Hi. AFAIK changing bands on HILINK enabled USB dongles is not possible. They do not support AT+C commands, in fact they are kind of "routers" with built in WWW management. You may try to change FW version on particular modem to non-hilink if possible. There are some options, for example it is possible for E3372H - here in polish you can find some tutorial - www.bez-kabli.pl/viewtopic.php?t=45272
Hey, I'm using the E3276 with TL-MR3420 router, but my router and modem couldn't detect LTE signal and always set in 3G H+ (autodetect). I can force it in PC using the modem driver app to always use LTE (works fine with 90% signal strength) but I can't do that in the router. Will this solution do the trick?
This tutorial is explaining how to reconfigure USB dongle modem (LTE or 3G), not the router, If you have USB modem then watch carefully whole video. First you need to have Mobile Partner installed on the PC. Second - you need to be logged in as an Administrator to your Windows PC. Then go through the Control Panel in Windows and check what is the Serial Port number attached to your Huawei modem driver. This will be COMxx which you have to use to conenct with Putty ( Serial )
Hi Benny, I don't think the modem will let you to select other bands than those from SYSCFGEX output. Maybe some firmware update would help but this really depends on the Huawei radio chip inside the modem. Hello sir.. how to add band on firmware modem.. my firmware just only B1 B3 B40.. how add B8 ? Thanks
Hi. Band list is chip dependent.
Full description of the magic command below :
AT^SYSCFGEX="(net_order)",(band),(roaming),2,(lteband),,
where:
(Net order) - list of preferences of network types. Valid values are:
00 - All types of networks
01 - only 2G
02 - only 3G
03 - only 4G
99 - leave it unchanged
Codes can be combined. Eg. "0302" - preference LTE -> 3G
(Band) - code allowable ranges for networks 2G / 3G. Possible values are:
80 - GSM1800
300 - GSM900
80000 - GSM850
200000 - GSM1900
400000 - UTMS B1 (2100)
800000 - UTMS B2 (1900)
4000000 - UTMS B5 (850)
2000000000000 - UTMS B8 (900)
1 - BC0A
2 - BC0B
4 - BC1
8 - BC2
10 - BC3
20 - BC4
40 - BC5
400 - BC6
800 - BC7
1000 - BC8
2000 - BC9
4000 - BC10
8000 - BC11
10000000 - BC12
20000000 - BC13
80000000 - BC14
3FFFFFFF - all ranges
Each code represents a hexadecimal (HEX) value. To specify a combination of ranges is necessary to lay down the appropriate codes. For example, to specify the range of GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, we must calculate 0x80 + 0x300 + 0x0x80000 = 0x80380. This will be the result code range - 80380.
(Roaming) - the roaming setting:
0 - disable
1 - allow
2 - remain unchanged
(Lte band) - code allowable ranges LTE.
1 - B1 (FDD 2100)
4 - B3 (FDD 1800)
40 - B7 (FDD 2600)
80 - B8 (FDD 900)
80000 - B20 (FDD 800)
2000000000 - B38 (TDD 2600)
8000000000 - B40 (TDD 2300)
800C5 - EU bands (LTE Band 1, 3, 7, 8, 20)
800D5 - EU/Asia/Africa bands (LTE Band 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20)
7FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF - all ranges
For forcing modem to LTE and band 40 and disable roaming:
AT^SYSCFGEX="03",3FFFFFFF,0,2,8000000000,,

hi man, can you help me with huawei rotator e3276 ?
Same command should work
hI, IS THERE A WAY TO ENABLE GPS INFO ?
There may be AT^WPDOM=? commands on modem but haven't tried.
You may try info from this spec : download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=50243
can u pls give the command for locking modem to band 5
Hi you may try following command :
AT^SYSCFGEX="03",3FFFFFFF,2,4,10,,
according to this guide it may work but I havent tried :
7FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF(CM_BAND_PREF_ANY) Any frequency band
1(CM_BAND_PREF_LTE_EUTRAN_BAND1) LTE BC1
2(CM_BAND_PREF_LTE_EUTRAN_BAND2) LTE BC2
4(CM_BAND_PREF_LTE_EUTRAN_BAND3) LTE BC3
10(CM_BAND_PREF_LTE_EUTRAN_BAND5) LTE BC5
40(CM_BAND_PREF_LTE_EUTRAN_BAND7) LTE BC7
80(CM_BAND_PREF_LTE_EUTRAN_BAND8) LTE BC8
80000(CM_BAND_PREF_LTE_EUTRAN_BAND20) LTE BC20
40000000(CM_BAND_PREF_NO_CHANGE) No band change
@@justanengineer5599 thx, but its giving a +cme error 50
Could yoy give an output of the command : AT^SYSCFGEX=?
@@justanengineer5599
^SYSCFGEX:("00","01","02","03","99"),((2000000400380,"GSM900/GSM1800/WCDMA BCVIII/WCDMA BCI"),(280000,"GSM850/GSM1900"),(3fffffff,"All bands")),(0-2),(0-4),((80080000c5,"LTE BC1/LTE BC3/LTE BC7/LTE BC8/LTE BC28/LTE BC40"),(7fffffffffffffff,"All bands"))
as you can see above in output of this command , your modem does not support BC5 band (radio chip does not support it). Only LTE BC1/LTE BC3/LTE BC7/LTE BC8/LTE BC28/LTE BC40 are supported, this is why you are getting an error.
sir how use on huawei b310..?
Huawei B310 is HiLink based device. See this video

@@justanengineer5599 thanks, sir and now a problem error to lock band 1and 8 lte ...only can lock band 3 and 40..help me to fix ..!
The question is if your router supports these bands. It is single band only so you may select only one band at a time
single lock just still error on band 1 or band 8, and band 3,40 lte no problem...!
Have you tried wifi app huactl ? Maybe your bands are not added to this command line tool and you have to write to the author of the application
Como coloco band 700mhz?
LTE 28 (700MHz) :
AT^SYSCFGEX="03",3FFFFFFF,2,4,8000000,,
pledas how tomake lock cell id mr?? please
Hi, cell id lock is not possible on regular firmware. You would need huawei internal software to do it
bro plz tell me another app like putty
You may use Hyperterminal helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-hyperterminal/
I've used "dc-unlocker2client_1.00.1429" before Putty. I prefer Putty but DC-Un... work for free as an AT command client.
