    What tool did you use to remove those plastic body clips?

      A combination of MMTL-PCPL (Mishimoto Panel Clip Pliers) and MMTL-TRM-11 (Mishimoto Trim Removal Tool Set). Thanks!

      @@mishimoto directly in the cooler before install?

      You can add fluid through the normal process after installation. You do not need to add this to the cooler before installation.

      @@mishimoto could it be added to the trans cooler itself though? Long story short previous owner made it not possible through top of trans. Would it be fine adding through trans cooler line or adding to cooler before install?

      Yep, but it is suggested to find a way to check the levels.

      @mishimoto so nothing for the 10R80? I just purchased your intercooler kit and wanted more products. The all aluminum radiator is next.

    How much cooler will this transmision cooler be? I tow a full size bass boat I've see temps up to 212 degrees.

      There are many variables to consider so we aren't able to provide you with an exact number with your unique situation. However, we would invite you to check out the Engineering blog posts listed within the "Engineering" section on the product page. Thanks!

      The transmission fluid/transmissions is these trucks are designed to have 195-200 degrees be the normal operating temperature, so if 212 is the max you are seeing that isn't bad, I occasionally see 210 with my truck empty.

    Do you need to drain transmission fluid before changing the transmission cooler?

    • @mishimoto
      @mishimoto  3 роки тому

      THe transmission does not need to be drained. The oily fluid that should be lost is what might have been in the lines when removing the old cooler.

      Sounds good. Didn't know if there was any residual fluid or if the whole system was full. Thanks for the reply.
