragons they had too, as well as the dwarven gate/monument (comes with 7 really cool dwarf minis!). Word of warning - some of the models are hard to fit together. I'm not sure how I'm going to put them together. For example, the Basilisk model doesn't fit at all well on the base (it also has a chunk missing out of it). Overall, I'm pretty please with it. Better plastic quality; but, harder to work with. *shrug*

Yeah, I don't have mine yet but I'm fully expecting to have to use hot water to reshape a lot of them.

I found I have had to cut the insert parts a little to make minis fit together better on some of them
