    21 signs you're NOT ready for a marriage :
    1. You get jealous too quickly. A little jealousy is normal, because it shows that you don't want to lose your partner. But when you get so jealous, that you can't stand your partner talking to someone else, or you think that everyone who talks to your partner, is trying to take them away from you, then your jealousy becomes a problem. Be more confident about yourself, learn to trust your partner, stop fearing that someone will take away your partner from you. Be a friend to his or her friends, and get to know his people.
    2. You withdraw and stop talking, when something offends you. Silent treatment is immature, and will make your partner feel disrespected, unwanted, and unimportant. Learn to solve conflicts through peaceful and wise communication.
    3. You don't like to be corrected. You're not perfect, sometimes you'll make mistakes. You don't know everything, sometimes you need advice. Put aside your pride, stop being so defensive, and joyfully accept criticism and correction. For it will help you become a better spouse.
    4. You always need people, to help you make decisions. Stop running to family and friends, for advice all the time. And start learning to think for yourself, and trusting your intelligence and wisdom, to make the right decisions. Use discernment, sound judgement, along with prayer, and God's guidance.
    5. You're only focused on your happiness. Marriage is not only about your happiness. Marriage is trying to figure out, how you can keep your partner happy as well. Do to your partner, as you would like your partner do for you.
    6. You can't express appreciation towards your partner. Constant complaining, finding faults, criticizing, belittling, nagging, will destroy a relationship. Learn to be more positive. Encourage your partner, support them, compliment them, adore and admire them.
    7. You're impatient. You want others to do things faster, understand faster, learn faster, and obey faster. Learning to be patient with your partner, will show them that you care.
    8. You don't have a clear plan for your future. A plan or vision for your life and marriage, leads to success. It keeps reminding you, to keep working hard, until you see the life you wish to live.
    9. You're financial unstable. You don't have to be rich to marry, but you have to be able to provide enough for your family.
    10. You can't accept your partner's differences. Your partner has different interests, hobbies, opinions, habits, lifestyle, etc. But you want your partner to be exactly like you, so you try to change them. Respect the way your partner is, and acknowledge that everyone is created differently.
    11. You don't love yourself. You feel worthless, useless, and like you're a failure, mistake, and accident. If you're not happy all by yourself, how are you going to make someone else happy?
    12. You're more in love with your friends and families, than with your partner. The love between you and your partner, will quickly fade away, when you give them the last place in your life.
    13. You can't be honest and open, about what is going on inside of you. Talking about your feelings, can help your partner understand you better. Expressing your feelings and emotions, doesn't make you weak, it makes you stronger, and builds companionship, intimacy, and closeness.
    14. In times of stress, frustration, and troubles, you struggle to control your emotions and anger, and often overreact. If you can't control your anger, and tongue, or if you feel like being physical abusive when you're angry, then you're not ready for marriage. When you feel triggered by your partner’s word choice, actions, or tone, practice self-control, instead of lashing out.
    15. You lack communication skills. Communication is how you and your spouse share your thoughts and views, connect, and settle disputes. Healthy communication is open and honest, with a friendly tone, to avoid misunderstandings. Listen carefully, and speak gently.
    16. You're not being real. You're afraid that the other person will not like you for who you are, so you pretend to be other people and personalities, just so you can impress them. Being fake, will create all sorts of relationship problems. Serve them only you, with all your flaws and weaknesses.
    17. You don't know how to be romantic. Without romance, a marriage will start feeling boring and distant. Romantic love keeps couples close, connected, and passionate.
    18. You don't have a sense of humor. You take life too seriously, and miss all the fun. Respectfully make fun of each other, act crazy sometimes, talk funny, and learn to reply with humor.
    19. Laziness. You don't like doing housework, so you leave all the work for others. Start asking your partner if you can help with anything, even if they don't ask for your help. Sharing household chores, is very important to marital success.
    20. You hold grudges. You can't forgive, you can't let go of feelings of anger and resentment. A marriage will have many new beginnings. In order to keep the marriage going strong, you must be willing to forgive, and make a fresh start.
    21. You don't put God first. Many voices will speak to your mind, about your partner, but the only voice you should trust, is the voice of God, and what He tells you to do in your marriage. As you spend time in prayer and reading the Bible, let God instruct you, how to treat your partner.
    🚫. 🚫
Do NOT be these 11 marriage partners 👇
    _-
    1. Don't be a quarrelsome partner. Instead of getting offended and irritated at every little thing, let love lead you. Learn to tolerate the shortcomings and mistakes of others, at the same time, solve conflicts peacefully, and gently.
    _-
    2. Don't be an unhappy partner. Instead of walking around with a sour face, depressed, sad, stressed, angry, and unfriendly, learn to be happy, joyful, and put on a happy face. A smiley face can do wonders.
    _-
    3. Don't be a babbling partner, or someone who talks excessively, from the minute they open their eyes in the morning, until they close their eyes in the night. Not everyone enjoys listening to foolish and meaningless talk, all day long. Some people like their peaceful quiet time.
    _-
    4. Don't be a silent partner. While excessive talking can be annoying, silence can be frustrating. If you never communicate what's going on with you, how you feel, or what you like, but expect people to read your mind, this can lead to frustration.
    _-
    5. Don't be an angry partner. Some people love being angry. They'll wait and look for an opportunity, to speak angrily, reply angrily, react angrily, behave angrily. Learn to manage your emotions, and replace your anger with love, compassion, kindness, friendliness, gentleness, and joy. Let the humility and love of Jesus show through your behavior.
    _-
    6. Don't be a complaining partner. If you find joy in complaining and nagging, you need help and deliverance. Learn to be understanding, sympathetic, and supportive. You may not like everything that others are doing, but others also don't like everything you're doing. So be more positive, lower your expectations, and increase your patience and tolerance.
    _-
    7. Don't be a selfish partner. Instead of only focusing on your own needs, happiness, and interests, look for ways to make your spouse happy, and offer your help, and assistance.
    _-
    8. Don't be an unaffectionate partner, or someone who is cold, unemotional, uncaring, or unfriendly. Show your partner that you love them. Kiss them, hug them, cuddle with them, hold hands, massage them, send them love messages, tell them how you miss them, and adore them.
    _-
    9. Don't be a boring partner. Be awesome, entertaining, funny, childish, playful, weird, and just a little crazy.
    _-
    10. Don't be an evil partner. Don't entice or seduce your partner to slander, do or speak evil of others, fight or take revenge for you, or put them in dangerous situations. Don't make them feel like they have to beg or fight for your love. Don't be disrespectful to them, in your conversations, especially in public. Don't hurt their feelings, and not apologize. And don't flirt with other people, when they aren't looking. Be faithful, even when no one is watching.
    _-
    11. Don't be an insecure partner. Don't try to control where they go, or who they talk to, because you're afraid to lose them. Don't get so quickly jealous, when they make a new friend. Don't get suspicious, and start spying on them. Don't try to make him or her jealous, by flirting with someone else, just to make them start chasing after you.

You are correct, the solution is not marriage, though marriage in honorable.... the solution is temperance, the fruit of the spirit alive in your words and deeds. fasting and praying will destroy the yoke of the lust of the flesh. You will walk into marriage whole if you bring your flesh under subjection to the Spirit of God.

The solution is to be born again according the Bible. These Christians have believed partial scripture and are not saved ……. They have been told just confessions is salvation
What do we see ? People who have the same issues unbelievers have. What happened to crucifying the flesh ? What happened to being a new creature in Christ. What happened to if a man follows me he must first deny himself?
They do none of that but have been told they are saved when the fact is they are not saved. And that is exactly why you do not see the miracles Jesus promised we would see

This is true… marriage should not be looked as the optimal solution. And I believe that for a time an individual can keep their flesh under control thus keeping their temple of God pure. The question I ask is this suppose to be indefinite obedience for years upon years without stumbling once? If an individual goes a year without giving in to lust but then they fail one day, then… what is to be said about that person failing?

Temperance is correct. Patience and self control are both fruits of the spirit, and we should be striving to obtain all of the fruits so that people could see that God abides in us. “You will know them by their fruit”. Thank you for watching ❤

So glad you’re sharing in such an open and honest manner. This is so important, so many men , women, single and married are facing this issue also. Unfortunately church folk don’t want to talk about it , be they standing behind the altar or in the pews. I’ve had conversations about this with men and women, and more with married women. The only way to come through this is to bring it into the light. I’m a 64 year old man and this is an issue with people my age. You are not alone. Keep talking about it , keep speaking out, keep praying . Remember the word says that we a saved by the blood of the lamb and our testimony. Just found your video today and wanted to show some love. I love chapter 7 and what Paul wrote. Thanks for the transparency and the way you’re being open about this topic. Continue living in truth and be the light for everyone. This world is filled with everything being so sexualized and pushing it out so far to destroy our relationship with the Lord. We need more people sharing and understanding that this is a real struggle. If you’re not careful by putting on the full body armor of God, you will fall into temptation. Will be praying that your content will reach to everyone Janel. God bless

Along with repentance, we have to commit to change. Hiding sin is never the solution and shame will enslave you. It’s not easy, but God knows our hearts and the support we need to overcome sin. Thank you thank you. May God continue to bless you throughout your journey. Happy Sunday Janel

what people don't know is how hard it is stop or resist falling for lust. When i say you have just told what i've been battling for years to the letter, it's crazy. And one thing about this thing to is you keep coming back to it even after months of praying and going strong. it'll take a lot to get through this. BE strong, be prayerful and resilient cos even the internet will trigger you and the world will always tempt you in so many ways.

Listen, I so applaud you for your transparency on this topic! As a married senior blk male I too struggled with the stronghold of self pleasure ! My wife started having decreased desire for intimacy! These issues were due to hormonal changes changes brought on by menopause! I on the other hand had been faithful for 20yrs and took her lack of desire personal! But she asked me to go along with her to see her obgyn and discuss the possibilities of hormone replacement therapy! It was there that my world collapsed after hearing that she wasn't a candidate for this treatment! On top of that we were told that because of her history of a precancerous nodule removed from her pancreas , that there wasn't much that could be done! So as a Christian couple whose intimacy was brought to a halt! I didn't resist looking at porn for the sake of self pleasure at first! At least I wasn't stepping out on her! That is until I started feeling uneasy with the repetition of every night waiting until she went to sleep! Also at the same time the type of porn content that excited me was specific in nature and while it mirrored where we once were! It lead me to unreasonable expectations from a person that I knew inside and out! I remember climaxing and instantly feel dirty as if I had stepped out on her! Then I would slide to bed nxt to her and silently ask God for forgiveness once again? This went on for a couple of years and the devil beat me up with condemnation so much that I began to compromise my walk in other areas of concern! The scripture says it's the little foxes that spoil the vine or a little bit of leaven(yeast) cause the whole lump of dough to rise! Or in this case fall! We must be bodacious in fighting against our human( carnal ) tendencies! And in these last days where everything is acceptable by so-called Christians! The Lord is raising a Righteousness standard among His Chosen people! That requires one to be both audacious and transparent ! You are on the right path mysistah! I am a member of 2819 Church here in Atlanta and I tell you that this is very much a topic that is dealt with! Our Pastor Philip Mitchell is not gaslighting God's people and even deals with his own issues as a man of God! I am going to subscribe and pray for you!🙏✌️

'Christians have peace with God, yet not every Christian enjoys it' - Ken Legg. I use to think I needed to do good works to receive blessings and work for my salvation, which created guilt, condemnation, and doubt. But fear is the opposite of love. Gods love works through grace, my salvation is not how perfect I am or what I can do for God, but its what he did on the cross for me and you. We are forgiven, past present and future. We dont work for Gods blessing, we are already blessed through faith. Its not his salvation combined with our works, only his righteousness washed over us for salvation..to him the glory, lest anyone should boast in self righteousness. If we say we dont sin, we are a liar..whether by a single thought, word, or deed. No one is good but God. Once we understand our position not condition, sin loses power. His grace helps us to resist sin while focusing on his kingdom and glory, rather than focusing on sin and be worried all the time, missing the peace of mind already provided for u. It doesnt change the nature of sin and resisting, but being saved by grace gives me peace. Heed the love of Jesus, come to me all who are burdened and I willl give you rest... Rest in his promise, not our own good works. I personally believe the 10 commandments are applicable to all people, a moral guide..commit it to memory. Paul reveals that without it, we would not know sin. Jesus expands by saying if you lust you commit adultery, if you hate in your heart you murder. Therefor the commandments are holy and good. Still, I am no better than a non believer except for faith in christ and his power to help me resist sin. Even Paul reveals the flesh and spirit are at war in our members until the day we die, who will save us from this body of death, Christ Jesus who saves us. In moments of weakness while on earth, God could chastise us for our own good like a loving Father so that we learn. But not to forget our position and identity as children of God, born again, sealed, sanctified by his sacrifice unto salvation, loved by him. From your brother in Christ here in New Zealand 🙏🏻❤️

You are absolutely right! We are to have tough conversations about sexual immorality. Sexual immortality is not define by just adultery, fornication or homosexuality; self pleasure is also sexual immorality. We also need to discuss what it means as Christians that we are God’s temple. Think about what you are watching with God’s eyes, hearing with God’s ears, saying with God’s mouth.
Additionally, thank you for speaking about 1 Corinthians. We have to read the entire chapter to understanding context and the audience to determine the spiritual lesson for us. As you stated, often times Christians will quote a verse without reading the entire chapter or understanding context. Thank you Sister in Christ. I pray for your continued strength as you follow in God’s path.

Thank you for being honest and sharing with us. The problem with society is we have learned to hide our sins and act like we are fine. Romans 3:23 remind us that we all have sinned. Each one of us have something we struggling with and to some, one sin looks worse than others and therefore we judge others, which has created a culture of hiding our sins. James 2:10 remind us that if we break one of the commandment we have fail in all. So we should stop hiding our sins and start confessing to each other so that we can hold each other accountable, and through confession we can get healing. James 5:16.

It's called integrity. God sees everything, and we're supposed to live in secret as we do in the light. We can't be rescued from sin by earthly things because we've already been rescued from sin by Jesus. Thank you for being candid! We are alive one day at a time. We have to live one day at a time, one hour at a time, one minute at a time, and even one second at a time. The only way that we can live for God and be holy is to submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit and be led by Him instead of being led by our soul (mind, will & emotions.) We can be led by The Spirit or we can be carnal Christians. Thank you again for speaking out. It's admirable.

So you continue to express if no one can relate and understand, hope you noticed I used the conjunction "and" not or because there is no choice when it comes to him if anyone think so they need him more so!!! I have no problem expressing myself like now because he wants us to show each other much more and we do not but I will say this "I love you" so continue to be you through him Ms. Lauren God has you even if you find yourself veering off he will catch you remember he understands you more than anyone!!! Glad to hear you received many positive comments about the previous video you posted on this topic.
Question for anyone willing to prove a response:
Does God expect absolute perfection when it comes to us keeping His Temple/our bodies pure by not giving into lust ever? I would say the answer to that is yes. But there are 365 days to n a year. I personally am able to go many months without giving into my flesh. But to go 1 year, 5 years, a decade and further without ever once failing… seems humanly impossible.
If God is expecting absolute perfection from us, before He deems us ready for a spouse… then we will never be ready.
