🤣🤣🤣
I wont lie- Venture Bros is what brought me to Weep. Credit where it is due and all that.
I listened to the songs and found that it isnt just 'Doc Hammer's' band- the whole band has a talent and a passion I just dont feel in most mainstream music. 4 artists making f*ck1ng great music.
Seriously... its like an actually good version of Shallow Gravy.
somewhere there is a drop box with this album. We just need to wait for a hero to emerge to share it with us.
and the 6 interpretations album too, can't find that anywhere either
Fuckin god willing
……. "Feeling frail. Saving raindrops in a jar. Shaping toenails into claws. Watching neighbours sleep. Why is this the way that I've become?" … Ex - cell - ent!
This fills a hole/longing ive had for so long like a dream you had and cant remember but its always on the edge of rememberence....close your eyes put the head phones on and feet up drift away to some thing surreal.
Billy Quiz Boy and the Pops
Waiting days, and days and weeks.
Feeling frail.
Saving raindrops in a jar.
Shaving toenails into claws.
Watching neighbours sleep.
Why is this the way that I've become?
Hating what I have become.
And I've seen all your perfect dreams you're drowning in.
A long way from town.
To lay there and drown (x2)
Lay down, lay down.
Waving hands and dangling feet.
Out to sea.
Knowing I left something home.
Counting strangers watching me.
See I am next.
Why is this the way that I've become.
Hating what I have become.
And I've seen all your perfect dreams are drowning you.
A long way from town.
To lay there and drown (x2)
Lay down, lay down.
A long way from town.
To lay there and drown (x2)
Lay down, lay down.
Thanks for the lyrics.
*cry*
I loaned this CD to a friend, two years ago. He swears he gave it back, but I don't have it. I'll never have access to those songs again.
I think project records still sells it or maybe amazon. though I saw it somewhere recently.
Same boat man, it used to be on Spotify but not anymore. And while I don't condone this for smaller bands, you can't even find torrent rips of this album.
They're sold out of Never Ever at Projekt records.
Shallow Gravy's "Jacket" led me to discover Weep, and now Im hooked.
I love the subtle vicious tone of this song. Like how one would patiently wait to see some one to "lay there and drown".
This stuff took a little while to grow on me for some reason, but I loved the lyrics from the start, and I'm starting to like it just as much as Doc's previous work with Mors Syphilitica and Requiem in White (which is what got me on board with Venture Bros. in the first place) I love Venture Bros., can't think of any series that would feature David Bowie and Iggy Pop, or mention Stiv Bators and Lydia Lunch.
I have yet to find a Weep song I don't like, but so far, I think this may just be the best.
So beautiful!!
God this album is amazing, I used to have it but never backed it up. A friend borrowed it and won't give it back, uses to be on spotify but now that's not the case.
doc has taste
Still cannot find this album anywhere for the life of me
