Gotta love that mad dogging Zhang Fei and Dian Wei are giving each other in the first cutscene. The first battle is about the same as usual. Only real difference is that Guan Yu doesn't steal kill Hua Xiong from anyone this time. Oh yeah, and we're playing as Guan Yu this time. He's got a pretty solid moveset and a really good buff. His musous are also damn strong, a lot of range, and unblockable.
In the second battle you actually HAVE to fight Lu Bu for a little while. Well that or run away. I do a little of both. Once the catapults appear he'll retreat because...I dunno he gets bored and just doesn't feel like protecting it. Fine by me. After that it's just breaking through the rest of Dong Zhuo's forces.

This is why shu is my favorite kingdom because liu bei was pretty much unknown in the beginning unlike sun jian or cao cao and yet he's known as one of the great heroes in China
Hua Xiong looks great in DW9. I wish he got his spear back instead of that puny club.

Did you know Guan Yu originally used the Pike Moveset in the vanilla game before the expansion gave him back his Green Dragon blade? I prefer his old weapon from the classic games.

However in the real history, Sun Jian killed Hua Xiong.
@@darwizentertainment In fact, the Three Brothers didn't even participate in the campaign against Dong Zhuo. They were busy fighting Yellow Turban remnants.
