Thank you very much for this review, I have watched several for Figment Man but this one captured the fragrance the best, in my opinion. I am still considering whether I would like a bottle of this, but I definitely bought one of Myths Man and it was the best decision ever. It is so captivating and I received compliments each time I wore it.
Thanks so much for the comment. All I can say is that if you like Myths man you will appreciate this. It's pretty much the same idea. Also, it's discontinued :)
@@SeldomlyOften I've already got a sample I use from time to time (as with all Amouages, it lasts for an eternity) 😅 Hopefully I'll find a good offer online!
Great review. I'm getting to know this one and it's very interesting. I'm on my 4th time wearing it and I'm loving it more and more. An Ants Life is a great perspective. And for maybe some of us a little older "Honey I Shrunk the Kids". I'm getting an animalistic bee on dandelion feel. Some potent top heavy animalistic dandelion honey. That citrusy, earthy, floral honey with an earthy damp moss, some roots, probably fungi like you mentioned. Then the sandalwood. Smells like the high end modern sandalwood on the market now which has a very pungent earthy rind that fits so well into this blend. I could be reaching. Lol. I'm saving for the big bottle.
@@SeldomlyOften I seen it available for awhile. I'm late to the show. I could get a 100m for like $150 usd yesterday when I looked. I guess I better hurry. I still have to buy more Christmas presents so I'll cross my fingers and hope Santa gets me it.
@@SeldomlyOften I didn't get this distinguished animalistic note at first but I can now recall it. It smells like our lake on a crisp cool spring morning with the smell of beavers being stirred by the sun and dew, a hint of ferret. Morning fishing near the beaver dams on the creek nearby.
Hey m8, I really appreciate your perspective on this scent! I got it myself now 1 week ago! I find it absolutely wonderful, though I agree with you that it is not an everyday work type of scent. In what kind of situation would you wear it?
Thanks for the comment! Some may say you can wear anything anywhere but I feel you. Some fragrances, especially the more experimental, are intended to be worn as an experience. It’s sounds super lame but give it a try: try wearing this while watching a specific movie or listening to specific music. Don’t forget that fragrances trigger one of our senses, a very evocative one at that; don’t discount them as just a “smell good accessory”. The more you wear it the more you’ll feel comfortable wearing it and you’ll be surprised in what situations you can pull it off. Try spraying less at first and try wearing the dry down as it’s the easier part to get used to.
I like most of it but the animalics smell less well done than many others, ive read they probably used animalis in this, not civet nor hyrax. and i would liked more greenery mossy feels instead of dry soily ones
@@pasf4118 I actually get a very wet mossy green, I don’t know what animalis smells like. This really reminds me ai should get some oils to have a better reference for some stuff.

Yeah me too and I understand the perceived funkiness. This is not designed to be a “smell good” fragrance, rather “smell interesting”; most women don’t dig it 😅
@@SeldomlyOftenI like a number of funky fragrances but this isn’t one of my favorites. It’s interesting but I don’t reach for it very often, even when wife is out of town
hollow knight reference in a fragrance review, never thought i'd see the day, but i love it lol
really enjoying the content btw, keep it up!
Wanted to see if anyone noticed 🙂

@@Funkincense great stuff and love your description. Is it still easy to find there, being discontinued and all?

This is one of my favourites of all the perfumes i have. Probably top 5 from my collection
Agree, it’s really underrated, it makes you really understand how unreliable the Fragrantica scoring is
What else is in that top five?? 😊
@@markoq1879 1. Gold man
2. Figment man
3. Overture woman
4. Beach hut man
5. Reflection 45
Just got this today , not sure what the fuss is about it’s not that
challenging I think it’s beautiful.

Love the description of this one - particular being like a mushroom! It’s weird but I do know what you mean. Thank you, my friend.
You are so welcome

Anyone know where to buy 50ml Amouage bottles for Europe?
They only made 50ml for certain frags, I think they are now discontinued?

Robes08 that’s a good one you watch to much of him 😂😂
I just like clear, knowledgeable and honest personalities 😉
It's a beautiful and complex fragrance. Obviously not for all though. Strictly for artisanal Fragheads.
Definitely falls into the “experience” category 😉
