A one-angle version of this was uploaded to Dave's channel already, but when I found a second angle I had to re-edit and re-post! 😅💚
hey brentalfloss, where’d you get that megaman shirt? ;)
Thank you for doing so! Needed a good smile today
Thanks man! you rock.
I just thank you for letting me watch this again
When was this and why did I miss it.
Also, if you don't make a Pokemon Sword and Shield version I'll make it myself.
Still the Bohemian Rhapsody of video game songs
Despite the fact he already made a Bohemian Rhapsody parody with Pat the NES Punk.

Definitely
Ironic that Link really cares which way the wind blows
God even after all these years I still know this word for word
Same I think it has to do something with how memorable Zelda songs are.
I can still do both Dave and Brent's parts on the same time battle
Same here brother
I haven't seen anyone commenting about this, so here we go:
This was a great example on how to adapt a video into live choreography.
*The "Dave is in the audience" thing.
*"The walking around to the other side of the stage" thing.
*"The mic in a revolver standoff" thing.
*The t-shirt thing.
Brentalfloss is a master (sword) of choreography.
Dude! MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!
Also "don't diss ocarina at a gaming con"
Dang I remember watching this a few years ago. Managing to do this live is seriously impressive, amazing job to both of you.
heh... neat
Mayro :O
Hi Mayro 👋
And with us having only found enough time for a single rehearsal in my living room a few days earlier and another in my car half an hour before the show!
@@DemonTomatoDave DAVE :O
Brent: "This was, uh, this was quite an elaborate argument."
Dave: "Yeah, especially that last bit, where we were all singing at the same time."
That gets me every time.
Gotta say, it's pretty clever to have him playing the 3DS version
It is, except for when he talks about the bad graphics, which no longer makes sense now that he’s playing the graphically improved version
@@Tiggster-qr8mw Well, that's debatable. I like OOT 3D's visuals well enough, but I still vastly prefer the art style of the N64 version.
@@Jordan3DS It isn't. You can prefer the original visuals, I have a soft spot for the grass and the intro. But the 3DS's models are superior, more refined, less blocky, etc. and the textures are WAY less blurry than in the n64 version.
@@martinrusso409 It's all about art style, though, and the style of the original looks better. You can make Ocarina of Time in 4k 120 FPS but if the art style is worse than the N64 version will still look better. Art style > graphical horsepower
@@Jordan3DS No it isn't. You are giving your opinion. You absolutely failed to understand my comment. The polys in the 3ds version are better, less blocky as I said. If you think the shittier graphics of the N64 are better it's an opinion. Same goes for the textures.
I will never not be amazed at the fact that Dave had no live singing experience before this event.
I didn't know that ! When I heard the original version I thought "this guy must have lots of practice in a choir or something".
I hate to be the "um actually" guy but you're thinking of the Super Mario Land performance in 2013. Two years before this one. (it was at the same convention though)
@@AkumaKristian Haha, I appreciate it! It's still impressive as hell!
@@jonassholmberg8071 Oh yes of course. I've actually had the chance to see one of his solo shows. He's on par with Brent for getting the crowd pumped up.
@@AkumaKristian true
I bet everyone that was in the crowd's life is now complete.
Same the audience sounded like they were having a lot of fun as they were actually clapping along with the clapping in the song and chanting fight at the insults part of the song like it was a wwe match
I was there and I can confirm. Life has been downhill ever since.
Jokes aside, it was a pretty fun con. This and Dave's show were the highlights.
Ya this was the best thing about Alcon.
As the person who supplied the other POV used at times in this from the side, yes I can confirm.
If its the year I think it was, then it fefinatelybwas after his compliments of my singing then this! 🥰🥰
I love that as Brent sings “I liked Zelda more before the 64…” Dave shouts “Get off!”
A genuinely incredible display of writing and singing talent that you can enjoy no matter how you feel about Ocarina - you either relate to and root for one, or laugh at how absurd it is then cry at how accurate it is.
“This is just a prop, don’t smoke” haha
we totally need a new collab with Dave. i loved them so much
Having this pop up again on my feed is giving me some nostalgia overload. Was amazing being at this show and I miss those years and I hope to maybe one day see you at a UK based show again in the future.
As one wise commenter once said “Here we have it the Bohemian Rhapsody of video game parodies”
Isn't that Nintendohemian Rhapsody though? :)
To this day, this is one of my daughter's favorite songs. I don't know why she loves it so much, but it's awesome.
Brent: shows his T-shirt
Dave: and he was so ugly, every body died
"Oh, they're not that threatening..."
(audience member immediately raises fist)
1:39 - That desync between Dave's lines and the music sounded genuinely magnificent. Something about the delivery was just so... Compelling.
The music video is one of my favorite of all time. I’d love to see a 3rd duet with y’all
Tell Dave we're still waiting for the fifth part of the analysis!
He hates it _so much_ when people ask him about that. The joke is that the video gets delayed like a couple of months every times someone mentions it - so I wouldn't hold my breath.
But I mean, seriously though, we've got to see part five some time, right?
@@mac5565 oh. So it'll never come out...
Lol, what actually happened to that.
Hell yeah. Often this song gets stuck in my head.
Spoiler:
I wish you didn't cut out the part when you who's beer that was.
Guy: that was my beer.
Brent: well now it's our beer.
That killed me, wish you kept that in. Still an awesome video regardless
Yeah..... that was my beer lol
legendary moment
This made me so happy to watch. I love the "Les Mirerablés"-ness of this song.
This just gave me a huge kick in the nostalgia
I still listen to this song occasionally to this day, 5 years later
This was the first con I ever attended, and this part was amazing! God the nostalgia
This was bloody brilliant, seen the original hundreds of times, but only just found this treasure
GG to all involved
That "whatever" from backstage killed me.
The Zeldas Lullaby to Kakariko* Village transition, and the entire bridge in Gerudo Valley were strokes of creative genius.
Don't want to be that guy, but it's actually Zelda's Lullaby to Kakariko Village. Dave got the two tracks mixed up, since they're both from A Link to the Past, and when he realized, it sounded good, so it was kept.
@@mewdedenne911
Thanks for the correction man, that's what I actually meant. I just got my song titles mixed up.
Shameless plug, but while you're here, check out my cover of Kakariko village 😉
@@SeanLaMontagne Will do!
Wow, you're really good! That sounded amazing!
This song is a legend, even my parents & my uncle like it xD ♡
I wish so much, I were on this con! 🌟
Man that confrontation bit where you're singing at the same time is amazing to me.
you two gave me goosebumps !
Please come to France I want to see this for real !
If that was someone's else's beer they can always remember Brentalfloss took a drink from their beer
i’d be honored
Of all the songs this one is my favorite. I'm glad you posted the live video.
After all this years, it's still an awesome song. I fondly look back to a comment stream I had with another commentator, "singing" this song and "super mario land". Good times.
Let's all pretend that we didn't see basically the same video from Dave's channel five years ago
I rewatch it so many times that one more time is fine.
yeah but this has ANOTHER ANGLE! and TEXT-BASED COMMENTARY!
i love coming back to this
amazing, I cant believe you both pulled the overlapping duet off without a hitch.
Yeah, what the hell? We made mistakes on other bits, but that bit came out like it was natural! I don't know how.
DemonTomatoDave pretty awesome. You guys are really talented :)
In 2024 still jamming this song from when I was literally 14 😂
This is the best live action video game adaptation.
This will always be my favorite song of his
You can tell Dave is going all out in their back and fourth argument towards the end
“This makes my eyeballs sore”
Well that line doesn’t work as well since he’s talking about the visually improved 3DS version in this performance
This feels like two dudes just hanging out and we all are just observing
Ahhh, Dave postet this 5 years ago. I thought you did but now it's true. Awesome 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I shared this on the NVC FB group when they were fighting about Ocarina vs Mario 64 last weekend. Happy Dave’s live version made it on your channel. Thanks Brent.
brent, you are the best! I am following you since 2011. You never cease to amaze me! Keep it up!
One of my favorites. Glad to see it again!
I keep waiting for another collab between them.
I love how much more confident Dave was during this than the Mario live one, both amazing performances but this one he really shines and it's great to see the contrast.
I remember seeing this video when it first came out on Dave's channel. Such a great performance
the showmanship is just as amazing in person, never stop brent.
this song is allwwaayysss in my head!! love it 💗
Words cannot describe how happy this video makes me. I wish I could've been there live. Please do this again sometime, because this fills me with glee.
Love these videos, brings back memories
This is amazing, love both versions of the song. As always, keep up the good work.
I feel bad that I can hear me singing along to this. Great song, awesome seeing this live
This is just a reupload of the same video that has been on DemonTomatoDave’s channel for 5 years now
I haven't seen it so it's new to me
Different angles
I mean...DemonTomatoDave is literally Dave Bulmer, the other guy. Also iirc Brent announced that it will be a reupload so I don't see the problem. I haven't seen this as well either and while I loved the original I would have prefered something new.
Hey dude I’m on Twitter I am not a goodwill or so much to get a
Yeah, new angles, some notes on screen. I consider it a different video.
The shirts are very clever, I must say. I know Dave uploaded a single cam version of this a while back but I appreciate the edits!
Real Talk here... OoT was the first Zelda game that I was able to beat. I think it was a combination of being old enough to care combined with having developed enough actual gaming skill and puzzle solving (and yeah, reading). I’m 37 now, so when it came out (1998), I was 16. (I was 10 in 1992 when Link to the Past came out, reading was still slow and I got to Agahnim, but never past him) and it wasn’t until after OoT that I went back and finally beat Link’s Awakening (93).
Had I not beaten OoT, I probably would think of Zelda games the same way I think about Metroid games, cool stories, but not games that I’m really into, but having beaten it, I was basically hooked and went back through the whole mainline catalog beating as many games as I could. Thankfully, having done so also richly enhanced my life with Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild, 2 of my favorite games of all time.
I was at that convention 😅 it was lovely meeting Brent he was so chill!
I remember watching this on Dave's channel years ago.
Wow just wow 2015 5 years ago still going at it strong great job on this live performance Brent
This channel's underrated. I love these songs.
this is such an awesome ass song
One day I hope to see you in person and shake your hand. I love your songs
i just got the biggest wave of nostalgia and a new found appreciation for how good this is. also this gives me les mis vibes. well done brent!!
This still is one of my favorites.
Great performance, guys! I hope you and Dave do more songs together in the future. :)
Dang man, I forgot how freaking long this song is! It's like MacArthur Park by Glen Campbell it's an absolute beautiful beast! Getting not sober before watching this was definitely the move, excellently done, such a great song and a great performance, thank you.
P.S. Is it just me or does Dave look like dang John Denver with that haircut... Nah, he probably gets that a lot, I'd be a bit surprised if he didn't actually now that I really think about it... Yeh... Yeh.... Yeh.....
You're welcome back in Leicester any time, Brent.
Probably the best With Lyrics song imo.
THE MAN IS BACK LETSS GOO
*happy not so veteran but still been here quite a while noises*
Dave yelling "GET OFF!" always tickles my funny bone, no matter how many times I hear it.
This makes me ponder the potential for a live album if you ever recorded from the soundboard or something!
Glad to see this live. This is great
Cuantas memorias.
Te sigo desde tus inicios Brent, ya mas de 11 años viendo tus videos....
Gracias por volver.
You guys should keep singing together, you mix so well, I loved this song since I saw the notification on my phone that Christmas
Man, you guys have come so far since that small little game lyric channel I remember. I love you guys!
Man, I love this! Listened to this a few hundred times. Thank you for it!
Perfect!!!
I love and enjoy this so much. Brent and Dave with so much talent and charisma.
Godaaaaamn. This brings back memories of that year at alcon. Genuinely beautiful live and brent is a proper chill guy too
Fantastic performance! I have watched the original video so many times, it is incredible. I hope you two do more vids together sometime soon!
"where to start and whats the goal? its games as art that touch the soul" As a game designer (shitty as it may be) this line has inspired me since the first release of this song way back when
EDIT: I mean my game is shitty not the song. the song is and always will be amazing!
I like this.
You both had amazing performances! Would have loved to see it live!
Listened to the Video about 5 Times yesterday. Perfect Timing, Brent!
This is wonderful!!!! Singing this live is a Marathon endeavor! Well done both of you.
So cool
I thought there was already an upload of this years ago, however this seems different than the other live one I remember seeing years ago. Oh now I realized where I saw it once I heard your explanation at the end screen
Always loved this one
This song never gets old!
One of my favorites, a classic.
Still a banger
iconic moment that is loved by many across the world
Amazing performance, love it Brent & Dave!
