Baba Is You New Adventures Part 1 - after years of waiting, the level editor update is finally out! Before I tackle your custom levels, I'm first facing the 150+ official levels released that introduce the new mechanics. It feels like I'm playing this incredible game for the first time!

Social media often does this thing where they roll out features in waves and some people get the change earlier than others.
@@Kurszt Not much changed with this. UA-cam comments up late 2012 used to still display likes and dislikes, which in part had to do with GangnamStyle having obtained its own micro community thanks to the sheer volume that video had. They at the time changed it to only show the likes, so you would still see the total like count go up/down by disliking, which less than a year later they removed entirely so it doesn't do anything other than make the comment less likely to show up in the recent roll out of displaying comments that it considers "relevant" aka %recent + upvotes accounted. The dislikes on videos still "do" something if you dislike the video as it retains the value, you just won't see the number yourself.

Tyler, Arcade-F was impossible when you recorded this, but Hempuli, the game’s dev, put in a hot fix so it is possible. Good luck with the series!
How did that happen? Is it to do with the fact that keke gets softlocked on the belt in 3D mode but not in you mode?
Switch is still pre-fix at time of writing this, and yes, that belt stops Keke from going past the belt to the final key. Intended solution was for jiji to block the belt, Keke to use the blocked belt to stand in the gap, then whoever the third one was can float over and push the key out a bit so Keke could push it the rest of the way. Fixed version removed a wall past the belt, allowing the float guy to push it out without help from Keke.
@@austinish so happy I found this comment, I spent like 30 mins trying to get past that damn belt until I decided myself that it was bugged and gave up.

The 3D sections are so cool (Even if it is kinda hard to see where you're going). I remember someone used it to replicate Doom in the game.

Fun Fact! I actually helped Hempuil with the behavior with the behavior with the "Follow" verb! He originally was going to make it to where follow didnt care whether the original leader was still present, and would follow the nearest object regardless of what was happening. This caused levels Hempuli was going to make basically not work.
With my suggestion however, follow makes any subject facing the nearest possible leader copy the path of the leader object, and in the case of smaller groups or faster leaders, turn on the spot to face them. This preference is lost if the leader leaves the follower with a gap of 1 tile or more of space. You can still keep this space i think with "Empty follow xyz" and "xyz follow Empty."
This behavior is why Baba Hour and SnaKeKe works properly! :)

It’s been over 2 years since the first Baba Is You episode came out, and I just started to watch your videos when it came out. It has been a long journey, and I can’t believe I get to watch you play more of my favorite series. Thank you for an amazing 2 years, and here’s to many more!

I finished the original series about a week ago without even knowing this was around the corner. I am ready to have my brain be constantly exploded again and cant wait to see what the viewers come up with.
The most surprising thing about this is hearing Baba came out two years ago... I feel like I shouldn't be able to count things in amounts of years.

The level editor released TODAY. How on earth Tyler managed to record, edit, and release a new video already is beyond me.
Possibly early access? He was one of the youtubers who made the game more known and popular.

I'm not sure how to feel about the 3D or game segments, they seem a bit scuffed. 3D feels too zoomed in for the graphical style, text should be reworked to have a fill to make it easier to read, especially when text gets stacked, and there's just not enough depth to understand your surroundings. Platforming feels unnatural due to the movement style of the game, same goes for space invaders but to a much lesser degree, games based on continuous movement just don't feel great with intermittent movement.
I'm curious how they actually coded the game segments, if it's the typical 'Baba-is-you' tile segments, or if it's just raw code. If it's tile segments, it'll be interesting to see what can be done with them.
I've seen fan levels with baba-ified space invaders, snake, and a platformer similar to the one here. So it's all possible with rule text alone. All those empty tiles in arcade levels are there to hide the rules (text on tile is hide)
considering baba is turing complete, making games out of it is entirely possible
yeah I think the point is to showcase what can be made with in-game components (a taste of what more creative things people will make in the custom level editor), so I'm quite sure they didn't hard-code any of those arcade minigames
Watching him smash through actual baba levels and then struggle with a simple latch in rush hour was kinda confidence boosting ngl

im pretty sure there is a new word "auto", which if you put the statement "level is auto" causes the game to not be turn based and run at a specific speed. im surprised hempuli did not use this in some of the babarcade levels, since it would have made the snake level for example more challenging
Now it becomes a race to beat the levels before Tyler uploads videos because I promised myself no cheating this time...
You can just not watch the videos but i understand thats way harder than it sounds

Finally! One of my favorite seriesssss is back!
I'm so hyped for these new levels. Baba is you is one of my favourite puzzle game, because it's so out of the ordinary. I really liked the easy tutorial leves explaining what happens in the levels, and then throwing you into a really hard puzzle. (on some of them)
A few months ago I watched the whole Baba Is You series and I really enjoyed it so I'm super hyped for its comeback! :D

Hi aliensrock, I have a game suggestion- birthdays the beginning. It’s an evolution simulator but also has puzzling and problem solving parts. There are set levels and free play, and the controls are simple. Hold you see this!
