- Baba Is You New Adventures Part 2 - familiar mechanics, new applications. It's interesting that they included a world that's entirely about obscure applications of old mechanics in the New Adventures level pack. Still great levels though, lots to love!

Besides the first couple trivial levels, this world has reminded me why I enjoy this game so much. It's a puzzle solving masterpiece. If you're looking for new mechanics, don't worry, there will be plenty introduced over the future episodes!

I find it funny that two levels are literally impossible and Tyler’s just like “wow these are pretty hard but I’ll come back later” like it doesn’t even cross his mind that something could be wrong because this game is just like that lol
what was wrong with skull pile in that state? i am aware having done it today it was patched by now but from what i saw you could still make rock is push while standing on a rock on the flag and just wait until you win no cake needed.

I could complete those two levels yesterday. Didn't see any difference from the video.

@@blorb6637 Before the patch, the level said "Text Near Skull is Skull." It got changed to "Text Near Skull is Not Push."

I love how the name "House House" not only references the developer but also fits into the naming sceme for similar levels in Baba (lovley house, skull house and treehouse) while allowing the beckdrop to be as close to Goose Games' small town setting as possible in Baba.

My solution:
- Baba has Baba => clear center water tiles and acquire Rock
- Fruit is push => push Fruit onto Flowers
- Fruit is sink.
On that note, "solution" for 15:05--
Turned Flag into Baba and stacked text until it worked
Yeah I tried beating it just like he did but failed, then thought of "baba has baba" then thought of "baba is baba" and won with baba is baba

Love your playthrough, but I feel like 3D loses viewers senses of what’s going on in the puzzle, similar to what you talked about in open workd puzzles
Yeah I gotta agree on that. Good news is that as far as I know, 3D levels are exclusive to the first video, so you won't have to worry about it anymore.
3D is better for more "game"-like levels rather than traditional puzzles, I think.
Not only that, but it's also tedious to even do simple things. As an example, I recreated Submerged Ruins, but replaced "you" with "3d". Here it is: UIR3-DFHR. The amount of time it takes me to beat Submerg3D Ruins is almost double the time of the original Submerged Ruins.
The only neat trick to 3d is that as shown in one level you can ascertain the difference between wall objects and objects just on the ground.
@@want-diversecontent3887 IMHO, 3d would be way better if the "YOU2" controls would move the player forward, right, left, and down without changing the heading (forward in YOU2 would be redundant with forward in YOU). Essentially like the "strafe" controls in Quake/Doom.

Tyler can make this world take 30 minutes with some cuts and it took me over 4 hours and I'm still not done, I haven't gotten the last level yet.
Intermittently watching, as the series reboot let me know it's updated, and I've been trying to stay ahead of the videos.
16:05 Interesting different solution. I ended up making "Baba is Win" by swapping with "Baba is Swap", and just ignoring the flag entirely (turned it into a Baba on accident near the end but was still fine).
And yeah, some levels (like briar) got harder, and some got possible.

Playing Treacherous Wetlands, I attempted to solve it via inventory management and concluded it was an impossible puzzle, to then cheese it entirely with BABA HAS BABA to clear water and FRUIT IS SINK to eliminate the flowers. This is why BABA IS YOU is so awesome; attempting to cheat by applying concepts outside those of the presented intended solution is very rewarding, and often required.
Hey Tyler, you might really like Outer Wilds. It's partially a puzzle game, you have to solve a bunch of connected mysteries, and there's a really great story. It's kind of like that one you played where you live for a minute and loop, but instead of reaching physical checkpoints, it's like... The checkpoint is the knowledge you gain. All the things required to beat the game are not hard to execute. Also, it's a really beautiful game in pretty much every way.
The only part you might not like is that it can sometimes be easy to miss key information. This almost never causes a problem, because there's a way if keeping track if you've found everything in an area, but if it does cause a problem you can get stuck for a while. My best advice for that situation is to try and find other leads if that happens, then come back later. This only caused a problem for me twice in my playthrough of the main game, but the DLC is much more cryptic and suffers a lot more for it in my opinion.
Outer wilds is my all-time favorite game, but i don't think tyler will like outer wilds, judging from his the witness gameplay he only likes puzzle solving and ignores all the plot element

Swear I've seen this recommendation in near every video and at least two of the recommendations has Tyler saying he already played it and didn't like it.

Here I was thinking I got the only solution to these levels... on the moon and sun level, i instantly made the moon a sun, got the sun stuck on the ledge, and used the other sun to push the text then turned it back into a moon to clear the ice. on the fruit level, i used fruit has baba and fruit is sink to sink the flowers, then using baba has baba to destroy all the water and winning that way.
Edit: The sprout level too, I used "above" by making a line of babas that runs out so that the baba pushing flag into it would only move once and then i autobabad "baba above baba is move" in and "baba is push" out and i also had a line of babas to act as a relay to push the move into place so i had enough steps.
Edit 2: The "Me" level is different now so I used a system of me relays to get the moving baba over and push keke into the system once so that i would regain control on the other side of the bird.

I love watching this series so glad it’s back. It’s always insane to hear Tyler already have a theory on how to solve it before I even finished trying to understand all the statements that were already built

I used a much simpler solution... Make Moon/Sun Is You and Push and just carry them with Baba independently.

Actually I'm pretty sure your solution to Outreach (level 10) isn't the intended one, since it doesn't use "above' at all. Shame, since the intended solution is really cool imo. If they ever fix the level, I think they are going to make it it need more steps before you reach the "husk is foliage" zone, to prevent your solution.

Wow, I managed to find two solutions for Treacherous Wastelands, and neither of them were anything like what Tyler did. I love this game.
Besides the (way easier) "baba is baba" solution, I had a "baba has baba" one: I used the entire "fruit is push" text to push a fruit into the bottom left section, while "fruit is baba" was set up above. When that section was done I could easily "rescue" the whole message, with "fruit" being stuck to the wall. Then I did the same to get into the flag section, but instead of rescuing the message, I sacrificed a piece of text to get rid of the top water, leaving me with "is push", which I pushed outside a little bit without losing the baba in there. Then, both avoiding the water and the "is" text (since it was on top of the flowers), I manouvered the outside baba for a while until I got "baba has baba". the water was harmless now, so rescuing the rock was trivial. To actually push it into the flag, though, I had to pull "push" out a bit, and sandwich the rock between "is" and "push", before finally pushing it all the way in and winning the level
Holy 20 seconds ago. Anyway I haven't watched yet but in excited to see baba is you again. It was my favourite series on UA-cam and I love to see the game with some fresh mechanics
Just played through all these levels before watching, it's fun to see that my solutions were often quite different from Tyler's. (For instance, I did FRUIT IS SINK on Treacherous Wetlands, TEXT IS NOT PUSH on Matrix, and used text stacking to solve House House.)

I think the intended key for OUTREACH was "BABA ABOVE BABA IS MOVE". That can work with a mountain of Babas, but your approach is simpler, and I found a different solution which used the "ABOVE" text object as a blocker.

'skull house' is also just a memetic level from the original baba, since it introduced an unusual trick and many people got stumped by it. but that's probably the 2nd level of reference?

Your solutions for "Moonrise, Sunset" and "Parakeet Bouncer" have been patched out. "Moonrise, Sunset" was not too much harder for me to figure out; I haven't tried "Parakeet Bouncer" yet.

How? WIN is at the top of the screen, and its horizontal sentence is already taken up by FLAG, with no movable AND in sight.
Recall that sentences can only be created left-to-right or top-to-bottom, never right-to-left or bottom-to-top.
