Oh my god he finally figured out the infinite bubble jump, what can't he do?
He needs to understand 🐟 to unlock flute+
Mario Wonder Vibes
The speedruns are gonna be wild
Break rock with yoyo for many of the “challenging platforming” sections he dealt with XD
And then he learned it in the hardest room for bubble jumping, off.
On the other hand I don’t feel too bad because he effortlessly skipped the cranes that took me way too many attempts to bubble jump past.
kind of in love with how every item in this game is a children's toy
Fire cracker
I didn't even notice that! Thanks for pointing it out.
Spoiler for the game...
The pencil is also a part of a toy... Connect the dots.
not sure id consider matches a childrens toy but yeah or the flute for that matter. thats just an instrument
@@dom7899 sorry, meant just the main tools (firecracker, disc, bubble wand, yo-yo, etc.), animal flute definitely counts because it's an animal flute (makes animal noises), not just a regular flute, and you can see the sprite is colourful
12:55 Tyler never fails to miss the save room and then die losing all of his progress
Same at 22:20
Is he stupid
I love how discovering advanced tech early lets him pretty much completely bypass a ton of puzzle rooms.
it's even crazier seeing how much can be skipped in the under 4 minute speed runs of this game
It's very interesting to see the pathing Aliensrock took during this game, the slinky was the first item I got, and felt like all that was leading up to it was sort of a "tutorial" in the mechanics. It's neat to see someone getting to what I'd consider to be an early game area with a bunch of mobility unlocked, it's funny to see how much they overthink the screens where you can just walk haha
Yeah he had frisbee first, I had bubbles first, the game just lets you chill.
Funny how you experience the game slightly differently based on your first item, many of which are possible
24:55 Mural on the left is the famous Rabbit-duck illusion. Dev's a bit of a philosopher!
r/beatmetoit
it's really cool that this game allows you to unlock different items at different times and take different paths through the world depending on which items you get in what order. it seems like there are multiple ways of getting past the puzzle rooms too also depending on what items you have. it's like you can sequence break a lot of things but nothing actually gets broken, it just works really well
The chameleons are launching blood from the corner of their eyes. This is a real thing some chameleons do. Not several times in a row tho.
1:08 toki tori 2+ vibes, loved the puzzles where you go places you "shouldn't"
What's that game like compared to this?
@@Kogarana1 Aliensrock did a playthrough, watch it
i love how both aliens rock and icelypuzzles are both uploading about this
They are the same person 😊

These last few years have been a ride for puzzle game fans. Can of Wormholes, Paquerette, Animal Well...
The beginner's yoyo trick of letting it spin onto the floor and following it is also called "Walking the Dog", just like the achievement - nice nod
I heckin love animal well
Unless something absolutely stunning comes out this game is 1000% my indie GotY already, so so so good
Those fast travel map edits are so slick and make the gameplay transitions so good. Your editors are good!
The little subtitles at 7:49 are hilarious. Love the editing!
outer wilds reference?? noticed and appreciated.
Wait when, I missed it
15:05
@@Mix182 thanks
11:30 I had no idea you could solve the room that way. I think the intended way was to drop the chest onto the chinchilla and then get it to carry it to the second trap door.
Note that there are also 2 hidden areas up above where the chest falls down from. Not only are you meant to get up there, but there's even more puzzle to be solved in that room.
I did it also differently, chinchilla on button, then frisbee across to the trapdoor
@@Smoth48its actually one of my favourite rooms just for that
I jumped on the chinchilla head right when he fell down. Literally making things harder for myself
the secret bunnies in this game are crazy, some of them are DEEP, putting it in the least spoilery way possible one of them requires you to do something in real life from something you activate in the game
I've been told Techraptor is wrong about that one. The method you mentioned just lets you make a cool thing, and the intended solution is the other way they mention.
@@MudakTheMultiplier i might be wrong but iirc they both unlock the same bunny, i always saw the other option as a way to get it if its physically impossible to get it the first way
again i might be wrong because i cba'd to get the bunnies yet so i've only heard about it
@@a-very-uncreative-handle yeah there are 2 ways to get the bunny to appear. Activate the thing to make your thing do the thing then you can do the thing that gives you the solution. or you can find the solution encoded somewhere else - it still requires you to interact with the game through a very IRL lens to decode though.
For anyone who saw the bubble jump and is now trying it, there's (in my opinion) a slightly easier technique than Tyler was using. You can shoot a new bubble BEFORE jumping off the existing bubble. The existing bubble sticks around for a short time, giving you time to jump off it onto the new one. The timing felt a lot easier as you can just roll your thumb from the bubble button right onto the jump button. Not sure how easy that is on keyboard but I'd recommend it for people using a controller.
You can just press jump and bubble at the same time, it makes the technique super easy
Absolutely fell in love with the game, thanks to Tyler.
The magical moment was misremembering how he played it, and going in the completely other way, unlocking the bubble staff as my first real item. The amount of thought and love the dev put into AW is absurd and I adore every second of it
I've been thinking about this all week, one of my new favorite games played by one of my favorite youtubers! You always put out great stuff and I always look forward to it!
Wait till he finds about the wing dings,
He doesn’t truly know how deep the well goes
This game gives me can of worm hole vibes and I love it
Yes
5:10
It's "Normal" as in "Normal Map", the thing you use to make textures look 3D. God, the wordplay is amazing.
Spiky dude is an interesting name for a hedgehog.
5:09 when Tyler finds the "normal" egg, The color of the egg resembles a fundamental part of 3D shader design called a Normal Map
I see it so often in my work it thought that he would comment on it, but when he continued I realized how obscure of a joke it really is and just laughed so hard to myself.
This series already has me reeled in, can’t wait to see the end of the game!
Your gonna be waiting for a long while he he is going for 100%
I really like that this game have a lot of interactions
This is actually my FAAVORITE series on UA-cam it YEARS.
I love this series so much. I need moooore. Fr great work from the team, the editing is on point and tyler just doing his thing like we all love it
22:00I like how Tyler insists on using 4 different things instead of just the yoyo
You have to press them simultaneously though, not one after the other, and unfortunately the yoyo can't occupy 4 spots at once
@@Kogarana1 maybe they stay held for long enough?
@@benismann Do they? How fast can you swing your yoyo in this game?
Pretty sure yo-yo is the intended solution. I just stood on the left switch, faced right, threw my yo-yo without any directional inputs and it just hit the remaining switches in an anti-clockwise motion
11:45 my first though was to get the chinchilla under the chest, drop it on him then have him carry it to you.
Its so interesting how the order in which you get the key items changes how you play. I got the disk last & the b.wand first, so my traversal to this point in the game was very different haha
I started playing Animal Well over this last weekend, what an incredible game! Really looking forward to watching more of you playing this series!
3:20 My man got the bunny without even getting the upgraded wand first, truly a god among gamers.
2:40 your editors have had far to much fun with the montage!
and the sharpness in the spike right after
@@rojandyyyyyyyyy yeah that edit was CLEANNNN
Oh nice, he figured out some speedrun tech!
_sees room_
Oh crud, he's trying to use it to sequence break a postgame challenge.
Oh boy. Two minutes into the video and Tyler's discovered new game breaking tech. I wonder of bubble chaining is intentional or if there's a different powerup that is the intended solution in which case Tyler just found an exploit. I guess the only way to know for certain is to see this game through to the end to find out if a different powerup exists. Either way, chaining bubble jumps for infinite height is very overpowered. Between this and frisbee jumps, you have infinite vertical and infinite horizontal movement. That's insanely powerful in a platformer. Even if chaining bubble jumps is difficult to pull off.
i don’t think that one puzzle room is doable without it but hey i’m only watching like you!
has to be completely intentional. i won't spoil whether a different powerup exists or not, but this infinite bubble jump thing is so easy to pull off all of my friends figured it out quite quickly. just press three buttons at the same time, done.
Im 99% sure every interaction in this game is intentional.
Whoever is working on these videos needs a raise, these edits are overflowing with effort and creativity
I beat enough of the game where I can continue watching this without being spoiled. This is such a fun game
💯 the game👌🏻 . Tyler is still at the tip of the iceberg & I hope he meets Mr 'Roo soon
I've been comparing my route and routes of some others going through this game... But Tyler's got that dawg in him, moon logic aplenty. Truly, he's from an alien rock
Im loving this series so much!So amazing and creative, an innovation in puzzle games for sure
A new Animal Well video is the best thing ever
Scaring the chinchilla with a firecracker feels like such a betrayal D:
the frame of "It happend one night"❤
The items in this game are impressively creative
The joy it brought me when Tyler hit that red button and got jumped by all the crows 😂
I love this game. The editing and Tyler's commentary is awesome too
this is really cool to see you plays a not pure puzzle game more of a mix
22:20 I swear, everyone sees this room and thinks "Ah, I've gotta do 4 things!"
...when you can use ***ONLY THE YOYO*** and hit all the buttons...
It looked and felt so damn cool tho!!
Great game design, every single encounter feels so natural.
15:08 looks like there could be something in the ceiling of this room.
I was watching the superedit of The Room 3 but I had to stop and come watch the new Animal Well video I can't get enough of this game keep up the good work.
You did a good job of convincing me to get this game next time it goes on sale
24:47 hey it's a pretty duck picture
These are so good!!
You know, I bet there is an achievement for the green chameleon room you can get from having it eat all of the grass. Perhaps you'll also get an egg...
The rooms hidden in small spaces and all the secret passage ways remind me of some default 2d game I played on some old nokia or samsung phone with buttons, it was a very long time ago.
I love this series!
Man I could watch tyler play this game all day
5:09 oh my God it's normals
you should start putting chapters in the video so we can skip past the previously section, for those who just watched the last one
this is such an incredible game, art is fantastic. glad to see gamer enjoying playing :)
Well this is a nice surprise, i literally just watched your first three videos about 2 mins before you released this one.
Oh god that secret skill room brings back nightmares of that one warp zone in super meat boy to unlock the guy
Hell yeah more animal well!!
I love all your outer wilds references. Wish I could have seen you play it.
15:07 OH MY GOD YOU ARE MY BEST FRIEND NOW. NOBODY I TALK TO KNOWS WHAT THAT GAME IS
HE FIGURED OUT BUBBLE JUMPING
I love how it’s not even slinky just s l i n k
What we naming the meatball.
Put suggestions replies I’ll go first, Matthew
"Well"
Because hes the animal Well.

21:14 Did he just walk past a telephone... without saving?
I thought this was the START of this series damn-
But thr bubbles are cute lmfao
the great egg was so hard for me to get with just bubbles
1:59 Jesus Crist... he's Jason Borne
Everyone gangsta till animal well becomes animal farm
Literally Animal Well by George Orfarm
26:49 Chameleon Battle Advanced?
22:11 only the mist complicated solutions are allowed
Eggselent eggsploring!!
OH MY GOD YOU NEED TO GO DOWN IN THE FAST TRAVEL HUB
4:40 bypasses room with new tech instead of bypassing entire screen with yo-yo lol
For you to know the birds are an anti-bubble cheese so because some puzzles are vertical thus can be cheesed with it
24:46 did Tyler really not notice the duck/rabbit optical illusion in the background? I feel like out of all people, he would see it. Maybe his puzzle brain just ignored it in favor of the chinchilla.
I would really recommend you play this game with a controller. Makes it so much mor fun. Especially bubble jumping everywhere.
There is soooo much you haven’t found. Whole different level to the game…
I NEED MORE
22:20 he solved it…. But at what cost….
I love the slinker
The fact he keeps freaking dying for no good reason
13:42
Laissez-faire means leave alone, or leave be in french
Apparently it's also an English word, according to my English keyboard run by Google
This kind of reminds me of Lamulana
The Chameleons, btw, are shooting blood from a duct in their eyes.
It's a real behavior seen in one chameleon species. It's their 'get off me' move.
You are now also cursed with this knowledge, you're welcome!
Bro people make this game look so easy. I bought and instantly find it so hard.
1: youtuber plays videogames all day everyday for a living, they tend to be better than the average player
2: with editing you can make anything seem like much easier than it probably was (for example the bubble jump spike room we only got to see the deaths, not the actual tries it took to get there)
3: positive mentality can help with difficulty aloott. If you get frustrated at something not going your way, things will start not going your way more and more often. If you accept that its a game and things can go wrong, games become alot easier. Puzzle games and frustration go together like a pepper and fire, if you eat the pepper (puzzle game) on its own it can be tasty, if a bit spicy (challenging), but if you try and eat it with fire (frustration), well obviously youll only get burned and youll lose out on the spicy goodness you wouldve gotten otherwise.
Have a nice day, and good luck on your gaming journey!!
:D
@@jc_art_ thanks 🙏🏽. Yeah I realised that the fact that it was challenging for me was actually a good thing not a bad thing. I’ve been playing more and been getting better. Sometimes we expect to get things on the first try but that’s just delusional. It just takes a little practice and what seemed hard at first seems easy.
@@tigdakid im really glad that happened for you!! Alot of people (me included) will give up if something gets too hard, but overcoming that challenge is the fun of *alot* of games.
i love you so much
18:44 Hm, is there something about the pattern of those 8-way birds? Or... those birds in the previous room? Or the next? The previous room looks like words. (I have not played this game, I'm following Tyler's progress, just noticing things organically, and I might note them if he misses them in the end)
interesting observation... I wonder if anything else goes 8-ways?
