Love and hate your reviews. Love'em because of the great detail and non bias review, hate them because i find my wallet lighter after too many of them! 😂
I purchased this on Sept 6th and the version I have now has a mesh panel on the entire door section on both sides. So you can unzip that section and get full mesh for a lot more airflow now. If its cold, you can zip it up and it acts just like Luke's version here. Very good change to make this more versatile for warmer months.
Purchased this tent on your recommendation, and I am not disappointed. This tent is really really nice, and not expensive. I have taken it out twice now 4 nights total. So far the coldest temps were 13 degrees outside (no snow or ice). In the morning the inside of the tent was 28F and outside was 13F, no heat source besides my 5’ 7” mass. I had a very small amount or moisture on the inside. Very pleased. I only have 2 negatives which you have already touched on in your videos. 1. The poles do not stay in place while assembling. They tent to pop out of the hole when trying to erect from the other side. Not a big deal but can be annoying. 2. The rain fly does not tie up and out of the way well. With only the one tie it hangs in your way while entering/leaving the tent. If they made this in a 3 man version I would buy about 8 of them for my Troop. Even though this does sleep 2 people (both using 25” wide pads), there is no place left for your gear. So to me it’s still just a perfect size 1 man tent.
Purchased a Stella for myself after watching your videos, and I was very happily surprised to see that they addressed the no mesh door issue, they’ve ditched the small vent holes at the top and made the doors 2 layers, one solid, one mesh!
I bought the Stella after your first review. I waited for it to get cold and took it to the mountains of West Virginia. It was 12F outside. Like you said, it was 10 degrees warmer in the tent just from my body heat. I had it set up in a shady area, but the black fly in sunlight would be super toasty. The tent is very compact and relatively lightweight so I wouldn’t hesitate to take it backpacking. I agree that it would be miserable in warm weather, but I was so impressed with it that I got the Cosmitto 2.0 for warm weather. I also got the Cosmitto footprint which I think will fit the Stella. Luke, you have turned me into a tent fanatic. I keep buying tents after watching your videos. My wife is starting to get concerned.
PS: If you know how to tie a taut line hitch (search it up on UA-cam) you don’t need adjustable buckles to tighten the rain fly up. Also, it isn’t hard to tie the cord on the tent pegs if they come untied. Just an overhand on a bight.
@@Maryland_KulakYes, the tautline hitch works fantastic on tie outs, like you said the taut line hitch is very simple to learn. After about 10=15 minutes it's second nature!
Just put a bungee on the middle tie out points and the pitch will improve and the sagging will diminish - it also helps with catching wind load (or when you trip on a stake).
If I can get a well reviewed 4 season tent at a good price, I take no issue with labeling the storage sack myself. Thanks for your dedicated work on this channel Luke.
I bought this tent as well and have used it a number of times in the cold and I've been very impressed by it. It traps in heat very well and even as windy as it was on top of a mountain it kept wind out.
Fantastic looking tent. Most of the cons can be fixed very easily. The side tie outs for instance can be taken care of with adjustable sliders and a bit more cordage. The tent stake knots are really no big deal either and easily remedied. Yep, can't imagine why they don't properly mark the tent bag. A silver sharpie can take care of this but, yea, printed on in white would be a great touch. Though it may seem like a small deal, the tent bag being properly sized is a huge deal. I don't get why equipment manf. skimp on their bags. It is as if the head of R&D asks, "How easy was it to get back in the bag?" "OH, it was real easy!" R&D, " Make it smaller then." The price is incredible and it is an awesome looking tent.
Nice review on this tent, Luke, and cudos to One Tigris for making a QUALITY tent !! Very few tents sold in the US have this level of HH, or hydrostatic head , (a measure of how waterproof the tent will be), at 3000 hh. Most tent makers only have an HH rating of less than 1000 - 2000 hh , of which is acceptable for a light shower or moderate rain for short durations. If you are talking serious bad weather for prolonged periods over several years use, these hh ratings won’t cut it imo. That is why european tents have higher HH ratings of 3000 - 6000 hh , due to the increased rainfall experienced in areas such as in the UK, Germany, etc. More US tent makers should improve their HH ratings, (not to mention quality control), so that those wanting a tent that can handle adverse conditions, an emergency tent for unknown weather conditions, etc. can have reliable options. The LAST thing you want on a backcountry trip is having to repair your shelter or having it fail during a storm. I understand that this tent is a sole purpose winter only tent, but for what it is, ESPECIALLY for the price, this is a No Brainer for winter campers/backpackers or preppers looking for a quality winter tent option that won’t break the bank.
Camped in my new Stella on New Years. Got around 27° F that night. Tent performed great for the weather. No cold air blowing inside tent and no condensation issues. Tent looks great too!. Waiting for a rain test night. Zippers are very smooth. Just make sure when you go to bed for the night those zippers are all the way closed. The little flap where the zippers meet kind of blocks your view. I noticed the next morning that one door was not fully zipped that caused a slight gap. I also used the Cosmitto footprint that also fits the Stella.
I love mine as well and it is a True 4-Season tent, not 3, not 2 but 4-season only! Almost forgot I fixed those side stake out points by using some paracord and some Plastic Cord Locks End Spring Stop Toggle Stoppers as adjusters. Be sure to allow for enough length to the stakes. I used the other stakeout lengths as a guide.
Hi Luke I was looking at this tent and after seeing your test on how waterproof it was i went out and brought it, being even better as it was on Amazon black Friday deal and got 20% off. so rather that £199 pounds i got it for £159 pounds ( $249 dollars before discount to $199 dollars after) I live in the UK and we know how it can be a tad wet over here, my first night out in it air temp was 1 degree or 34 F and i was toasty in this tent, the wind was 12 Mph before battery ran out on anemometer and gave windchill of -4 (25F) i was concerned where the fly didn't touch the ground that i might be drafty inside, but this not the case, the inner done it's job. @@kiestanleyddanter3110 I’m not sure as to what it will be like in the summer ? As I not tried it yet, but so you are aware it has not got mesh on the door panels. But the inner is semi waterproof so be helpful if setting it in the rain.

Luke, thank you for this review! I've been looking into getting a 4-Season tent recently. I've had my eye on the Stella. I think I've made my decision. You couldn't have done this review at a better time. Thanks brother!
Bought one, and I mods it with 9.5mm pole you don't even need the bend in the pole. bought 390 cm pole and remove 19.5 cm (370.5cm and it was perfect). The tent is way stronger in wind and with snow loading. There extra guideline you can add and you can put trekking pole under the small pole to increase snow loading. Thanks for the review this is a great tent
I own this tent. Every thing he says is true. My cons are the black fly and vestibule. It blocks so much light you need lamps sooner than you’d think. The vestibules are tiny. Otherwise at temps below 50f I’d recommend it.
I love mine to bits, agree with everything said in this review. Onetigris mistakenly sent me their camping table instead of the tent, and afterwards they didn't want it back so I got two of their products for the price of the tent.
What would you say are the highest temperature someone could use this tent in? Luke states cold and winter but doesn't really go into detail on degrees. it might be a stupid question since it's a 4th season tent but thought i should ask, since you own one.
@@ThatUpster I'm afraid I can't answer to that in few more months. I got it in September when the nights had already gotten milder. I had some sort of ventilation going on, and the night temperature was 15-18C or so, had zero problems with any heat accumulation. I would suspect that in actual summer months one may want to sleep butt-naked :D
@@goemboeck That actually answered my question perfectly, If it could be used both in the winter and in some warmer conditions like 10-15C, or if it was way to warm. But 15-18C without issue sounds great, very versatile. Ofc it might differ a bit for me but that as a baseline is great! I mostly use Tarps for all the seasons, but was thinking of finding a good cheaper Winter tent that could be used Spring and Autumn as well, and this tent sounds like something I would be very pleased with. Thanks for taking the time to answer. Cheers!
I bought it during 2024 Black Friday and used immediately a week after in nearby the campground. One thing I noticed immediately after set up the tent is, this is tiny. I am 5’10” and when I lie down in the tent, either my feet or my head touches the inner tent wall. I bought it for my sole camping so not an issue with small inner space, but can’t fully stretch can be an issue to me. Would be perfect if tent has 2~3 inch wider than what it is. Other than that, the tent holds the heat pretty well and also blocks the winter wind. Well at least enough for SoCal December weather assuming you have enough insulation for the floor and winter sleeping bag.
@hectorado unfortunately I wasn't able to camp after I bought it as I had planned. It is set up in my back garden right now as we are expecting some heavy rain the next couple of days and the temp at night should be around freezing, so I'm gonna sleep in it and see
I appreciate your honest opinions and reviews. You seem to pick on One Tigris about marking the storage bag with the tent model name . Consider that One Tigris could do that very easily , however they would pass that cost onto the consumer. One could very easily stencil the model name using a permanent marker in white . Thank you for your honest opinions.
It's good-looking tent but, I found every tent you got, Luke. You always get the dark green color. Maybe this's is your perfect color for camping. Again, thank you for sharing with us. Love (your videos) always, be best.
It would be the perfect tent for me since I would be camping alone and only two, maybe four, times a year during the cooler/colder months of the year. At a tic over 6'4", and being a meat and taters kind of guy, the "two person" tent would be a "one tall, fat old goober" tent for my uses/purposes. Thanks for yet another excellent video!
I've been looking at this tent for quite some time. Through your reviews, I've made a decision to purchase. This should be arriving in the mail before Christmas :-)
Going back and forth on Amazon, this OneTigris Stella looks a lot like a winter version of the MSR Elixir 2. But I see the Elixir still has all around thicker material and features more mesh. I winter backpacked in the Grand Canyon and I can confirm the MSR Elixir 2 survived a 50mph windstorm and cold nights with a 0° comfort rated sleeping bag. That being said, 2lb less and likely a warmer interior to the tent would have been nice that the OneTigris Stella can offer.
I've never been as determined as I was after watching this movie. I already have a few products ordered after your recommendation. Greetings from the UK.
Every time with this company, it's the storage bag and stakes. I usually use a paint pen on bags or some sharpie and duct tape. I always change the cheap cordage on stakes with 5mm or 3mm line and just gorilla glue the knot as I too have gauged chunks out of fingers. The tent fly stake out points can be a problem, but some bungie cord and a short piece of 3mm para and a hitch solves the tension issues with nylon and silnylon tarps and fly's( have to put lots of tension to stretch the bungie) when staked. As the nylon stretches, the cord takes up your slack and no re-adjusting.
Great review as always Luke. The cords on the tent stakes, if they are nylon cordage, simply tie the knot you want and melt the end to the knot itself and it won't come loose. As @Maryland_Kulak suggested, purchasing the OneTigris Cosmitto will take care of the warm weather camping and backpacking and you get both the tents for under $400. That sounds like a win to me. Sounds like a great tent and I'll be looking into purchasing one after the new year. It should work great here in the PNW.
Those specs at right around 4.4# ? Wow, that’s awesome! Also, glad you found a tent that fit your standards. Nice to see a review that was positive for a change, no wonder these tent makers avoid sending you their gear lol
Sounds like an awesome tent and worth the buy I like the color as well , Id buy it But would like the fly that goes right down. Thank's for another epic review Luke.
Agh the labelling of the bag is a good point. I had my caravan, mum and dad had there’s. My dad picked the wrong awning for the poles he’d taken. So he had to go back to Lancashire and stay home over night, get the right poles. Then come back the following morning. Cos he had more than one awning. He soon labelled all the bags when we got home. 😂😂❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️❤️❤️
6.9 feet in length is 83in or less. I have never seen a name brand tent that short in length. At 6'2" I prefer 88-90in so the toes of my quilt are not touching the foot of the tent. Also 20d seems light for a 4 season tent. That is what Big Agnes uses for their ultralight 3 season tents, and those tents are known to be fragile. I have a now discontinued Big Agnes 3+ season tent that uses 40d silnylon and I consider that on the edge of being too light for 4 season use. This Onetigris tent looks like a copy of Big Agnes Copper Spur Expedition with about 90% less ventilation. Condensation will likely be an issue with such little ventilation.
I am still trying to get one. They sell out as fast as they make them! They can thank you for that Luke 😂. Living in the upper peninsula of Michigan this would be a perfect tent for winter camping unless we have the high winds which we do get. Thank you for all you do for our outdoor community Luke. Number one on UA-cam for honest and true tested reviews.
Great 4 season tent for the $$ Luke is right about using it in windy cold conditions. My Stella performed well but wind brought down the temperature inside
I tie “snake knots” for all my tent stakes and zipper pulls. Two consecutive knots that will never come undo and they look sharp. Plenty of videos on UA-cam on how to tie them.
Great, thorough review. With so many four-season tents costing £600+ here in the UK, this is a viable option. The only thing that concerns me is the draft getting in under the flysheet and gear getting soaked but I suppose you could take stuff into the inner. Despite the niggles, I think this tent is going to do well - especially in times when people don’t have a lot of spare cash. Many thanks from the UK Luke. 👍🇬🇧
The cons of stakes and non adjustable ends are non issues. Make your own adjusters with #36 bankline and melt the knots on the stakes...all good. Sigh...now I have another tent I have to buy! Thanks for the review!
Hey Luke I recently bought a sea to summit- wilderness survival first arrow tent, found in a box of old tents and broken camp chairs I seen the sea to summit logo, went home googled the tent and realised that I paid 2 dollars from my local second hand shop, for a 1100 dollar tent, that looks like it’s been used once, however I can’t find many reviews on these tents online, wondering if you or anyone else has come across these line of tents? Cheers mate from Australia
I also love and hate the reviews, but for slightly different issues. Love the honesty, depth, and just the overall scope of what you do. I hate the superfluous nitpicking. Loose threads? Really, that's no indication of a lack of quality, just a lack of attention to perfection on the part of the person responsible for thread trimming. I spent a decade doing upholstery and drapery fabrication/repair, and let me say that I always tried to avoid loose threads, but somehow, on large projects, they almost always found a way to avoid me. But when I fabricated something, it was sound and as overbuilt as I could manage. This bit about a lack of labeling on the bags is just ridiculous. Get a fabric marker. I mean, on the one hand, you praise the quality to price and then complain about a detail that could, feasibly, increase the cost. Apart from all my complaining, I believe that you do an incredible job, and my complaints are MY ignorable nitpicking. Bravo to you.
Imagine if they added a zippered mesh door, and then a mesh window that could be closed. Then it would be even more versatile. But I digress 😅. Great video with solid info as usual. Thanks Luke.
thank you for this review. I was looking for a cheap 4 season tent as I won't be using it often. I live in Southern California and the winter here is usually pretty mild but I do like to go camping once in a while in the desert or Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, which can get pretty chilly.
Most of the cons you opined on can be fixed by you or One Tigris , if they are listening/watching? And they should be. Your evaluations are accurate and should be taken into consideration by these companies. Paracord and some simple adjusting tension Knots can fix your adjusting tension cons. A sewn in mosquito screen and zipper for the entrance and maybe a window like all Pup tents since the 60's is an easy fix the company should already know to do. Great review and I hope they get the memo.
I HATE that most products - tents, tarps, chairs, tables, etc. - barely fit into their storage bag! Why must we be required to carefully fold the product exactly as it left the factory in order to stow it away? A slightly larger storage bag is ideal for real people using stuff in the real world. Great review!
While more expensive I think the Luxe Minipeak, and their other tents are pretty solid as well, especially since they changed to a reputable distributor. It's tipi design, and wood stove compatibility is pretty cool, and it comes with both 3 season and winter inner options. They even come with a snow skirt option *but* just the fly, for a fly only pitch is $129.00, on sale, for the 1 person. Note the 1 person can be a two person tent if you don't plan on gear or stove being inside. Add in the 4 season, 1 person, inner and the cost jumps up to $239.00. Still a great deal but the OneTigris here beats it fo-sho. I just prefer Tipi designs for wind and snow loading. Where I am the snow can be pretty wet so the steep angles are a benefit in terms of snow sliding off.
Looks like a very strong competitor against the LiteFighter Fido 2 AI, which is still under $800, but the Stella is still considerably cheaper and lighter. Might be worth it to compare the two in terms of durability. The Fido does offer more modularity so you can use it in the summer.
I love this style and color along with the price point. In past videos you say tents will not be good in cold or windy weather and cannot be considered a 4 season tent. If the Stella cannot comfortably be used in warmer weather as you say, then it is truly not a 4 season tent ( by your definition)! Most of my camping is during cooler weather so I think I would be ok!
They listened: I just received a stella (v2?) with a double door (mesh and solid). I Will be using it next week, but anticipate one issue with the new door. Both doors opens/zippers from the bottom. To create only a little ventilation, this will be at the bottom, en not at the top, where I would like it....
I am really impressed!! Fantastic to know I can have a confident purchase in this tent at a price I can afford!! I am excited to know about the quality and price of this tent! What would you define as warm temperature? This is key information for me to figure out when I can use this tent. I have to strategize timing and temperature since I live in a warmer climate. 🙂

I just bought this tent from watching your review,I know it's nearly summer ,but I will have it when winter comes back.
Just bought this based on this review. I'll be doing some camping the first week of the new year, I have no doubts that it will work just fine.
How was it?
@hectorado unfortunately I wasn't able to camp after I bought it as I had planned. It is set up in my back garden right now as we are expecting some heavy rain the next couple of days and the temp at night should be around freezing, so I'm gonna sleep in it and see
Thanks! That is what I need for my needs and pocket!
Great to have you back Luke
It's good-looking tent but, I found every tent you got, Luke. You always get the dark green color. Maybe this's is your perfect color for camping. Again, thank you for sharing with us. Love (your videos) always, be best.
If I buy this I’ll buy through you. Strength and honer buddy. Your the man. Dig it.
Thank you again for sharing info about this 4 season tent and video! Mr. Luke ☕☕
I would suggest that Luke define what a 4 season tent is. From the comments, it is obvious that many of the commenters do not understand.
6’3”, bought the tent and was basically sleeping head & toe against walls, luckily no condensation
@@dsien What diameter are the poles? When I checked Onetigris website yesterday there was no mention of the pole size.
This tent is a steal at this time - but u watch - because of this review the price WILL GO UP
I am still trying to get one.
This tent would be great for fall elk hunting season in our mountains.
All the cord pulls need is to use a different knot. Connect the cord ends with a sheet bend and you'll have no further issues.
It’s $179.99 on Amazon right now. I added it to my list of upcoming things to get when I have the extra money . Gotta get some overtime at work lol 😊
Thanks so much for this review. Great job. And thanks for the effort as you made for video!!! Great job!!!!
The cons of stakes and non adjustable ends are non issues. Make your own adjusters with #36 bankline and melt the knots on the stakes...all good. Sigh...now I have another tent I have to buy! Thanks for the review!
Longtime follower. Great review as always.
Video was so great, and full of great info, that I hit the like button three times!
Colder weather means less bugs this does 4 seasons right good job Sir🎉
Great review. I love the Jacket you're wearing. thanks for putting it in the links. ~ Semper Fi
Excellent review, been waiting for it. Im going to buy one for next winter. I watched it in my version 1 Cosmitto tent in heavy rain and no leaks haha
I hope everyone snatched one up during the black Friday sale. What a give away price, got mine. :)
Bought the Cometa off your review, brilliant tent for moto camping
How does this put up with the wind ? How good does it perform
thank you for this review.
Hey Luke. I use colored electrical tape to differentiate things. Maybe put a strip of different colors on each tent bag
Where did you get your jacket? It looks warm and amazing
I HATE that most products - tents, tarps, chairs, tables, etc. - barely fit into their storage bag! Why must we be required to carefully fold the product exactly as it left the factory in order to stow it away? A slightly larger storage bag is ideal for real people using stuff in the real world. Great review!
Excellent review. Man. You are good. Very good.
I'm holding out for a tent you really recommend.
I have the cometta, I love it. And other scouts in our troop want to get it.
It's a go,the price can't be beat.
Have you looked at their hammock hot tents? Their intriguing
Maybe use elastic tie downs for the fly. Nice looking tent but I'm a 3 season camper, if that anymore. I tend to sleep in my car lately.
Looks like a very strong competitor against the LiteFighter Fido 2 AI, which is still under $800, but the Stella is still considerably cheaper and lighter. Might be worth it to compare the two in terms of durability. The Fido does offer more modularity so you can use it in the summer.
Great review, just ordered one
Definitely interested in the Kometa vid, an the other one, but I like Baker style tents, thx for the vid.
Great videos watch a lot of them, but I have a question have you ever tested any L.L. Bean tents? If so, let me know.
They sell decent tents have used a few.
Id like to see you test one of the Inflatable tents
I'm confused. I have a double door on my stella with mesh. Did y'all not?
Please do a review of the Nordisk Svalbard 1SI tent.
Another week, another review from the OneTigris Channel
