      They can't go off script because just like the Chinese system, the Japanese schooling and higher education system is built entirely around rote (memorization) learning purely to pass exams rather than how to actually learn a skill, hence why their degrees are useless outside of China, Korea, Japan, Singapore etc etc etc. There's a reason there's hardly any Asian-born Asians working as American tech firms - they get eaten alive when up against a western educated college graduate.

      Eh... kind of. Gift giving in Japan isn't out of the kindness of your heart, it's about etiquette you're expected to follow. In this case I would classify this as an お返し (Okaeshi). It is given as a thank-you when someone gives you something. So for instance they asked for him to give them his time, and in exchange they presented him a gift in return.

      @@sametyetimoglu6026Japaneses are famous for being socially introverted and having social anxiety. This mainly results from their hardcore study culture where they just focus on exams and never really interact with others during their students days. Also their tradition empathise on being polite and they're usually very reserved. Even in the video, you can see the boys are really shy and nervous of speaking with him. (They never attempt to communicate with him in more depths and never really respond to his questions properly. They look like parrots, just repeating what they're taught and nothing more.)
      If there is something wrong with my info, or if there's something lacking, feel free to correct me. I never really visited Japan and most of the knowledge I have is from online.

      For real though. I met a Japanese family when I was a kid on holiday and I was good friends with the sister, but the brother was really mean to us, or at least, I think he thinks he was mean 😂
      He was still so polite though, I only knew he was picking on us based on his sister's reaction.

    I'm a solo woman traveler who visits Japan often.
    One day in Tokyo, I was busy playing at a game arcade. Then a little boy of about 6 years old, who was watching me play, fell down.
    I quickly got up to help the boy on his feet and continue playing.
    About 15 minutes later, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and saw the boy with a small pack of tissues and a small box of chocolates. He handed them to me and told me thank you in Japanese.
    Behind him was his mother, thanking me, bowing and smiling at me. :)

      @@Manimanocas haha that's always the worst when you know the drill and then the adult derails from the conversation you're expected to have. When you're older or more skilled with language, sure you can branch off, but starting out you only know the basic questions and the basic answers. There's a difference between knowing the answer to "what is your name?" Versus the person asking you "hey so what do you think of the weather today?" If you didn't learn the words for today,weather, and the phrase "what do you think", you're going to be deer in headlights of what to say in return.

    • @Manimanocas
      @Manimanocas 22 дні тому

      @@HouseMDaddict Yeah haha that happens when you learn the language trough certain useful phrases. The way I learned english was a bit different though and I dont know if its better or not, I basically learnt the meaning of a bunch of words over and over before even knowing how to put them together, then I started reading phrases and slowly got better at reading and hearing them. After that writing was a easy because I could just know what felt wrong vs what felt right. I say this like it was a master plan but I dont think I can ever replicate this in my life because it was totally accidental and born from the desire to read the stupid crap my friends sent in english.

      Hey I want to tell and encourage everybody to find Jesus Christ and start living for Him. I was an atheist refusing to believe in God because it wasnt logical. But God revealed Himself to me and now i for sure know that He is real. All it takes is just a prayer with true faith and God will reveal Himself to you. If you want just call out to Him wherever you are and just trust that He is also there with you. This is your sign from God to turn to Him. You may never have another chance and also it doesnt hurt you to give God a chance to reveal Himself. God bless you and remember He loves you unconditionally ❤️❤
