What is the purpose of the butterfly valve in the exhaust? Every 599 GTO has it?
Fewer Co2 emissions at low rpms, less noise at low rpms and more torque at low rpms. Since the closed valve makes it harder for the exhaust gasses to exit from the exhaust, it creates more pressure, thus more torque.
It's the same principle that makes your bike less ready at low rpms when you put a shorter aftermarket exhaust on.
