    Thanks for your Q&As - they're very informative and to the point.
    Couple of question which I hope you may be able to answer:
    1) Women joining the Marines: What do you and other current Marines think?
    2) Could you share more of your 'coming out' experience/being gay in the RMs?

    Quick question, I recently got bad symptoms of shin splints and haven’t been running for the last 3 weeks to rest and ensure I recover before it gets too bad and I know I shouldn’t lie on the medical questionnaire but I really don’t want to be TMU due to having a ‘lower limb’ injury as I will be more than physically ready by the time I start training until after I’ve done my A level exams in a years time and a quarter, do you think I should still mention it in my interview??

      Have you been to the doctor about it? If not then I wouldn't bother.
      You just need to makes sure your 100% better before starting training as you will end up in Hunter fairly quickly if you go down there with an injury.

    Do you need to be PRMC fit before you start your application?

    Is there much opportunity to pursue other qualifications in the marines? One of the things putting me off applying is that when I leave the marines I'll have no decent qualifications or trades so i won't be able to find work

      Most of the trades you will get recognised qualifications for some like signals you can do up to degree level. Each each year you also get learning credits which is money towards any courses that you want to do. There is also options to re do maths or English gcse's if you didn't get above a c and also options to do a levels if you want to. I'm currently working with a corporal who will be doing a mental health degree whilst still in the marines. You have to be pro active with it tho as no one will force you to do anything. A lot of the time people that say they left with nothing are the ones who sat in their rooms every night playing COD.

    hey mate, don’t know if you will see this but I an increasingly concerned about the NSRT, as I am terrible at Maths, any suggestions?

      There are a practice one on the navy website. Just type it in to Google and the link to it should be on there. Bbc bitesize revision is a good way to start. I'm terrible at maths and I passed it.

      @@gay_commando1611 Sorry to ask again, but do you know if a lot of Mountain Leaders get into SBS? And can you be a Mountain Leader in 43/47 Commando. Cheers man 👍

      @@observer3468 not a lot of MLs do they normally chose ML over sbs. They normally call ML married man's sf becuse you generally don't go away much. There might be an option to go to 43 or 47 but not much. 47 will mostly be landing craft and 43 gd.

    Is it true that the lads have to sleep naked during basic or is it at the discretion of the training team?

    • @gay_commando1611
      @gay_commando1611  4 роки тому +1

      A lot of the stuff on that show is for entertainment. You occasionally get a mental drill leader that will tell you to sleep naked but it will proberly only be for the first 2 weeks if atall. I mean if you want to go in the marines there a lot bigger things to be thinking about than sleeping naked. Plus now there are females in training its very unlikely you will have to any more.

      @@gay_commando1611 That's reassuring! Boxers and topless is the norm for me, assume that would be acceptable then.
