    Lyrics:
    Crawling in my skin
These wounds, they will not heal
    Fear is how I fall
    Confusing what is real
There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
    Consuming, confusing
This lack of self-control I fear is never-ending
    Controlling, I can't seem
To find myself again, my walls are closing in
    Without a sense of confidence
I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take
I've felt this way before, so insecure
    Crawling in my skin
These wounds, they will not heal
    Fear is how I fall
    Confusing what is real
Discomfort endlessly has pulled itself upon me
    Distracting, reacting
Against my will, I stand beside my own reflection
    It's haunting how I can't seem
To find myself again, my walls are closing in
    Without a sense of confidence
I'm convinced that there's just too much pressure to take
I've felt this way before, so insecure
    Crawling in my skin
These wounds, they will not heal
    Fear is how I fall
    Confusing what is real
    Crawling in my skin
These wounds they will not heal
    Fear is how I fall
    Confusing, confusing what is real
(There's something inside me that pulls beneath the surface
    Consuming)Confusing what is real
(This lack of self-control I fear is never-ending
    Controlling)Confusing what is real

    😢😢💔💔 RIP Chester.
Saw LP at the BFD concert in SJ with my brother back in the day. There was a mosh pit close to the stage and someone fell and was getting trampled. LP stopped the concert immediatly and demanded ppl pick them up and help. LP then made us all repeat the answer to their question "When you see someone fall, what do you do!?" PICK THEM UP! The concert resumed after Chester announced that we need to look out for each other and be safe and if he thought we were not doing that the concert would end. Immediately the atmosphere changed and ppl were being more respectful. I have always considered this to be the best concert I ever attended, and I have been to many. The care they showed for fans was touching...I wish we could've been there to pick Chester up when he needed it😥💔. Prayers for his family, friends and all us fans who are grieving this loss.
Suicide is never the solution...talk to people, chances are they care more than you know.

The video is about a girl who has to deal with her fathers abuse towards her . Sadly, Chester himself was abused as a child and I can see he used his music to convey his own emotions. And it is conveyed in this song. thank you Chester for the amazing music. That helped by battle my own depression as a teenager. Now at 28 in still battling depression. And music has helped me stay alive and has given my life meaning.
Hybrid theory is currently number 3 in iTunes. It feels like 2001 again. Except back then there was no iTunes...
I was hoping a for a new album that sounded similar to hybrid theory. But now in the end it doesn't even matter anymore. The band will most likely break up after this.
    RIP CHESTER
This is still one the their best songs and one of the best songs ever made.

Alex Malevanyy You fucking privileged dip shit. have you ever stopped to consider life outside your tower of "Jesus"? Real life where people have real, horrible things happen that stay with them forever, real nightmares? You don't even fucking know this guy, but here you come with your smug, self-righteous bullshit. Oh just give it all to God and everything will be okay, its sooooo easy....I was the only one of five brothers to escape the sexual perversion in our house but I got it every other way. This man's voice was my only light for years....he screamed when I couldn't. You have no idea what real people are going through, so you can fuck right the hell off with your condescending foppery. Don't pass go, don't collect shit, just fuck directly off to somewhere capable of teaching you respect for others.

What is wrong with him trying to comfort someone? What is wrong with Jesus did He do some evil to you. Have you been abused? So have I. Have you done monsterous things that keep you up at night? So have I. Have you tried to end your pain only to cause more? So have I.Have you had people grab you and try to hang you because of you skin tone? Have you suffered the loss of friends and loved ones? I am not perfect and I have suffered a great deal. I believe in Jesus and hope that one day my tears will be wiped away and my wounds healed. The post was not offensive and maybe the guy has had a better experience than I and is trying to encourage someone. The world suffered a great loss today. We should not be fighting but remembering.

I remember hearing Linkin Park for the first time in 9th grade. I remember I never heard anything so raw, so real, so relatable as this song. Chester's soothing voice in the verses that become raw and powerful during the chorus. Listening to Linkin Park was like having a special friend who understood everything you were going through during those childhood years. Linkin Park was the shoulder you can cry on, whenever you wanted. So sad Chester took his own life. RIP legend.

Not really, they always sing about depression, Chester even said that inside of his head is "another Chester that just wants to bring him down" and after one of his best friends died, and the fans didn't react that great on the new songs, including that he had problems with drugs and alcohol, it's not that unexpected, so in conclusion this year was terrible for Chester :(( R.I.P Chester...

Something I notice about LP fans is that almost impecable grammar we all have, even if English isn't our first language. The composition of all LP songs are so rich, and Mike and Chester together are too perfectionists about their songs. I see all of you like my brothers and sisters, because LP saved my life when I was a pre-teen locked in my room alone and still saves me sometimes when I'm terrible lonely at my home. Chester knows something about life that I'm learning. Ironically, my father commit suicide some years ago and he looked a lot like Chester, and he was just 1 year older than Chester. I love both deep in m heart in pray every single day to stay strong and find my on way to live life.

It's not a prophecy, depression is real struggle day to day, some people get situational depression and but get what is normal to them to be happy. Clinical depression other mood disorders it's a rare occasion to feel happy or ok. His music did not foretell his fate. His music was art, expression his anger, self loathing, years of pain, pointless depression, and it not only help him survive in a world and the celeberiy industry that focuses on being Normal, but he brought music to the counter culture and all youth who connect. They all feel something, for some it puts in words to their existential existence, or Current state of apathy. It was not destined to be because, he lost the battle with him self, he lost or ran out of a passion for the one thing, he might of had left. That in this over populated, pre distopian world we currently live in. Where taking your own life is compared to that of being a for told prophecy, meant to drive the protagonist to then fulfill said prophecy. Pick up a book, and just respect the artist.

This song has so much feelings beneath. The lyrics are clear, but at the same time I always questioned: Why? Why he is feeling so insecure? Why the walls are closing in? Why these wounds will never heal?
Well, the wounds will never heal because they are not in the skin, they are on the heart.
Wounds on the heart never heals, you always remind them.
This song is about Chester's depression.
He was also abused when was a child, which is represented by the girl on this video.
I never understood the lyrics of this song. I just understood it after Chester passed away :(
Chester himself said this song was one of his favorites songs to sing.
So much respect to this song!
Thank you Chester, wherever you are, for bringing this song to us!

it was 2001 when it was first released, back in the time when mental health issues weren't recognized yet and people would only tell you to "cheer up" or "go out often" when you tell them what you've been going through. Back then listening to Linkin Park was one of the few things that would make you feel like someone out there understands. Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda, the rest of the band and all their songs would always be close to my heart.
