Crazy episode! Can't believe the one couple! Sounds like they cheated Phil out of a commission plus grossly deceptive about their budget. Good grief!!!
What nasty people. Well, Phil and Christy just hang on because there is such a thing as karma and it will come around and bite that couple in the butt? They also showed the world that they are not trust worthy to pull this type of crap on a show that is internationally viewed take some gall.
@@baldwinleatherworks Kirstie
@@baldwinleatherworks Thoroughly agree! Horrible people! (I hope karma finds them!)
what on earth makes you think they earned commission? lmao
Does Phil get a commission? I would imagine there are lots of real estate agents around the country working behind the scenes that he reps for this show. His pay comes from the program. Or am I wrong? I know he is an agent but not for the whole British isles.
Great show and Phil and Kirsty worked their butt off. But all is well in the end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏👏🥰🤗
👍👍👍 All Homes is THE channel for Location Location Location episodes. Its a question of quality. Best Volleyball is a WASTE OF TIME channel.
Cathcart & Battlefield are very rough, very diverse incase anyone is wondering why Adam reacted like that. Paisley used to be fantastic (60's-90's) but went really downhill with mill closures and loss of textile industry. They also removed all the cobble streets & trams for some daft reason. Now Paisley is ramping up it's diversity with assylum seekers which is diversifying the house prices negatively.
I remember Cathcart as quite upmarket 40yrs ago
@@ΑντωνηςΜανωλαγκας I have a number of great old photos of these areas when they were beautiful affluent places. Sadly no longer the case. Not sure what’s to blame - so multi faceted.
Has any of the clients bought the 1st or even 2nd house Kirstie and Phil have shown them?
I used to stay here how odd
if she wants to own a property someday she needs to ditch adam for somebody who is willing to someday
The girlfriend should just buy it herself.
Adam …narcissist for sure!!! Run away!!
Both of these buyers 😳🤡
I knew Adam at university. He's a good guy trust me. A bit of editing, and a bit of huffing and puffing from kirsty, and they've formed a narrative about this guy which is totally wrong. Its his money, he was obviously on a small salary at 23 or 24 - who wasn't? And who hasn't grown since that age? Lets just be gentle with people. He's trying to make the right choice and struggled to make the leap to something not perfect. By now no doubt he has 4 times the income, has sold and bought at least once and is still a good guy at heart. Good luck to you!
He was just obviously too young for property-buying at the time. Kirstie was right -- he was obsessed by how the purchase would reflect on him, and thinking of it much less as an actual home.
The buyers in this episode were ill mannered and thoughtless - poor Phil and Kirstie
So many of the young buyers can't seem to understand what they can..and cannot..have on their budget
@@brendadion7868 entitled beyond belief. There was a girl wanting a mansion like her parents one with a £250K budget 😂😂
Wow that married couple was grimy going behind Phil’s back
When does a 3 year old decide where you will live?
When the parents scam Pip.......😉
When you are dim, over-indulgent parents.
Don't laugh but I've had many situations where a house was sold or rented out thanks to the kiddies positive reaction.
Raising a totally spoiled child. Why do 3 people need a 5 bed?
yeah, I think it's unfair to Phil. They should have given the same budget to him
Phil and Kristie are by far the best part of this show. They work together so well. Funny and not phony.
Wow. They played Phil and were sneaky and dirty going behind his back
Not necessarily. If they happened to drive by an estate with an open model home, they may have just succumbed to a good salesperson or a work colleague who is also a realtor.
😂😂😂😂😂and then they chose to voluntarily go to EKB. 😂😂😂😂
That grimy couple. Now their grime is forever displayed and replayed on UA-cam 😂
I think John and Emma were planning this sort of shut out from the squit squat and I can ony wonder how Phil didn't lose it on them. Do these people get money from doing the show? If so J&E scammed you.
What a shady couple, scammers, good thing they listen to a 3 year old. Lets hope she grows up honest and with some integrity.
The couple only has a 3 year old and complaining about the house size. They told Phil their budget was 359k, that new build was 395k and that was too expensive. No, I think your a snob and want to be in the posh neighborhood. Wonder where this couple is now and if they were able to keep that house. They went 120k over budget. As for the younger guy about to move in with his girlfriend and still wants a roommate. If she was going to help with the mortgage. They don't need a roommate. Bet these places are double the value in 2023.
Oh, God, I love Kirstie!!! She is THE best. She's funny. Phil and she are the most wonderful entertainment. I could watch them ALL DAY LONG. They simply brighten my life.
When I first found them a year ago during the pandemic I binged location, location, location after moving into my house. 😂
@@TimNewmanGaming They're THE BEST anti-depressant!
Ugh! I am suffering from withdrawal symptoms as I've run out!! (And re-watched all of them once already!).
Very entertaining presenters. Love them too
Perfect presenter couple, amiable, joyful, so knowledgeable about property purchases what’s not to like… I LOVE them
John and Emma have downright angered me with their misrepresentation. The weeping etc. now look to be just part of the deception, along the lines of 'let's put these poor property hunters through the mill, up against an impossible set of requirements, and pitch hysterical fits if they don't find it for us.' When all the while they could, and did, pay up for what they and Lily would consider satisfactory.
I have to wonder if it was just a case of they wanted to spend 350k, but then realized that in order to get what they want where they want, hey needed to spend more.
@@Kevin-sm8pn but they were telling them that from the beginning!! And they kept bitching about the prices over over and over. The realtors didn't have a clue they would EVER go over THAT much. Gezuz
@@kellyk.3855 Yes, but things can change, hon.
I don't understand the negativity directed towards the young couple, Adam seemed to have accepted towards the end that he was behaving in an untenable and unrealistic manner and the girl was cool, open minded. I'm happy for them that they managed to find their first home together and hope they enjoy it.
The couple with small child making decisions just took the p**s. I hope they enjoyed their 15 mins of fame on tv
Alexandra is insane to pay Adam's mortgage and agreeing to live in a small flat with a renter. Where is her father? Rent and let Adam pay for his own place.
Alexandra looks so unhappy/fed up the entire episode, especially at the start. So what happens if either of them fall for the lodger 😂 assuming it will be a man or woman 😅
I hope they broke up. He is so clearly a narcissist
She really does look rather downtrodden! What is she thinking??
Where was her father? What? She was a grown adult woman. Nobody was forcing her to live with her boyfriend. It was his money buying the flat, his credit, his name on the mortgage, ultimately his financial responsibility. Obviously she'd be paying rent if she was living elsewhere. If she was fine to live with her boyfriend and a roommate, that was her CHOICE. Maybe she'd have had more say had she contributed to the purchase/down payment but it was only Adam's money.
She clearly had low self esteem. Hope she moved on, he's a beetle.
"Look to either side and the people here don't take any pride in their frontage." This guy is going to make lots of friends in Glasgow. It's always good to call your neighbors slobs when you arrive in a new city.
And who wants to live next to Trashy people and spend good money on it?
Glasgow is my city, born and bred and I'm moving away due to slobs so I don't blame him.
Frontages are even worse in 2022.
@@SilverSparkles22 - Sadly that's the honest truth of Glasgow right now. It's been run into the ground by Hollyrood & the local council. Think the final straw was the sale of the city chambers & museum. Absolutely criminal.
Poor Kirstie! Adam is a very young 24. He who hesitates is lost Adam!
The older couple were told the area's not good enough which I think means they want to live more exclusively than their new colleagues. That was off-putting.
Bit naughty of the couple that wasted Phils time
Scotland's "offers over" system seems a bit demoralizing for buyers. It feels like you're paying more than the property is worth.
Then don't buy in Scotland. Problem solved, lol.
@@Kevin-sm8pn what kind of answer is that ?
It’s not going to change is it , but that doesn’t make it any less demoralising .
If you have to move there , you have to deal with it ,and it’s not easy at all .
Just not going there is a very childish response , grow up .
@@7ofthem Well, the only reason why you would HAVE to live there is either a job or family. If you don't have either tying you down to Scotland and you don't like how the scottish system works, then don't move there.
@@Kevin-sm8pn 🤣 I think you’ll find that’s what I said “ if you have to move there …”
It’s still a most childish response from you .
Don’t like it , don’t do it … ridiculous.
People are allowed to complain about a system which is notoriously difficult without just avoidance .
@@7ofthem Yes, people can complain about it. Just don't expect it to change just because you're complaining about it.
I lived in Pollokshield while attending Strath Uni and loved it. My 2 bed 2 bath was well appointed and I outfitted for under 1500. sterling. Many Busses pass by and get to Glasgow Town Centre in under 15mns or less.
Do I have this right? This pair is a "couple" and he is making her pay rent for her own room? Won't she be staying in his room? Girl you had better run!
Why shouldn’t she pay rent? She’s only his girlfriend, not his wife. If she were staying somewhere else she’d be paying rent, and likely substantially more or with several flat mates to split the cost. If they end up together definitively, then it belongs to both of them anyway.
@@kitchfacepalm Yes, but if she IS paying rent, she should have more of a say in WHO lives in that very small space. She doesn't realize that yet. And He should be involving her more in the decisions being made. They're young. They'll figure it out. (... how many years ago was this?!)
@@kitchfacepalmit would make more sense for her to pay bills. Legally, she’d actually be entitled to some of the property eventually if she is the mortgage owners partner and is paying towards it.
Why give Kirstie and Phil a budget of over £100k less than they can actually afford? Did they just want to be on 📺?
“It’s a small, little, wee wall, it hardly has a reason to live.” 😂
Why four bedroom four a couple and one child?
Office, guests, future children You don't want to buy the smallest house you can tolerate, and then find out you're pregnant with triplets.
Sorry, Adam needs to re-evaluate his priorities! He's a bit immature and he's gonna lose that girl, just sayin..Love Kirstie and her sass ❤
A bit immature? The guy's 23. Of course, he's immature! He's really still a kid!
I knew Adam at university. He's a good guy trust me. A bit of editing, and a bit of huffing and puffing from kirsty, and they've formed a narrative about this guy which is totally wrong. By now no doubt he has 4 times the income, has sold and bought at least once and is still a good guy at heart. Good luck to you!
I think Adam must have been a student - still got the student mindset that having his woman living and sharing a bed with him is fine and having a buddy in the back bedroom to have a laugh and a few drinks with is the best way to live
You may be saying this "tonge in cheak."..but good heavens this set up is NOT what a girl friends wants...
Wow! What an episode!! All the twists & turns, Kirstie’s ‘tough love,’ and good-natured sparring with Phil help balance these indecisive couples. HOW FRUSTRATING for K&P!! We don’t find out what happens until the very end- but it’s worth EVERY MOMENT ♥️‼️
I also don't understand why Adam wants a third person. If they can get that 135k flat (the first one) for 200k, which is quite a bit over, the payments are around 1,000. Split between him and his girlfriend, that is only 500 each. That seems more than reasonable.
he wants a lodger to pay the mortgage from the tenants rent and save his own.
@@NilZed1 Yeah he's tight.
He may be concerned that he won’t be able to pay the mortgage and upkeep. Perhaps the lodger is not a definite, but something he can keep up his sleeve if times get hard. That seems perfectly logical and it is what my husband and I did when looking for a flat in London. We chose somewhere, where if it became a financial necessity, we could take in a lodger.
Adam's girlfriend next to RUN now! He is psycho!
WTH is that torture choker thing that Emma is wearing ?
if you pause the video on Kirstie`s face when she`s having a tantrum 😂😂😂😂😂
John and Emma why are they breathing oxygen that others deserve.
OK, then kill them and take their house, lol. God.
It was an edited TV part of a program! please don't exaggerate! it's not that serious . I'm concerned about your mentality, if you think like that. It's not worthy of murder.
Location is key to home buying! You can have a beautiful mansion but if it’s located in a sketchy hood🫤then your mansion doesn’t feel worth it if you can’t feel safe! Location is important when it comes to job opportunities, good educational schools, calm relatively peaceful neighbors, clean manicured lawns at other homes around you cuz then you know that everyone works to maintain their properties! You always want to be in a good safe location cuz you can change a house but not it’s location!
In the flat that Adam bought, I'd have gotten rid of that blue carpet and gotten some nice flooring together, before I moved in.
seen. Seen 500 flats!!!!!!??? UNREAL! Pathetic episode. Horror.
They probably would have gone thru 10 estate agents-Real estate agents- by now. They are a likable couple, but are typically of many young people today who live in a bubble,
Those two were a nasty piece of work. Poor Phil. After all the work he did. Those are the kind of people who think only of themselves and haven't a clue that there are ways you behave and ways of behaving that are deplorable. They think life is about status, about having a big fancy house and fancy clothes. They haven't a clue.
I think they're both obnoxious couples who are taking advantage of the programme to get as much money as they can.
They obviously can afford much more than they let on.
That wasn't the case with Adam and Alexandra though, especially since Alexandra isn't putting money toward the house. She's contributing to the mortgage, but her name isn't going to be on the title, so her income doesn't factor into their budget. It's Adam's budget.
@@Kevin-sm8pn a woman is a total complete idiot to give any money for the mortgage and her name is not on the deed.
For Adam it was a matter of competition. He wanted a property if others saw its' worth. He is the type who goes for flash
I agree. I'd run from him if I were Alexandra. He's got champagne tastes on a beer budget.
@@d.d.mac.3773 Yep. I kept wondering what she sees in him. Alexandra can do better.
I think he also wants something for nothing given the weird lodger requirement.
has to realize his first home won't be his dream home. But why should it be at 23?
I knew Adam at university. He's a good guy trust me. A bit of editing, and a bit of huffing and puffing from kirsty, and they've formed a narrative about this guy which is totally wrong. "Don't worry, Phil. I'll find another use for my hammer." To knock some sense into them, presumably. Still, I can't judge. I've never had that kind of money to spend. It must be quite daunting especially in the UK where owning any property is a sign of life success, the sole source of security and happiness etc etc.
It’s not just unbelievable that he has supposedly seen 500 properties in 10 months I don’t even think it’s mathematically possible. He has seen 50 properties each and every month for the last 10 months? That’s 12.5 properties every single week. uhhhhh no.
That's possible. You can easily visit 13 houses every weekend. That's not impossible.
@@Kevin-sm8pn EVERY week for 10 months?! How many hundreds of houses do you think are for sale at any given time, within a reasonable distance from his current home in order for him to see 12 houses every week and still have a job?! Its not logical.
@@shastac1396 Girl, don't get mad at me, lol. I'm just saying it's not impossible. And I assume he didn't work on weekends. It's possible to spend two full days looking at houses. Also, keep in mind, he wasn't looking at houses. He was looking at flats, so more would be available in terms of area and especially since this was at the housing boom. More houses were probably on sale at the time because many people wanted to cash in and move on up on the property ladder, especially, again, given the fact that he was looking at flats and not houses.
@@Kevin-sm8pn Nope. But thanks for trying.
and hardly worth it when you consider how many of our tenements have basically the same floor plan.
Funny to hear Phil saying Shorelands ( yes that's what the captions made of his pronunciation ) when it's Shawlands ( shaw is a Scottish word for woods/ woodland ). Amazing the southerners who maintain that intrusive Rs are not a thing!
If the second couple bought a new-build, still owned by the builder, the builder may have financed it himself, with a bought down mortgage rate, allowing them to afford much more house.

Flat. Apartment, don't be so effing pretentious, it's Glasgow.
Having watched a series of these over many seasons, thankfully Kirsty has mellowed some.
I remember when people had dignity.
One "trick" realtors sometimes use when nothing is working, is to show people a property over their stated budget that is highly desirable - and see if they'll rise to the occasion. Often, what the buyers are looking for is out of the running, due to the too-cheap budgets they've saddled the realtors with. Shown their "dream home" however, they may well pony up the difference.
Estate Agents in the UK don't usually represent the buyer, unlike in this TV programme. The hunting is usually left to the individuals - possibly something we could do better? Though the commission would need to be deductible from Stamp Duty (transaction tax).
who let's a 3 year old decide which house to buy?🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't think they were leaving the decision up to her. They just wanted her input. They've been house hunters who let their dogs decide whether or not they should buy a house. That's worse, especially given the much shorter lifespans of dogs.
@@Kevin-sm8pn yes , the input of a 3 year old is always invaluable 😂
@@7ofthem Eh, again, better than input from a dog, lol. I've seen people on Location Location Location not buy a house because their dog didn't like it. And the dog is going to die in like five years and will be replaced with another dog who may not like the house that they bought, and then they would have to move again. How is that any better?
@@Kevin-sm8pn it’s not , both are completely ridiculous but so is your comment suggesting “they just wanted her input “ like it was ok .
Opinions of children / dogs / pets etc are completely irrelevant when it comes to house buying .
@@7ofthem I'm not saying that it's OK, like I personally wouldn't do it. But it is their choice and preference. If they want to get input from their young child, then fine. It's not like I'm buying the house for them. It's their money, and they have to feel comfortable with their purchase.
Kirstie and Phil - just brilliant, I love them, so entertaining:)
I think that 500 views knocked that guy off reasonable thought. Adam got stuck on competition because he negotiated 16 properties without a win. In the end he seemed to relax. He and Alexandra could be fine.

That young couple is straight going into divorce before even starting a couple life😂 that guy needs a shrink😂😂😂
In a word...dump Adam! RUN
I think Emma and John did a sleazy thing. And asking a three year old if she could be happy there, what a joke!
This is all a set up. If nothing else, the "offers over" system doesn't work like that in Scotland! An owner can't sell their property whenever, especially not before the closing date, so this whole "Omg sorry, this was sold last night when someone made an offer the seller liked" is just a lie made up for drama. The seller is made by law to wait until the closing time.
Well, keep in mind that this was in 2007, right before the housing crash of 2008, so no duh things are different since 15+ years ago, lol. Also, the price on that property was fixed, so there's no need to wait if the seller got the price they wanted.
Please stop putting noisy jazz in the background that drowns out our two heroes. Save it for the nightclub!
I mean, once they started taking real estate decisions from someone too young to know how long a day is, the writing was on the wall, wasn't it?

Decor can be easily changed.... seriously
Kirstie can be such a bully to get her way even ever patient Philip was obviously not pleased with her this episode.
