For the gear you're using that's come out well & you've had clear skies with no Moon so I'm jealous lol. I think Luke used an IR cut filter if I remember rightly when he shot dark nebulae. I might go for this target again sometime & hopefully not have stars like Pacmen this time. Clear skies!!
@@whyf16uy If it's a non modded camera then the IR filter fitted can block a lot of signal which is more noticeable on emission nebulas I think Luke just used the Baader IR cut filter on one of his OSC astro cameras. I still say you've done a great job though way better than what I've managed using DSLR's in the past.
As an Aussie, I loved the joke..... and the final image too, great stuff!! I have the Bresser EXOS2 mount too, but run it with Astroberry, and have a few questions that I will fire your way one day soon!!

I thought the ir filter built in to the DSLR would do the trick. Maybe not.

Thanks, I get jealous of your work all the time.
Not bad at all. Skies down your way were pretty dark 10 years ago.
Yea they're still not bad if you get out of town a ways but living across the street from Cafe Rio is not a good thing.
