Only Americans will claim they're Irish, Italian, German, whatever just because some ancestors they never met were born there. A European will ask "Oh, I thought you were American! So you have dual citizenship and speak fluently?"
I think it's because Americans have such a different understanding of history. We Europeans are super mixed, too, but we only consider one, maybe two generations (those we met). History didn't begin in the 1800s, so when we hear Americans proudly proclaim to be British, it's as weird as an actual Brit claiming to be Roman, Viking, Saxon or Norman.

I have seen a comment at an other video about tourism. It was in a hotel in London. The mother said to her teenage son because the speak a different language doesn't mean they don't understand you. Most Europeans are bilingual.

Go to Carrefour in Spain as a Swede. It is amazing with the queue system. We need to implement that all over ❤

Kyle, I think many people agree, but I only speak for myself, when I say that I expect every US American to be a normal person, just like any person from anywhere in the world. When I keep following a channel, I've not met anything that has told me otherwise.
That being said, I do leave harsh comments now and again, regarding the topics of the videos I watch reactions on. The same, or even more, goes for reactions on videos I watch from my fellow Dutch their channels or channels from people anywhere around the world. I feel the policy of a national government is a reflection of the population, whether we like it or not (I don't like the government we're going to get soon at all), but that's something we all have to deal with.

I think as long as you respect the culture in any country you go to then you'll be fine.
