For anyone building this of his most recent iron farm/ raid farm on top of an outpost this is a rough material list I compiled 6x target blocks 6x comparators 21x hoppers 5x redstone torches 5x buttons ≈20 red stone dust 1x repeater 1x dropper ≈ 2 stacks of glass ≈ 1 stack of packed ice ≈ 15 leaf blocks ≈ 32 solid blocks ≈12 chests Water source

I've found that these new bottles allow you to build a raid farm anywhere. I decided to put a raid far right below height build limit. After a raid I fly down to the ground lose the raid victory bar drink another potion and fly back up, raid starts pretty instantly
The fact that this came out a day before the update is awesome! Now on to the creeper farm! I built a manual ghast farm so redstone wouldnt lag out the ps4 and its just tiresome lol
Have you worked with your raid-esque farm that sends all the outpost guys to the nether so they can join a raid there since ominous bottles started existing? The new mechanic seems like it would make using that farm easier.

It would be cool to see a separate ominous bottle farm from raid farms, I have a pillager outpost 50 blocks from my base and it would be cool to farm bottles from there
And conversely, I don't have any pillager outposts within 2000 blocks of my base, so it would be nice to have a quick farm to give me the bad omen potions that a short period of AFK can supply my needs, with a combination iron farm/raid farm nearer my base.
I’m glad this is such an easy fix! I’ll miss the 100% afk aspect, but I do get killed by vex more often than I’d like so it’s probably actually better for me lol.
Once the raid is over cant you drink the ominous bottle because the victory bar lasts 30 sec, and the raid effect is useless until after 30 sec, so the raid would start?

Please do a video after 1.21 comes out, about building it from scratch, anywhere on the world. I'm sure it can be streamlined further than it currently is, with the pillager outpost. So i dont want to use a pillager outpost at all when building my raid farm.
Silent I NEED to know this! If we have different levels of bad omen now, does that mean we can get extra waves in raids like Java edition? This has been a parody feature I’ve wanted FOREVER now
@@gamerdogthedog The bad omen bottle level modifies the difficulty of the trial chambers (leaving them with more loot and making them much more difficult) I hope I helped :)
If you just need emeralds or loot from the raid farm, and dont care about XP or have keep inventory on, you can just die to reset the timer rather than wait for the raid victory to finish. Also works if you get saved by a totem aswell, itll remove the raid victory and let you start another raid right away
Another pro to the omen change is you don't leave your raid farm with the bad omen effect (accidently) then walk into a random village or another farm of yours and start a raid there. And someone other than the trident owner can now trigger raids with the potion for realms and servers.
The raid forms for me don’t show up. I don’t know what I did wrong or if it’s just the game with the update, but they don’t show up. I searched throughout the whole map for about two days now literal days after creating a New World
can the ominous bottles become splash potions? Could you get a whole bunch of them, and then set up a REALLY SLOW hopper clock to dispense a splash potion, giving yourself bad omen? It'd be slow, but it'd make it 100% AFT if you built up enough potions.
I feel you should now make a new raid farm tutorial incorporating the ominous bottle channel with the classic raid farm style so we can get all the different drops as opposed to just regular pillager raid drops.
With this update, Mojang has stated that mobs will now spawn in the center of a block instead of the northwest corner of a block. This seems true for general mob spawning, but structure spawns from Pillager Outposts, Ocean Monuments, and Witch Huts don't seem to be affected. Is anyone else seeing this? And is this intentional or do they plan on changing this in the future (I hope not)?
Will captains in a raid drop these ominous bottles? If so surely we can just farm a few bottles then go to our raid farm and use that without needing the lower part at all??
Hey silent, Last I checked there was a bug(could be working as intended or not yet implemented) where the levels of an ominous bottle made no difference in the raids. I tried all 5 levels on hard difficulty and they all spawned in the same amount of mobs. Has this been changed or have you noticed this?
I suppose you could build this farm anywhere realistically. However, you won't get resupplied on ominous bottles unless you're taking out the captains, so unless you have a good supply. Or farm the outpost for a bit
i would love to see an update where the new bottles can be turned into a splash potion which can then automatically splash you with the effect so you can go afk
I’ve actually solved the entire AFK problem, including the ability to get looting still! got a video coming out in the next few days, needs an auto clicker but still!
Do you plan to make a new video guide on building a farm from scratch, that isn't at an outpost? I'm based near an ocean and was planning to build it above the ocean, so seeing a brand new standalone version would be fantastic for both just pillager outposts and a raid farm, instead of built together.
What item sorter would you reccomend for this farm as it works oerfectly but i overflow with so much useless loot and its annoying to clear out thanks :)
I mean i already semi-afk so it doesnt really effect me that badly. I had trouble with maling the other trident killer at the top of the outpost.(Once i placed the water in the correct place they wouldnt spawn even if i have a glass block to push them into it) I have the raid trident killer above the outpost so im all set, but i enjoyed watching!
Last time I checked, using Target Blocks to redirect Redstone didn't worked on Bedrock. When did that get changed? Also, might be better to save those Lv 4 and 5 Ominous bottles or whatever they are called. Those are supposed to be useful in those Trial Chambers.
I think I’ll just transport some villagers or capture and cure some zombie villagers and make a village out in the middle of nowhere and use that to spawn raids. My hostile mob farm just so happens to spawn Pillager patrols (Bedrock, thus spawn spots) so I can probably get Ominous Potions from that. The one minute cooldown would give me time to empty my inventory of drops into storage so that’s fine.

First make from the video he uploaded 9 months ago and build the four trident killers only then build from his 10 months ago video and build the afk platform and rest of them after that build this one from this video....like these orders.

Let's be honest raid farms needed a nerf. Those distorted the economy in a big way. There was zero need to make all the other types of farm for trading when you could simply makes a raid farm and make stacks of emeralds.
How high should your afk spot be? From the top of my pillager tower, the highest I can afk the bottom kill chamber is 30 blocks, farther than that pillagers dont spawn, but this is low enough for raids to spawn on the ground. Would simulation distance have any effect on the spawn and despawning of pillagers?
@@allhailskippy I've built this multiple times, and have found that sometimes for whatever reason, the exact same block for block dimensions may work on one tower, but not another.

if you change your difficulty to peaceful during the victory bar it removes the bar so the cooldown is shorter

far as i know it doesn't do anything at all for raids

This just gets rid of the challenge of having to worry about raids and simultaneously breaks the least grindy way of getting emeralds

I think they have not included ot in these areas to keep these type of farms working. Not sure but I guess at some point they will.

I think I'll end up farming bottles separately, then do raid farming. With the right redstone I reckon I can get a stacked raid farm to work

any raid farm can be built anywhere now. no need for an outpost. the tutorial is still the same 👍

The afk platform has to be 42 blocks from the pillager spawing platform.

Make sure to test the behavior packs that you have many of them don’t work with the bad omen effect for example FoxyNoTail‘s packs (One player Sleep)

I use the 24 stacked farm and all I did was have a water system to bring the pillager loot into a storage system at the afk leaf area.

Should be 42 blocks above the top floor of the tower (not the roof of the tower)
