i wouldn't say they feel no regret since Scrooge's whole avarice outlook is due to past regrets and failures, the whole reason he hates Christmas is because of the traumatic memories that re surface since every bad thing that happened to him in the past, happened on Christmas day but yh ur not wrong.

his own paragraph structure! he has a video on it I recommend watching - Point, Reference, Technique, Explain effect, (Context but only needed twice at max), Zoom in (go back to ur reference and zoom in), Explain zoom and Link back to your point. PRTEZEL, I've always struggled when it comes to actually writing analysis paragraphs but he really helped!

I still don’t understand how freuds ideas are contextual if it was created after Macbeth was written
It took me a long time to understand but essentially. Freud id focuses on the prospect of desire and instinct and Macbeth is a character who acts solely on his "desire "to kill and show his power on the battlefield.
The human brain remains the same no matter the time period. Freud id focuses on the psychological process of a persons mind.

@Mr Everything English do you think for Macbeth it can be based on ladh Macbeth when she receives the letter from the witches and says “unsex me here” and the questions asks how does Shakespeare present lady Macbeth as a powerful woman
And for Christmas carol it might be based on where Scrooge is with the ghost of Christmas yet to come and goes seee his own grade and the question is based on his transformation

you can use the one about the snow to portray how scrooge is rich yet still "solitary as an oyster" however the cratchit family may not have wealth but they make the most of the little they have linking to how they are joyful and try to find the best out of everything

@@worm5495 actually I'm in exact predicament as you... its probably because acc is the "easiest" text of them all and constant active recall also its like 3 primary themes that emerges in that text like redemption , ghosts (supernatural ) family and friendship

0:59 Why would this work as context if the idea of freud's id didnt exist until 1920 if the novel was written in 1843? Isn't context ment to be something that the writer could of thought about when writting the play like recent or significant events at the time.

He’s already addressed this in a short. Context can be from any time period. You can even use this context for Romeo and Juliet even though it cam out in 1500s
@@reoqq3842 I guess you could talk about the ideas surrounding Freud's id but i dont think you can talk about freuds id directly as how would of the writer beeing able to consider ideas which hadnt been concived for decades or even centuries.

u can say that he needs family to not be splitary anymore ir the importance of familg and stuff bc he rejected freds invitiation to some dinner thing but at the end he is there bc he redeemed himself and found a way not to be lonely - family
and u can say how like christmas is meant to be a time of like happiness or joy and family or something but he is solitary bc of his ties to capitalism which is a foil of how he is in christmas and etuff
u can make ur ideas just give a reason yk
so bc of his ties to capitalism - scrooge is "solitary as an oyster", even at christmas , a time of family and togetherness whereas Fred , sfrooges chwracter foil is enjoying his time with family and joy because although he has some money he isnt obsessed wiht it
money acts as a catalyst for his lonely christmas
