Eh I have the SL trim level of one of these. I love the thing. Enough that I fully built the engine with a high-compression, high-revving all motor build. Gutted it and put in a roll-cage and race seats. Then threw in a LSD in the trans. Weighs about 2500lbs with room for more weight reduction and makes around 300whp. Absolute riot to drive.
They're underrated cars and only 16,000 were built. Not many will have the chance to drive one or own one while prices are skyrocketing. They are a legend in gran turismo and they are a legend when built and owned right.
such a nice video. This was one of my dream cars to drive until I found out that working under the hood is a nightmare. Its sad that the parts supply is very low and I have to pull out the engine every time just to fix some minnor issues....
Their is a are LM (or somthing like that) version of the car thats whole deal was WEIGHT REDUCTION, i did not know of its existance tell a few months ago when i saw somone post one on FBM in my home state. Super rare and could find almost nothing about it on line, it seemed like it had a weird transmission for the generation but owner said nothing of a tans swap.
I saw one last sunday as i pulled up to auto zoen to check for wheel acid. All black Gen 1, I was so happy when i saw the "twin turbo" written on the back left pillar. Poped my head out right at the guy was opening the door and said, DUDE IS THAT A REAL VR4?!?!??!?! didnt even see his face cuz i was staring at the car, but my mom said he lit up like crazy with a smile. Ill have one one day when im done copying the SCARD MC8, and painting my 99 f4. And it strangly puit me in a position where im invited to hang with 1jz jack and Nathan tiller in texas, drifting in the warehouse LOL car comunity go crazy.

Not a DSM, DSM were built in Normal, IL. 3000gt/Stealths are made in Japan. Not a single badge, marking, etc on the car states DSM.

I had a 94 stealth rt/tt and that thing was sick. I raced everything and usually ended up winning, especially if the road had some turns

as an owner, i can tell you that it is a hassle to worn on but you do not have to pull the engine to do minor work
