personally, I doubt that diptyque does use real oud but oud palao is so well made that you could easily believe that it was. a triumph 🐏🦆

I love how the juniper-cinnamon-amber combo in 1899 give me cedar vibes. Technically no cedar listed, but side-by-side with Spicebomb and Infrared, it legit smells woody. That Fate box though is giving me Smashing Pumkins vibes. 😄 Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. 🌚 The first CD album I ever bought. Big fan of Josh's Cape Heartache! Love wearing it in the fall.
Yes it is very smashing pumpkins... that album was like 30 bucks new.. in the 90s!

Calligraphy Rose came out that year didn't it? 🌹 One of my favs from Aramis. And Potion Royal Black! Literally my first two rose fragrances. Morillas' Man Extreme for Bvlgari (my old signature), the autumn sweeties from PdM - Oajan and Habdan, and of course Pure Malt Creation. I'll NEVER forget that one because it's one of my biggest regrets early on. Passed on it once and never saw it again. Now every time I stub my toe or get a red light right when I don't need one, I'm certain it's punishment for my past stupidity. 😂 Significantly shortens the future learning curve.

I never smellee Oajan or Habdan... never smelled Pure Malt Creation (although I love pure malt) & finally never smelled Calligraphy Rose... so many frags... so little time 🤦♂️
Great year Rams and great work by your good self,loved your Beloved man late entry ,gotta say it was my first Amouage 3 years back and well ,all I can say is I’ve got 13 Amouage fragrances in the old collection now ,it made a big impression on me for sure.under rated yes ,knocked for poor performance yes ,but goddam ,it shines in its beautiful elegance and classy wearing,for those who appreciate style and subdued inviting scents.cheers brother have a good one 🙏👍✌️

Same here with the Oud Palou, have some samples and it fits the occasion perfectly, keep on saying must get a bottle, then something else pops up.
Fate Woman, I love that, it's back up bottle worthy for me....but it keeps on alluding me, twice now. Ciel de Gum even more elusive but you never know.
I had a conversation with a seller at a perfume auction near me, apparently sells her back ups now and again when she sees interest online. She recently offloaded some old style bottles of Serge.
Ignore the hecklers.....you clearly are different, it's ok to show your collection of vintage and discontinued gems but you also show what you are after. Not many do that. Recently there was a 'Unicorn' video that was quite comical but also distasteful, coveting these bottles....but you can't get them anymore! 😂
Les jeux sont faits.....no one brings that beauty up. I love it, even more because it's under the radar.
As for that Liz Moores video, there is so much info and knowledge to be gleaned from that, I've watched it several times but keep getting distracted by her flashing her thighs!🔥🔥🔥

Not sure if this has been done, on a similar line of suggestion, how about Chooseday ( Tuesday) Talks. Previous wk put out a questionnaire the most hit you talk about it/them. Assuming Tuesdays are good for you. 🤔
Phew! I'm so glad you said that about IA, playful, pleasant to my nose and they just don't work on my skin. The base on everyone of the sample set is too similar and synthetic ( not good synthetic) on me at least.
I so wanted them to be better.

Absolue Pour Le Soir was "axed" because according to MFK himself, he only sold like 5 Bottles of it within a year. So while the fragcom loves to talk about it, no one else bought it.
Yeah i heard him say that... i think he was exaggerating...still they shouldnt have axed it in my opinion... even though it isnt my favorite it showed his brand could take a chance...everything he has left is syerilzed and boring

i get tobacco in Oud Palao, very good skanky western oud, opens with that burnt rubber tire accord, once that passes its smooth sailing

I have tried many of them. I gave up.
I feel you there... try Bond No New York Oud ... its the only one I came across I liked ...not a love but a like😬

Ohhh i never thought of that... i dont think so since it is so infrequent with Amouage where with roja it feels like every scent is an "inspired by" scent 😂😂😂
What's your opinion on Roja Burlington 1819 (if you have smelled it yet)?
