Currently doing this quest on March 30th, 2020 - and there is a restriction on world hopping. Only allowed a couple before you get hit with a 20 minute log out timer. Brutal!!!! edit: found him in Catherby, at the archery/ranging shop.
Pixel Munk and suggle quest are the absolute best there videos are very short dont make u sut through dialog tell u what to say dont make u sit and wait for anything or make u walk and follow along they just it keeps the videos super short
During the final cut scene, when the two cats first enter the KBD lair and the chat box says "Are you sure this is a good idea?", DO NOT click on the "pull lever" option otherwise it ends the cut-scene and you go back to Burthorpe. I had to go all the way back to Bob to replay the cut-scene from the start. Edited for clarity.

If you have the patience, you should honestly watch that cutscene. I was pretty into the lore of this quest, so I decided to watch it, and it was pretty cool. You should definitely give it a watch if you can.

Tip: World 340! I have logged out a few times during this quest and I have always found bob at the western anvil in Varrock. Edit: I didnt like how I worded it the first time.

if you struggle with bob in varrock try burthorpe north-east corner of the warriors guild and use npc indicator typed: bob i found him 2 times there quickly after i hoped like 100 worlds in varrock where he never came
I did the same. I stood close to Gertrude's house and then used the amulet. Any direction the compass points other than West is pretty easy to find with teles
for those that dont wanna spend 20k on the nardah tely, use a dualing ring run south, buy a shanty pass, walk through travel on carpet to pollniveach, then run south to the other carpet and travel to sophanem.

I kept hopping worlds but the catspeak amulet always stayed glowing towards draynor so I tele'd, followed it. He was in the shed next to the cabbage patch for me,
Tried doing the world hop for bob at the anvils. After about 5 minutes of hopping and no luck i went to the back of draynor mansion and found him there
I have hopped 100+ worlds (still haven't found Bob) I am convinced that it would have been much faster just locating him with the amulet. but now I have hopped for so long that I feel stupid if I don't keep going, he must be here in some world right... Besides that great guide as always! -Edit: I stopped hopping worlds and located him with the amulet, it literally only took like 2-3 minutes to find him. If you don't find him after hopping 20 worlds I would recommend just searching for him with the amulet. It was super quick and easy.
That sucks that hopping didn't work for you. I had to hop about 20, but I finally got to a world where he was in the Varrock Anvil. So I can confirm that it works ... eventually.

I accidentally misclicked as bob was saying he was king of the world and somehow i got teleported out of the cutscene to burthope and lost my wily cat. When i tried talking with unferth or bob it said that I needed to get a cat to start the quest, dafuq just happened
2024 here and idk if they updated it or it was just mine but I hopped probably 50 worlds and Bob never appeared in the anvil building. I followed the direction of the cat speak amulet and it worked so much faster. Follow the arrow that lights up the cats eyes. When you go a little bit recheck the location and if you need to keep going the direction will be the same, if you need to go a different direction the eyes will light up with a different arrow. The cat is black and tiny so make sure to search thoroughly and when Bob walks the direction may change. Mine was found on the west interior wall of Falador but eventually inner by the time I made it inside the gate so be sure to keep checking the amulet. Also keep in mind ur teleport, I brought all my runes for the Varrock teleport so didn’t have to worry with the 5 recommended but if you brought 5 keep this in mind. Hope this helps ❤

rodd1997 I literally spent like an hour and a half hopping worlds and nothing. Then I FINALLY decide to just go and find Bob using the necklace and it took me 5 minutes.
Btw, not everyone’s Bob will spawn in varrock anvil no matter how many times you hop worlds, Mine was behind Burthorpe games room, my friends was on lunar isle so some of you may have to trek round rs to find him. And remember when he was because you have to go back a few times to speak to him. On runelite you can set npc up so you get a box when he’s nearby. Easy quest that takes best part of a hour.

The hopping thing never workded for me, I found bob in the fish shop in Seers Village

Another note, I hopped worlds for 5 or 10 minutes without finding him, I found it easier just to use the compass

There is no Sophanem teleport (as listed in your teleports list). He uses the Nardah teleport. Just to clarify, in case someone is trying to find one.
You can pause the video as he goes over the teleport

Have you tried finding him again using your catspeak amulet? Bob must be alive somewhere as you've not completed sequel quest yet.

If you watch the cutscene you will unlock a music track and he will offer to teleport you to unferths house

quick tip, bob can be in catherby archery shop as well. so if hes not in varrok go to catherby

the quest remake is 8 days old you probebly have made a mistake somewhere.
