The thing about this feature that hasn't been fixed (and it's pretty basic and obvious) is that when you create a button or link (nav) as a master component, after you copy it to create the same button but with different texts the changes you make to the states in the master won't be inherited completely by the copies. eg. I create a button that says "Buy" and a copy of that master that says "rent" and another that says "swap", even if I change the texts on the default state of the buttons when you hover on them it will show the hover state of the master with the text that is on the master. It is such a basic thing that should be solved and they haven't. So, in thi end you end up creating every button as a master because inherited states don't work. Cheers!
done the first one ok.. but the circle wont move (after i moved it to right) when i go back and test the default state and second state ?why is that thanks
okay I'm trying to do the hover state with a square button for example and I want it to expand evenly around all the 4 sides, when I do change the size it will only ever expand from the bottom and right side diagonally from the top left green corner marker which indicates the component is the master, has anyone had this problem and if you did how did you make it work?
Still doesn't work. I have a classic switcher with two icons, one is on state 1 and the other is in state 2. The first state is OK but when I click to the second state and then back to the first state again the icon from the second state refuses to leave, so then I'm stuck with two icons. The icon from state 2 is NOT placed in state 1. Everything is linked as described. XD is inconsistent and buggy.
@dansky Great video explaining component states. Is it possible to save assets of different component states? Let's say we create an icon, and make changes in the component states, can we save all the component states in assets?
if you don't have that whole section there then you're either not interacting with a component or you need to update the XD application if it says instance then you need to find the master first
I found a bug in the latest adobe 😆 update It is that if we place two components with the hover effect on each other, then the upper component does not work, the hover effect only works on the lower object Checked it on the product card, when you hover over the product card, it changed, and the button that was in it (layer above) when you hover remained the same

It's incredible. Adobe avoided solving the live collaboration issues this time too, although they have announced a solution for this for TWO freakin years now! As typical is with Adobe they made a promise to launch live collaboration prior to Adobe Max - again. Wow. I have no trust in this company anymore. Figma is still beating Adobe senseless in that area, with just a fraction of Adobes development budget they have managed to build an application we can actually use in teams with live non destructive collaboration AND they did it ages ago.

How do you do nested hover states - a drop down with components that when you rollover with in change to rollover states

How we make animate XD to JavaScript and use it on code project?
Can't find the "Master Component" in my panel
Right click on the Component and click on 'Edit Master Component' or hit shortcut Ctrl+Shift+K.
At last they added the hover function 😌
