Imagine being a tourist or someone from London who has never seen this show. You're doing your daily walk, or maybe going to catch a cab and this man just comes up behind you with a camera crew belting out about how Hollywood changes a person
How come? I figured it’d just be a matter of re-blocking his path to account for the St. James’ layout. And having a crew on standby to keep said path clear
@@ryanschwartz4959 People in NYC are a lot less respectful than in London, the Times Square area is infinitely busier than the area around the Savoy, and all the pedicabs blasting music will interfere with the sound. It’s not impossible but it’ll take a bigger crew effort to keep the area clear.
@@tananario23 There is no other theatre near the Savoy. The Strand Palace is across the Street. No train station, no people coming and going. Going to be very different in NY.
There are videos of Tom Francis performing this number with an umbrella in hand both on the West End and on Broadway. The rest of the crew and security have umbrellas, and the camera is covered so it doesn't become too wet; there's even footage from January 6th this year in London and it was a typically rainy night. The company must perform no matter the weather, so Tom Francis doesn't have a choice but to walk in -1C weather here or in abnormally warm humidity in NYC
I flew from the US to watch this. Spent money on an airline ticket, hotel, to say nothing of the theatre ticket. This production was terrible. So wrong. So wrong. I nearly left at intermission. I'd much rather see the new Australian production come to NY than this.
Sounds like you were the problem there. You spent money, you took time, you had expectations and you were a whiner in the end. T'was a great show, it's a shame you couldn't see that.

Okay, now the Olivier awards performance makes sense
Love it!😍 Nice to see a video of this performance from the other perspective!💖 Thanks for sharing!👍
Going to be so interesting how they're going to do this for NYC!!!
Americans will ruin this. They won’t being able to do it. Fly to London to see it, knew the USA would screw it up
Thanks so much for sharing! This is exactly what I wanted to see. You just made my day! ❤
Brilliant idea, but we all know this isn't going to end well in New York. lol

Not if they keep it controlled.

Is that part of the show??
What happens if it’s raining?
