you guys are insane... i just bought one of these and its amazing... i even chose it over a lexus is350... what it lacks in looks and power, it makes up in comfort and technology... and the look, well, it speaks for itself, its a mean looking car...

I just got 34.8 MPG on my last shore trip. I average 26.8 MPG. You must have a really heavy foot on that gas pedal. Either that or you are taking lots of short runs to McDonald's. And WTF are you talking about the styling? It's awesome. It drives like a dream, and can really move when it has to. You calling the car MASSIVE in front made me laugh. You should have seen my 1973 Dodge Charger!
I am 50 and just picked mine up and love it. I got the Maxima for its looks both outside and inside. AWD would just add weight.

I bought one for my wife a platinum edition the cars amazing performance, it handles beautifully, and it has power like no other, plus the 300 horsepower V6 plus I understand you can do an upgrade on the computer and get some more horses out of the car, It has maximum leverage over a lot of cars in its class, plus you get more features for a fantastic price, where in other models in this class you have to pay extra, can't go wrong with the car. this will be my third Maxima
How is the vibration on this and the Navigation system?
qari almukhtar you do not feel any vibration on this car I've driven a Cadillac as well and the vibration on this car is far to none as for the navigation it's awesome you pretty much dial and wherever you want to go and direct you to get there the graphics on it is great,the car all the way around is perfect I took a drive to California about a thousand I was cruising between 100 and 120 miles an hour with no problem at all I even had more acceleration to go to car handles great, you'll have to test drive it to get the exact feel of it if I advise get the Platinum, it's the top of the line, you get all the bells and whistles mine was 43.000 list I picked it up 34.000 a lot of room for negotiation,so negotiate.
I sat in the Maxima during the International Auto Show, pretty comfortable for a driver
2.0 Lyf Pop you will not go wrong if you buy one of these Maximas the options, the ride the performance it's unbelievable the car speaks for itself, make the deal on one of these cars, there's room for negotiation, put it this way my wife's car listed at $43, 900 it has every option in though but you can possibly get on the car we walked out the door, 34. 500, but remember it was a 2016. good luck and happy driving you will enjoy your car, one other thing my wife and I took a ride down to California to San Diego and this car cruise that 110 miles an hour with no problem at all and I still had more acceleration to go the ride was smooth I didn't even feel that we're going 110.

+Jonathan Haddad They aren't in the same class. This is bigger and heavier than the Mazda 3. Both good cars in their own right.

This review is not fair. You bash on the sportiness of the car, but yet did not bother to at least review the SR (sport tuned) trim.
Not a fan of these guys' reviews. This is a very negative take - rather a focus on the negatives. While it's important to list pros and cons, but this seemed very heavy on cons, even for a car with pretty much universally positive reviews.

Okay... this car is still very powerful, it looks amazing (I don't know what you're talking about by ugly😂), very, VERY comfy, but for Nissan to call this car their "4 door sports car" and then make it front wheel drive paired with a CVT... just call it your flagship luxury line like Kia does with their Cadenza, I mean even the Cadenza at least has a 6 speed auto and Kia doesn't even try to call it a "4 door sports car"

My wife and I just got a 2016 Lexus RX350. I've seen so many split opinions on how the new look is. At first, I was ok with it, but now it's growing on me. We gave up our 2014 Lexus GX460 for it. Just like my 11 yr son, I do miss the GX but looking forward to better gas mileage and now I'm able to put 87 octane in the RX.
You know full well that EPA figures are averages and not set in stone and 21.8 isn't that far off 22. Your statement about the Maxima's EPA figures being highly overrated is a bigger lie than Nissan calling the Maxima a 4 door sports car, it's just a marketing term some journalists need to get over. How do you rate your wife's 2005 Nissan Murano?
+David Blakley Exactly. A quick browse through the Maxima forums with real owners talking about fuel economy, many are getting equal or better results than the EPA numbers. Some reviewers may need to check their lead foot at the door.
another reviewer averaged 27 mpg and got well above 30 on the highway. u mustve been idling a lot...

I have a 2012 Maxima, overall a great car, but it's torque dies at high rpms, I was beaten by a cheaper mitsubishi evolution once, though not by much (lol!). Hope the Nissan guys decide to build a non-transversal, non-CVT transmission, V6 3.8 (or why not a V8 5.0?) Supercharged, AWD sedan, if they do, I'll buy. If not I swear to God, Allah and The Buddha, I will get myself a Toyota Sienna.
The back of this new Maxima car looks like an outdated Avalon or worst a Hyundai or something, it should remained as the older model (although the front looks ferocious and the silhouette beautiful). Nevertheless, it has lots of technology and decent quality interior.
I really think this is the best mid size sedan money can buy today.

No, that nose and all of the various angles on the side are absolutely ugly, well my opinion! But I rented one recently that I spied at an Avis dealer in Ft Lauderdale. What it lacks in looks, well, it definitely makes up for it in power, handling, driving comfortable and commanding presence. People around me stared at it as I zipped along I-95. You either got a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Would I buy it? If they put the skin of a Mazda on it, then yes! But couldn't handle all of those space age body angles in the long run. It is a nice driving vehicle and quiet too. It has lots of punch!
Why is everyone so down on this guy? I think he's great. If you don't, there are plenty of other channels. Or better yet, go create your own and show the world how much better you are.

I share the same views regarding this new MAXIMA. The design is a disaster. They were trying to copy MAZDA 6 but they failed miserably! Car makers should begin publishing different designs of the new model and ask customers to select the best!

Wow. Probably the worst review I've seen. It's definitely sporty. Especially for a four door large mid size car. And the bmw 3 series is junk. The 5 series is the best. Styling is one of the best in its class. It's not off balance. It looks perfectly balanced. The only thing that hurts the maxima is the transmission. If it had a traditional transmission. It would be the best mid size car period.
