I'm doin the same thing to my 98 accord sedan! I have my arp head studs and have main studs otw. Don't forget to change your f23 timing cog to the h22 timing cog. Last thing is if you want the best sounding exhaust, get the mugen twin loop made for the prelude. No other exhaust sounds better. Oh, wait! That was my idea...
Anyway u could post a parts list needed to build the g23 to handle power? Possibly a step by step video on the build, it would be awesome to see it built
Such a shame you didn't get to finish it. Great job though doing a f22a1 build keeping the f22 head possible but I'm considering doing a cam and bigger intake if I can.
I read a guy said he originally put the H22 head gasket in but then decided to switch it to the F23 head gasket. Saying it was better. I currently can't decide if I need to bore the F23 to 87mm or leave it at 86mm. If you can shed some light I'd appreciate it.
wanted to do this bcuz roller rockers etc but went h22 head. Nippon racing k20a2s are holding up well, 210lbs across the board w 2 stacked f23 hgs, yours would have a bit more.
I have an ex accord SOHC vtec f22b1. And I am looking to throw an h series head on or f20b dohc vtec blue top head same thing whatever h22a4 h23 f20b euro r red top blue. DOHC vtec head. Or whatever I can get my hands on. Is it easier since I am already vtec and throw the head straight on Or am I going to have to do the same thing. If you could please send me a simple list I would appreciate it of what I need to put the head on my f22b1 SOHC vtec block technically g22?
Go with the h22a4 head with the K series pistons. You can use the stock size rods and the stock size pistons. (I believe they’re 87mm) You will need to change out your F22 water pump gear with an H22 water pump gear. And you will need to plug the two Extra oil drain holes on the H22 head. But they have a kit for that.
We got rid of the accord because we are going to put it into a different vehicle. But we are waiting to do more on it when we move in our new shop here in just a couple of weeks.
We are now in Hannibal Missouri, but this video was recorded when we were in Denver. We are not working in this build anymore, but we are working on a 1977 Toyota Celica GT build.
@@710performance well I really want help because I have a 92 Accord wagon full H 22 on standby because I just wanna use the head and trans on my F 22 block
Will this work with an f23a4 block as opposed to the f23a1? Iirc its just the headers that are different but dunno for sure. If so though, I'm boosting my Accord in the near future
Awesome build I'm working on 02 Accord F23 build atm love seeing other F builds!
Thank you! It's exciting!

@@710performance no. I'm just gonna crush every one in my town.
Brandon Nesbitt Now that’s what I like to hear! 😂🤙
I have a f22 and today I bought a h22 head for do the same🔥🔥🔥..
You gonna be my mentor.. good luck boss 🤙
Thank you!
Which f22
really looking forward to see this build
Right on! We're stoked to bring it to you!

We were not able to finish the build because we had to move. I'll see if I can find the link to one and post it

Yes, it is a bummer for sure! But good things are still to come! Good luck on your build!
I’m interested in seeing the end result in the g23 build and I’m considered on doing the swap
We had to scrap the build when we moved =(
Can't wait!
me either!

Keep the stock 86mm but upgrade the pistons, you can also you the the stock rods with the 86mm and you'll get awesome compression I believe 11:1
@@710performance Im going to be ordering 12.5:1 lol
Lol I just read that last night too, I have a h22 head gasket and I can see there it looks like oil will leak when I lay it on the F23A block.
I was told in a f23 build I can run K20a1 piston an stock f23 rods they have the same wrist pin size
Yes I have heard the same thing!
Please keep updates I have a built F head always wanted to go DOHC but I like the scream of the sohc haha
John Varanelli Hahahaha will do my friend! We’ve got some videos in the works.

ken frazee 🤙
Question do you have to use k series pistons or would factory pistons work🤔 and if you have to use k series pistons why 🤔
I don’t believe you have to use them
I got a g23 but can't get it to quit smoking mostly on decel an slowing down but when running it hard hardly no smoke any idea's
What color of smoke is it? Do you think you're maybe burning a bit of oil? It could be a bad piston ring too.
Was this build ever finished??
It was not, we ended up moving and couldn’t take it with us
Hows G coming? Mine's turned out to be a reliable daily but 95a mounts and those 520lb S2 springs stopped being cool after a few hundred miles.
We haven't got it totally finished yet, we're looking to move into a bigger shop so we have a bit more room!
Looking to do the same I have the same f23a1
AWESOME!
Is it done ?
We needed the space, then we moved so we had to get rid of it =(
link for the close off oil port kit? i have a complete minty f20b head i’m throwing on my jdm f23a block
I'll have to find it!
What kit did you buy to cover the oil port
We didn’t, we had to abandon this build a few years ago, we moved 1000 miles and couldn’t take it with us.

I was looking for it but I do not. Sorry
Are you gonna run a stock bottom end or do you have high compression pistons planned?
We're going to use high compression pistons, but we're going to use the stock (well stock size) rods
710 Performance nice! What CR u shooting for & what fuel planned?
Any updates on the g23

What crankshaft you use for this build?
the stock one should work just fine from what we found
@@710performanceok. how much horses will this build will put out?
@@LeathafaceTV Without it being boosted you should be able to get 300 to 350

I don't know for sure, I believe so.
Is the project still going or has this stopped
It’s stopped
Do you run the f23 or H22 tensioner pulley?
I believe the H22
It's Lance Armstrong
you know it!
What happened to this build
We had to get rid of it when we moved states
😅 this guy is all over the place . You should label your videos, " A whole bunch of projects" 😅😅
Good idea!
