If you have noisy neighbors, this would be the one to put on the stereo at 10 volume, all windows open, leave it on loop and take two weeks in Jamaica.
Grand Funk!! Introduced to them by my College aged brothers. They were bringing him this incredible sounding 3 man band from Flint. I was ony 9 years old, and has been a fan since.
I just wish Mark Farner Mel Schacher and Don Brewer were still together making playing music and would make me so happy feel much better! And i know its not Mark Farner fault and Don and Mel are without Mark playing music using the same band name! I hope youlll think of y'all being together in the 60s 70s Don Brewer and Mel Schacher!
Think of all the rock stars their age that are dead, and think of the fact that Mark, Don, and Mel are still alive and able to do what they do! Rush, ZZ Top, Van Halen, Mountain---can't say they still have all their original (or most important) members--but GFR does! If that isn't enough impetus to reform, I don't know what is!
The following video is as close to the date when this one was recorded---probably a couple of weeks prior? In fact, if I had my choice, this version in Ohio would have gone on the live album and not the one they did in Florida. T Knight should have had his tapes rolling for this show, in my opinion: ua-cam.com/video/SxFl0pod4wI/v-deo.html
This isn't even really the best live performance of the song. Like most jam bands, once they get further away from the original recording, they figure out how to do it better each time they play it---I think 1971 they were at their peak with it
Great band

Saw dem at The LA Forum, 1971.
They were phenomenal! 3 guys made all that sound FUCING LIVE.
Saw them live more than any other band.

Anyone else want to hear Chili Peppers cover this song. Flea's bass would be killing it.
Does the video for this album exist?
