Only F80 I’d buy is a CS. They feel so much better than standard F80s / Comp packages. The hood, steering wheel, armrest delete, single zone climate, wheels, etc. Not worth $100+k, but definitely worth the ~$60k they’re going for on the used market.
in my 2019 M2C, I can put the accessory power on and then turn the car into Sports Plus and the valves are open. You can tell because the note changes if your'e going into either reverse or drive.
I beg to differ that it’s the rarest one making 1200 world wide as they only made 500 world wide of the jahre edition with 150 in USA and only 30 in the UK
I'm a true F80 M3 enthusiast and love everything about what the car gives you but for the price of 100k, I cant help but think I should be driving a 991.1 911S. Mildly used.
That would have been cool to see. Unfortunately I think the customers rather prefer the illusion of hardcore and light than to sacrifice too many comforts for a couple dozen pounds saved.
@@EddieX Probably. They would have to make it ultra limited and raise the price to gain attention. And yeah, the size of todays car's is the main factor of their weight honestly
@@gt1r The thing is, it should not be a luxury car. Luxury does not equal sport and 66 lbs in savings is nothing. The M3 CSL vs M3 E46 differed by about 410 lbs, then we are talking. F430 vs 430 Scud, about 250 lbs, 911 Turbo vs GT3 RS = 400 lbs and so on..
Snuepe I just think it would be tough to take 400lbs out of an F80. A cloth interior wouldn’t make a difference...the weight difference between leather and cloth is pretty negligible. F80 already has CF roof, CF driveshaft, and the CS took it to another level with CF hood, lighter weight wheels, single zone manual climate, no arm-wrest, etc etc. In order to take 400lbs out you’d need to strip the car of AC, iDrive, etc etc - which just wouldn’t sell in the modern day. At the end of the day we just have to except the fact that the F80 is a beefy, heavy car to begin with. That’s why I bought an E90 M3.
I don’t see the point of driving an M3cs without Cup 2 tires. I had an M3 comp for 3 years and used nothing but Cup 2s on it. The torque really wants to break the tires loose and the CS has about 40 lb/ft more than the comp.
Tune that cs with bm3 stage 2 and Thor dct gts and dynamics package gts it’ll be a beast lol. That’s what I have installed in mine but I’m just base f80.
It seems like BMW has no clue what direction to go with their fleet. The instrument cluster is a decade old and it doesn't seem to be much of a driver's car. Great video! always fun to watch.
A little pricey but you gotta pay to play. A couple of guys down below are confused. They are comparing this against a Porsche. The M3 is a sedan for crying out loud.
Great video Eddie. In my opinion, the M3 CS is equivalent to the E36 M3 LTW. Completely useless and absolutely does not warrant the upcharge. I get it, it's for bragging rights but that's about it.
Hahahaha. Must have been lighting angles and the color grading filter I threw on this video. I've been getting some sun but don't think my tan is localized
Beautiful car but not worth a 100k. Honestly no one should pay more than 40-50k for an item that depreciates. “Value is determined by what the majority is willing to pay for it”
High mileage is still upper 50k. Clean accident free low mileage are 65k+. M4CS is 10k-15k cheaper than M3CS. You have to look to see if they are real CS. A lot of them are base or competition advertised as CS.
Absolutely not worth it, for that money you can get a M5, which is faster and more comfortable, and sounds better. For track you can get a base 911 and it will beat this car 10 out of 10 times.
Many may not agree with me but the F80 generation of the M3 is my favorite.
Same
I’m your side brother! ☀️🚗
Same
I totally agree bro
Best styling of any m3 for sure. However, best engine definitely goes to e9x gen

These are being sold for 80k now. At that price it’s a no brainer. Best M3 imo. Just wish they add more color options for the seat
That Goofy laugh at 6:30 absolutely killed me
And then you turn into Mickey at 8:31
i thought i was the only one LOL
Jasper Lam it caught me so off guard, I didn’t expect to hear Eddie make those sounds at all
Hahahahaha
Hah had to rewatch it
Earlier this year these were leasing for 700 with 0 cap cost. No way I'd pay 100k+.
The germans will never underestimate the cold, everyone knows that, thus the heated seats are a must.
Carbon fiber roof is standard on both base models m3 and m4. Good review.
Correct. But I think many get sun roofs which deletes it!
@@EddieX those are the ones I avoided when buying my m3! It is an optional extra to get the sunroof.
Idfc how special this is. For 110k ill gladly take the m5. Thank u
Forreal
one of the very concise, to the point review of M3 CS. Also you do a wonderful job with your editing.
Thank you!
I felt cs have much more feel than zcp and standard. for the used price at now pretty good bargain.
Agreed!
70k used
I thought the top dog M3 is the CSL and GTS? The CS slots above the regular M and M Competition, but below the CSL and GTS.
I've found that a lot of M3 CS listings online end up being Competitions instead
Same its super weird.
My god I can't stop admiring it !!!!!!

Yes, same here. A porsche is better. At 110K I would have sprung more to get a lightly used GT3 instead.
"$100,000 for an M3 is a lot of money". 2 years later every M3 base is $100,000 Q_Q
Good video 🔥🔥
Not to mention leather EVERYWHERE. Leather is heavy. They should just make these things like the M3 CSL, Light, Bare, Hardcore.
This is a Club Sport. CSL is Club Sport Lightweight. The CS is pretty stripped down for a modern day luxury car.

I don't get the part with taking stuff out of the car and then making it more expensive :/
Do we talk about how good this video is ?
You can get a brand new M550i for 80k. With 523hp they're fun to drive too.
Yeah! I spent a week with an M850i with the same powertrain and I liked it
Its a lot heavier than the M3
I just don't see the value that they "were" asking for these. An M4 GTS would have a better chance of being a collector than a CS.
The M3 f80 is a done deal, n will be My very first car in BMW some day
How much does a center console even weigh? I feel like removing that is negligible in terms of weight savings.
New m3 with a flash will be 10 second car. :)
Tune that cs with bm3 stage 2 and Thor dct gts and dynamics package gts it’ll be a beast lol. That’s what I have installed in mine but I’m just base f80.
Just imagine a light accident where that bonnet needs work on it… really expensive.. 😢
Eddie what are your impressions of the M3 CS compared to the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio?
Great job Eddie!
It seems like BMW has no clue what direction to go with their fleet. The instrument cluster is a decade old and it doesn't seem to be much of a driver's car. Great video! always fun to watch.
The guy that made the e46 and e36 and so on got fired from manufacturing bmw now the new models aren’t as good
1:34 BMW says: BMW --> Bitte Mit Wucht (German)! Translated this means: Please with force , Please with Power :-)
What is the point of having the grille painted M colors when the car is covered in M logos inside and out?
A little pricey but you gotta pay to play. A couple of guys down below are confused. They are comparing this against a Porsche. The M3 is a sedan for crying out loud.
Value drops so fast, buying new bmw is bad financially
I see you pretty much smiling when flooring it. 😁
Correct me if I’m wrong but my impression was that the M3 CS was slotted in between the comp pack and the GTS. Great review nonetheless!
It is between the Competition and GTS for the M4, but there was no GTS M3 for this generation.
You are absolute right! I didn’t catch myself eating my words in time. Thanks for clarifying
I want to see m3 cs vs Giulia QV
In my opinion they should’ve just put some proper racing seats in there
That front grill M tri-stripe is what ricers put on their non M grills 🤣
that was funny! ha ha ha Good one!
Agree...not a fan. Otherwise, great car
Way better than the new m3 (2021)
If only they had hydraulic power steering. A little less power trade-off for sublime feel and handling is worth it IMHO as a true driver's car.
The man who used to review with Parker is this dude
Great video Eddie. In my opinion, the M3 CS is equivalent to the E36 M3 LTW. Completely useless and absolutely does not warrant the upcharge. I get it, it's for bragging rights but that's about it.
Drive a CS side by side to a Comp Pack down your favourite back road and you’ll see where the money is spent...
F it. When the valves are open, after driving, pull the 2 cords under the rear bumper by the muffler that control the valves and do a cold start lol
No way worth 100k.. just insane.. can get standard m3 comp for like 700 a month.. nuts
Did you get a tan only on your forehead?
What
@@EddieX The forehead tan looks great, man! Rock it.
EddieX possibly just the lighting then , it seems your forehead is several shades darker than your face. Anyways great review lol
Hahahaha. Must have been lighting angles and the color grading filter I threw on this video. I've been getting some sun but don't think my tan is localized
When he answered you back with "what" killed me.
Most expensive, track focused, rarest... wouldn’t that go to the m4 gts and not the cs version?
Of the m3.
Heatet seats are not heavy.
Elektric seats are heavy.
So better you'd choosen without 😉
I can't get past the horrid exhaust, after market or not. It does drive and perform well!
Beautiful car but not worth a 100k. Honestly no one should pay more than 40-50k for an item that depreciates. “Value is determined by what the majority is willing to pay for it”
100k before 2021!
Good review except that M4CS looks better than M3CS
Would take a c63 over this any day.
Still love the W204.
Great in a straight line, but get to a set of corners and the CS would eat the a C63 alive.
Is it worth it??? Not a chance!!! Its a fucken car!!!
I hate that its a 4door
I think $85-90k is the sweet spot. Not worth over 100k get something else .
Nice, but not 100k nice. That money can go a long way shopping elsewhere.
7:53 - chiro is not real - fake news
These cars are monsters especially tuned like mine😏
No center arm rest...deal breaker.
Only 500 of the 30 jahre edition so not most rare
Now this car is 50k
High mileage is still upper 50k. Clean accident free low mileage are 65k+. M4CS is 10k-15k cheaper than M3CS. You have to look to see if they are real CS. A lot of them are base or competition advertised as CS.
@@user-nifinei34jd9how to check if they are a real cs
roof is hideous
F80 is in my opinion is the best looking M3 made.
German cars are lightyears ahead!!!
No.
What yall prefer m3 or m4
It was worth until now ....
Car isn’t worth anything more than 60k brand new might as well get a g80
Just get a RS3 ABT package and that produces 470HP
The interior is very dated for an expensive car.
Def overpriced for BMW
No lol
Absolutely not worth it, for that money you can get a M5, which is faster and more comfortable, and sounds better. For track you can get a base 911 and it will beat this car 10 out of 10 times.
yeah ok , and worth $15,000 in four years
Hahahaha. That would mean $65k depreciation in the next 2 years. In which case I'll buy 3 😂😂😂
