For everyone asking, there is not currently an option for the mouse wheel to be used. This is a prototyping app to show general function and the look of the website or app and not the final product. That being said, Adobe really needs to put a scroll wheel animation function

Hey Jesse. I think you have the best XD Tutorials and to some degree prefer Adobe over Figma. But say if I’m accepted to a Design position at a company that wants me to use Figma, how would I do exactly this on Figma parallax websites. I would love to see how you teach it. I think you have a gift for teaching and being yourself at the same time ! I would love to see a video on this. And a HUGE emphasis on more up to date coding and animations for anima!!!!!

hi Jesse! I was looking for a long a time a video tutorial of this... thanks so much! And sorry, just for curiosity... did you design the site in a XD project first, and then you created a new project to animate? Or do you work in the same file with multiple artboards? I'm working in a big website project right now with many interactions and I would like to present to my client with a parallax like this, but including all the other interactions too.. Could you tell me what is the best way to do it or give me any advice, please? Thanks!

Hey, clean tutorial gg ! Is that possible to make the same but the animation "start" with the scroll of the mouse ? Like on the apple website -> at each notch of the scroll, it make tiny % of the animation ? Tysm

Isn't it also possible to create the effect within one frame with component states? It would take much less space.

That feature is not yet in adobe xd
So when a person uses the scrollwheel instead of the down arrow she sees nothing? Is there a way to trigger by the mouse wheel? Because no one uses those arrows despite UI Designers
I think that's only for presentation purposes and to give devs an idea of what it should look when finished. The best way to present this as a prototype to the client is having a static version and the recorded video of the parallax one, by pressing the arrows.
hello thnx for this video but i have a question please can i make a portefolio with parallax i mean after i make in XD the prallax would it still work if i export it to PDF folder or it will fixed without any animation ?

What if someone uses the mouse scroll button when prototyping the smooth parallax will it still work?

I don’t think it’s possible in Xd yet, but triggers on scroll would be so helpful. You can feature request it on User Voice.

Why do people call it parrallax, when it's not parallax? The only thing that is scrolling in parallax motion is a wine bottle versus the background.
This will continue to be absolutely useless until they add a mouse scroll trigger. NO ONE browses on the keypad and it's sad that they can't solve it for years.
